i tried to simplify my silence practice, so i decided for now i will only focus on not having visual thoughts. and it's surprisingly a lot easier and does something!
in external situations it is also true , if you don't want to see an image, just turning head around or closing eyes will do , but good luck avoiding a sound , even if you plug your ears you will still hear a bit.
if you stop thinking verbally, your mind can still continue creating bizarre and sticky concepts and scenarios using visualisation , because images can carry a lot of data and concepts and they can easily occupy your whole awareness.
but with no images , and only using text , it cannot go that far . and if you stop visual thoughts , textual thoughts will also decrease by at least 40 percent . and part of your awareness becomes free even if you are a beginner.
so give it a try !

Does this approach work for having some minor results in Darkroom practice?
It sounds to me like a step for understanding how silence works though.
There is a reason silence is the major component for success.
In our humanly self we are ALL the time occupied with internal voice: thoughts, emotions, self talk, fantasies ect. This goes quite deep into the unconscious parts of ourselves actually.
Just like that we keep ourselves binded into the blue line reality.
So " forcing silence" actually means taking off the focus from the occupation with the matters of ourselves. We break it down saying to not having thoughts/ fantasies ect.
That's how we gain some power to move within the J curve.
That's why the various silence techniques are working like the silence stones. The attention is focusing somewhere an not into the matters of the mind. They are a good begginers tools for silence.
You can do the same with tensegrity in Darkroom.
Focusing on the movement of your body, the muscles, the sencetions, the strength, the movemnt and not your internal dialogue. From all the practices available you judge your silence levels from the results you get.
Hey man.
I had to delete your post because it was going to confuse beginners.
Your emphasis in focusing on text instead of images is not an accurate instruction for new people, and will make them pretend.
Keep in mind we focus on visible magic for a reason, wich is that it's the only way to be honest with yourself with silence.
I know you've been in here for a while. Just be careful with your advice.
Make sure it was useful to do what it's shown in the J Curve, or instead use the Students Chat to share it.
sorry thanks
thanks 👍
