"Inside the lab, anyone who approached the device felt an unexplainable sense of dread. It took a while to persuade anyone to try it.
When the first subject finally sat in the chair, a flash of energy erupted that stunned everyone in the lab.
The device worked.
But it maybe worked a little too well.
Not only did it boost people’s psychic abilities, it also enabled them to view any place in the world. And soon, they could view any place in time..."
People also saw symbols etc. (and much more!), with open eyes, and felt the same type of fear response that new darkroomers do, for the first hour they were in the closet-like space (the fear was replaced by calm), along with odd physical sensations of the type darkroomers also report.

Also interactive time travel apparently. That was a pretty sick why files.
Might consider it a more technical version/design of a recapitulation crate? Part of the transcript:
4:53
Dr. Kaznachive the scientists in charge of the experiment told him this was common and that if he could push through it he
5:00
would be okay there were a lot of volunteers taking place in the study in multiple sites in Russia they
5:05
communicated freely and openly and they all had similar experiences after an hour the nausea started to ease his
5:12
dizziness became something that felt like floating and the feeling of overwhelming fear became a feeling of
5:18
overwhelming calm his warped reflection in the shiny concave wall started to
5:23
fade though that wasn't the right word and he realized the wall was translucent he could see through it but this
5:30
aluminum chamber was in a small concrete lab in a remote Village in the Arctic Circle but that's not what he saw
5:35
through the wall whatever it was that he was seeing it was a sunny day he could hear birds and children playing the more
5:43
he relaxed the more Vivid this Vision or experience or whatever this was became
5:48
then without any effort at all he was through the chamber wall and into the vision it was like he was there it felt
5:55
real and even though he knew this was impossible his instincts told him he was there next he found himself floating
6:03
behind a child maybe five or six years old he got closer and saw this was a boy
6:08
walking on a sidewalk somewhere the man tried to look around to get a sense of where he was but he couldn't tell it was
6:14
like the edges of his vision were smeared but the boy the boy was in Focus then the boy stopped the man floated
6:22
closer and recognized the boy's shoes and he felt a wave of nostalgia the boy's clothes too were familiar the boy
6:29
turned around and the man felt electricity surged down his spine the boy was him at five years old the
6:36
surroundings now came into Focus he was a few blocks away from his childhood home the sounds became clearer he could
6:43
hear distant traffic that he knew was from a busy intersection a half mile away the sound of children playing was
6:49
coming from a park nearby he turned and saw the park and familiar faces playing
6:54
without realizing it his small aluminum chamber faded away though he still had a
6:59
sense that he was connected to it somehow somewhere and after a few seconds of contemplating this experience
7:05
the man realized that the boys seemed to be watching him but that wouldn't make sense the day the man stepped into was
7:12
30 years ago but then the boy said who are you whoa in an instant the man snapped back to
7:18
the present day the portal closed and the vision ended...
Its fuckin wild, makes me wonder if some of my sleep paralysis experiences were just me taking energy back and i haven't done it yet. But that implies a causal loop i cant conceptualize.
So this device was/is able to move the assemblage point and maintain that position for at least 2 hours ?
And to do so, the device was capable of silencing the internal dialog of the participants?
The only known way to do what is described , is a movement of the assemblage point to a level or realm that these events do occur?
Thats how i see it, but , i am at beginner level , and trying to grasp the overall picture in the way i am able currently.
Yep!
I'd add that the situation itself likely gave the participants something else to focus on other than their inner monologue....allowing/facilitating the second attention to seep in.
Because their double was interested in what was going on in that room; and then what they were perceiving allowed them to maintain attention.
And if there were enough participants it would have set a specific intent, a direction, for the use (and outcome) of such a structure as the Kazyrev Mirror in the future.
Hopefully an intent that was pure, and saturated with genuine curiosity and a spirit of exploration ☑️ (even better if a few genius types cobbled together something similar in the past) untainted by religion.
We can do that.
I do.
Cholita too, unfortunately for me. I tried to sneak home just now, to fix something in the yard.
Believing there was no way she could detect me.
She walked right out just as I was finishing fixing it, suspicious as usual. Thinks I'm surrounding her with spells. And there I was, painting symbols around the house...
But the cool part is how she just knew I had come home, when what I was doing was hidden from any windows in the house.
Anyway, the hard part about remote viewing anywhere in time an space is selecting where and when.
That is, once you can reach silent knowledge where this sort of thing is natural.
There's likely 1 trillion to the trillionth power places in time and space you can view.
Seeing as how you can also view through anyone's eyes, who ever lived.
Maybe even ever will live. We don't know the extent to which you can look at future events yet.
But it's more likely Cholita realized I was coming before the fact, than that she caught me in 20 seconds of my arrival.
Someone had scratched the spray painted stencil number for our house address, on the edge of the sidewalk. Maybe a hubcap scraped it off.
So we kept getting Walmart deliveries for the neighbor, who is #5.
We're #6.
The part at the bottom left was scratched off, and I only needed a few seconds to spray paint it back.
I can imagine Cholita's thinking.
I'm fixing the house number???
For what?!
But she's been hiding out since her "friend" had a talk with me about overusing the allies, visiting with Cholita at her side, from the deep second attention.
So maybe Cholita will stop hiding out to keep a closer eye on me when I get home.
Want to make it clear that this should NOT be taken as another reason to delay, in the vein of "I'll start next week when my vitamin pills come in!"
But if someone has the space (or a spare room) to make a recapitulation crate, why not make it a Kazyrev Mirror...
One could also likely figure out how to put some sort of locking door on it (or the room itself), so that one of the best aspects of a standard wooden recapitulation crate could still be benefited from.
We do need anything at all that can make this easier.
But don't forget that entire villages of young women were accused of witchcraft, because a few of them ate spoiled rye grain, and had visions.
It carried to the entire "potential witch" population.
Even the ones who had no spoiled rye grain.
(a precursor to LSD as I recall).
ChatGPT disagrees with my memory of the account of this event:
***
The event you are referring to is known as the Salem witch trials, but it was not caused by spoiled rye grain. The Salem witch trials occurred in Salem, Massachusetts, between February 1692 and May 1693. The crisis began when a group of young girls claimed to be afflicted by mysterious illnesses and attributed their symptoms to witchcraft. This led to a series of accusations and trials that resulted in the execution of 20 people, mostly women, who were convicted of practicing witchcraft.
The theory you mentioned, involving spoiled rye grain, is known as the ergotism hypothesis. Ergotism is a condition caused by consuming grain infected with the fungus Claviceps purpurea, which produces alkaloids, including ergotamine. In some cases, ergotism can lead to hallucinations, convulsions, and other symptoms that may have been attributed to witchcraft during the time of the Salem witch trials.
However, it is important to note that the ergotism hypothesis is just one of several theories proposed to explain the behavior and symptoms observed during the Salem witch trials. Other factors, such as religious tensions, social dynamics, and political influences, likely played significant roles in the events that unfolded.

