I must admit, a good history channel movie is more than I'm willing to read in text these days.

Carlos gave permission when he told the story of him, Howard Lee, and Bruce Lee making a home movie of a bar fight scene.

Little Smoke the moth has 1,000,000 hairs and won't play in that software. I have to animate her in "Blender" and merge a transparency onto that software you see there which is making the overall scene.
Real moths have 10 billion hairs!
I'll make a Fairy for her too, and a coyote.
And Minx a lizard and a squirrel.
Currently Minx is still having a bad hair day, but at least he has hair now.
Takes 30 minutes to render Minx, even with the world's fastest video card...

Now, you are going to have to learn how to storyboard your cartoons to plan how to have them tell the story you want. That may be the hardest part.
Actually, I just saw an old 1960's "Kimba, the White Lion" episode on YouTube and I was impressed at how well they were able to create an engaging story with such simple animation. But each shot was very well planned and used repetition where they could to extend the run time.
I could also just watch the cartoon on the wall, in the darkness.
Then copy it.
But it's a tall order, so i'm pretty sure I'll get stuck using storyboards.
I just watched at least 3, during darkroom.
But they were "cartoon fragments". With a heavy abstract content.
They caused me to post over in the advanced subreddit.
Can't post that here, beginners would use it as an excuse not to do actual work, and to pretend instead.
But in cartoon form, they wouldn't be harmful.
If you "see it with your own eyes", it's not as susceptible to pretending.
Carlos wrote like that. He might have reached the point that he nearly copied "Art of Dreaming', directly from silent knowledge text he could read from the air.
You can do some amazing stuff in silent knowledge.
Just now I realized you could find user ids in the second attention fog, compress flickering light and dream images into them, and cast that ball out into space.
I used to be able to do that only for faces, so I had to know what the witch looked like, compress a dream image of her into a ball using the Pandora's box pass, and then watch to make sure the face was still in the puff of purple, when I cast it.
But just the user ID?
Yes, you can do that! It's a "reverse lookup". Probably a post that never made it over here also.
Witches can receive that kind of message. It's just a question of whether they notice it or not.
I've seen it enough times now to know it works.

The only other person on this forum whom I've visited in dreaming is Jadey, but on that occasion I wasn't confused about it. Somehow, I knew she was a phantom, and that her purpose in that dream was simply having fun with some of the forms.
Apparently, the purpose of your phantom last night was to teach me how to play some kind of pitch-black darkroom poker or something... complete with glowing cards and chips, LOL!

Do IOBs need permission? If so, maybe I've conflated the two over the years and that's where I got that idea.
The death defier is so far outside of my pay grade, I could only hope he'd never become aware of my existence in the first place, much less willingly go anywhere near him. If I remember correctly from the books, Carlos wanted nothing from him, which seems like a sensible decision to me.

Summon just means, you catch their interest through a connection in silent knowledge.

I gotta say, until I found this forum, I had no idea the magnitude of how bad things got while Carlos was trying to teach in public; or after he passed, or how it continues to this day. If it wasn't so grotesque, it'd be comical. Well, I mean...it is comical, kind of, the absurdity of it. But the level of grift is so shameless...that part is pretty disturbing.
I had no idea the true state of it. The only "me-too" nagual I ever heard of before now is that Ken Littlefeather guy. Maybe on some TV show or other. But I didn't find him impressive, never followed up or bought whatever he was selling. That was a long time ago now.
Quite a sobering wake-up call, finding all this out.

Peter Luce is considered a "friend" of the community, because he put out a book pretending he had an understanding of Castaneda.
But he's a cheap party psychic who does card tricks, and speculates on things he knows nothing about.
He once wrote about how he experimented with moving his assemblage point, as if it were a control he could dominate and move.
Cleargreen even seems to consider him a friend, when in fact the result of reading his books is to not be motivated to do any actual work.
Luce called the last books of Carlos, "nostalgic" as if he were getting senile and remembering his glory days.
He's clueless.
As for Ken, I wish I could verify if the witches rescued Kylie from him.
It's also said to be the reason Kylie went with the witches when they ditched this circus.
Ken actually invaded a workshop to steal customers back in the beginning of workshops, and had to be chased away.

I was watching Tensegrity ripple back to the old seers last night.
Because emanations "reaskim", if you can find even a tiny thread, perhaps just 16 fibers linked together into a group that is part of what the old seers assembled, your awareness can follow it back to some aspect of them.
Assembling tiny pieces of their world along the way.

And why Carlos said he was in fear of being swallowed up by the old seer's intent. He could visibly see it.

So I googled, just out of curiosity, and found this Luce guy's Amazon sales page.
It seems that this one book is the only book he's ever written, at least, under the name Peter Luce.
I read the foreword of this book via the "Look Inside" thingie on Amazon. And it's just as bad as you suggest.
Leaving aside the content, you can see right away that his authority or "credentials" to be writing such a book in the first place are nonexistent.
Unless, of course, you count 1) having read Carlos' books and 2) having what Luce absurdly calls a "close encounter" with Carlos, in which someone tells Luce that Carlos was apparently wrapping up a talk at a nearby building...a talk which Luce didn't attend in the first place, nor did he bother to even attempt to meet Carlos while he had the chance.
Cringe! Cringe AF. And he himself writes this in the front matter of his book for all to see, as if it's just fine. As if it means anything.
And he's pimping this book in two different formats and in six different languages. Gotta maximize those profits!
But it's not just the grift for money. If that's all it was, it wouldn't matter so much.
But it's really a lot worse.
You are right in your assertions in your posts throughout this sub that the true problem with all the BS around Carlos is that it's turning people away from their cubic centimeter of chance.
People don't understand that they are 100% responsible for their own evolution, whether they know it or not. No one tells us this. We get every class of bullshit and fairy tales instead of being taught from birth what we really need to know.
That's the real horror of it, that's the true desperation of the situation we're in, isn't it?
We're supposed to know and be dealing with it but we don't have a clue. Most of us live and die without a clue.
Thus we have to rely on sheer numbers if we hope to succeed in turning the tide against fake magic.
Find the unhappy people who are willing to work their way out of this mess and can't satisfy themselves through pretending.
