Hi everyone, this Is my first post in this sub. It's about 5 years that I have random moments of total clarity. The first time happened like this: I was at work, just arrived, I was alone, I took a glass full of strawberry slush and went outside. I opened the door and (there's no other way to describe It) I was there. I was one with everything around, immersed in the world.
In those fast moments I realized that the world wasn't like I was perciving It. I felt like I was seeing the world and not just looking at it.
Now I feel a veil in front of me, like I'm inside a bubble but sometimes It pops and I see like I was doing in my childhood. I became aware of Castaneda after the first time and I was looking into his books for an answer that I didn't find (I read just 4 of his books maybe that's why).
What Is it? I want to keep that state, It feels so real. How do I train for this? Too many questions...

The title Is wrong I'm sorry
Read the rest of the books. Check out the vast collection of info already compiled in the wiki section about this subreddit community.
Learn and practice tensegrity, along with the recapitulation, and dark room gazing practice. Accruing internal silence is the 🔑 that will open doors.
Also cultivate sobriety. No drugs or other substance abuse. We know that does help with these practices. There are no shortcuts.
Would sobriety entail no sugar? Caffeine?
Whatever works!
Can you get fucked up on caffeine or sugar? I mean can you get high as a lord?
I make a banana milkshake that sure feels like it
Absolutely not!
If you start denying yourself things, you'll just turn into "Annoying Yoga Man" who washes his nose out with salt water 3 times a day and makes a big fuss doing pranayama, so his friends know he's an important Yogi man.
If a "system" advises you to give up things, it's a fraud.
They're handing out placebos so they can keep stealing from you.
Get real magic first!
Later on, when you're trying to do the absolute impossible on a daily basis, you can look at whether sugar or caffeine have negative effects.
But until you reach the purple zone on that J curve, they have absolutely none.
Other than to let you practice longer each night.
Try keeping a StarBucks double espresso, the full sugar one, next to your nightstand.
If you just can't get up to practice, guzzle that down while you lay half asleep, and wait 20 minutes.
You'll get up to practice.
And God won't judge you for consuming stimulants.
Though cleargreen might.
Out of curiosity why is the self giving up something with caffeine and sugar but not drugs?
I'm not sure I understand the question.
But if you're asking about drugs then just know, everything in sorcery is practical, and based on actual observations you will make yourself.
There's no moral judgements, or dictims handed down from "the men of old".
It's all real and easy for you to verify yourself (if you work hard).
The first 3 books Carlos wrote were about the "Men of KNowledge" who NEEDED drugs to do anything cool.
Because Carlos needed an "informant" on the use of drugs, by native americans. To get his PhD. That was a "thing" in the early 60s.
My father was an anthropologist doing the same as Carlos, and at the first reservation Carlos visited looking for don Juan. Morongo.
So don Juan gave Carlos what he asked for in the form of the ULTIMATE lecture on the use of power plants in MesoAmerica.
While denying drugs to most others among his apprentices.
Taisha even tried to argue with don Juan, but he insisted she didn't need them.
The men of knowledge used them because they were businessmen.
Giving magic shows in exchange for goods and services (they had no money back then).
Learning to remove the internal dialogue wouldn't have helped the men of knowledge, because you can't demonstrate magic to people for money, if they have to work for years first.
They needed an "easy" magic show they could sell.
So they used a long ritual to invoke intent, drugs to move the assemblage point of their customers so that the Ally was visible, and an Ally who knew that specific ritual and what the result should be.
Such as the talking lizards or the moth dust mushroom people.
Those were surely our very own "Minx", who you might get to meet some day.
Carlos left his 2 allies to us. And the first time I saw Minx, he was a giant lizard running across my living room floor making horrible scratching noises with his claws.
Cholita the witch, another of the private class students of Carlos, was playing with it.
We CANNOT do any of those Man of Knowledge things now, because the rituals and the Allies are gone.
So anyone playing around with drugs thinking they're duplicating the early books is so hopeless they ought to just give up right now.
We certainly don't want them commenting or posting in here, until they figure out they were pretending all along and decide to get real instead.
But their reading comprehension is likely too low to succeed. Since the early books clearly said that the men of knowledge never learned to see. And that don Juan was only teaching Carlos about the men of knowledge, to show him that there wasn't only one way to view the world.
Unfortunately "first 3 books" drug users are often too lazy to read more of Carlos and the witch's books, so they don't self-correct.
As for the use of intoxicants, it depends on which ones.