ChatGPT also doesn't much like McKenna's "stoned ape theory".
It says that apes ate magic mushrooms, got "weird ideas", and made better weapons.
Which became a selector for who got to pass on their genes.
Which lead to us having relatively high intelligence compared to the apes before us.
Odd it had the opposite effect on McKenna.

Interesting about the obsidian mirror...
the latter design looks like a sensory deprivation chamber. could that help fostering inner silence?
Darkroom is essential just that. But with sight only. Need to be able to move around, at least a bit, to do Tensegrity movements though. Would be harder in a floatation tank (though Running Man and a some of the various hand /arm movements might be possible.)
i love the Why Files, did a good bit on gateway as well which.....well y'all know. The torsion/mirror thing intrigues me. In a mental masturbation way of course....also, Dan you cool?
Disregard that of course your fine I just wonder sometimes if this has all been a little much on you. Regards Respect and Thanks for all you do, don't mind me
Deployable and pragmatic options, if one has the means and opportunity, that are untainted by association with religion, are rather hard to come by.
And anything that draws energy away from the neurotic meanderings of the inner monologue, and into the direct experience of the universe at large, is worthwhile (and that interests our double).
BTW, the fear people experience around this "mirror" design is the Tonal reacting to conceding to the directives of the double (of losing control/preeminence), the other, our marooned awareness...the UNKNOWN. Whatever isn't "on the table" (ie. the Nagual).
Same as in fear of what's in the dark.

Sounds just like what we do in DR lol. Even that guys reported experience of seeing through the walls of the chamber to a time when he was a kid most def sounds like double behavior