Alcohol is fine, and won't even hurt reaching our ultimate goal of Silent Knowledge.
Except that it makes you tired, harms the body, and if you use too much you are less likely to work hard.
So it's overall a negative effect.
Just not one you have to give up, as long as you can go between drinks until you are sober for practice sessions.
Marijuana pushes the assemblage point just below the shoulder blades, or perhaps even to halfway down.
But it also PULLS it back up, if you should get good at your practices, and move the assemblage point all the way down the back.
It'll make the super amazing magic down there less vivid.
But can be overcome all the way to the other side of the body, where the assemblage point almost comes into alignment with that of our energy body.
There's where marijuana is very harmful, and will prevent reaching stable, sustained Silent Knowledge.
It's like someone took away your supernatural Netflix feed.
You won't like that, if you've gotten used to viewing infinity nightly.
Shrooms and such push your assemblage point all the way down the back, and likely to the far right most of the time.
But maybe to the far left in some situations.
It's fake magic of the kind that puts delusions of grandeur into the minds of drug users, and makes learning sorcery close to impossible.
And it never gets the assemblage point to move to the front of the body. It's utterly impossible on drugs.
So they get you less than halfway to where we need to go, hold you there, and create permanent damage if you keep that up.
I don't know about other drugs.
It's possible that Kratom is ok to use all the way long the J curve, except possibly if you want to sustain Silent Knowledge.
Which is called "seeing" in the earlier books.
The scope of this response has sated the curiosity, thanks
If you work to learn to produce visible magic, and you learn about other drugs and their effects, with which I'm not familiar, be sure to let us know.
We aren't exactly "against" drugs.
If there were one which could consistently help people reach the deep green zone, it would be beneficial to at least show people what they can learn to do, without the drugs.
But Marijuana for example, produces a different effect that if you manually move the assemblage point using darkroom techniques.
So you can smoke so much that you see hypnagogic images, but that's not a green zone affect you would normally see.
It's likely a far horizontal green zone assemblage point position.
Kind of like whatt meditation produces.
A delusional far left shift of the assemblage point, which leads only to egotism and delusion.
And marijuana doesn't even move it to "deep" green zone, so the hypnogogic images are rather ethereal, and not what you would normally see if your assemblage point moved down the middle by 4 inches.
So as it turns out, it doesn't help with darkroom.
I only mention Kratom leaves, because of the Thai Krasue.
Swamp spirits.
Obviously inorganic beings they've learned to perceive, possibly as a result of Kratom leaves.
Although, back in the 70s "Thai sticks" were considered very strong.
It's just that in Thailand, it's mostly old people who like marijuana.
-FYI
I've used kratom a good deal over 5 years or so for pain.
One major thing I have noticed is that my physical abilities to notice IOBs while awake and going about the day is reduced.
I recently stopped for other reasons and those abilities came right back.
Its a bit creepy that kratom may make Krasue visible.
I was looking into the past posts to see if someone else had my experience but the only think I saw Is that there's a lot of post about darkroom gazing. Usually I stay outside looking at things until the ground, grass, trees and walls, etc... Start to crumble in one color. There's something in this sub about daylight gazing?
Yes. You can do daylight gazing. For me it has been harder though.
I don't know what to do after everything crumbles, I move my sight and It almost got back to normal.
The objective Is the same in dark and light gazing?
Yes, the objective is to learn sorcery, and really no one can tell you how, beyond that we are striving for complete void/total freedom by forcing internal silence and doing tensegrity which carries the most intent to do so out of any other practice we are aware of. There is no guide book on what you should do when “everything crumbles” or magic words that will cause you to learn sorcery. You just need to force internal silence and forget everything I am saying now, everything you thought anyone knew, and anything you expect to happen because any of that can hinder your progress, and most importantly, I have no idea what I am talking about.
Ok so I have to let go my fear of the unknown. That's it
In my experience these are moments when the stream of internal thoughts stops. This frees a lot of brain capacity for other things, that's why looking around is like seeing the world anew.
That's what I thought, so I can reach that state during meditation
Yes, but technically speaking meditation isn't about stopping thoughts. It's about watching thoughts come up and disappear without getting involved, just being aware of them. But for me meditation is an essential practice to build up the concentration and awareness needed to stop my thoughts.
When I meditate I try to relax myself until it's like going to sleep, let my breath comes out of me slowly while feeling my body "melt", in that melting there are no thoughts and one time I was sky rocketed to what I felt to be the Everything, I was able to see everywhere without looking, an indefinite white space with some shade of pink and green that would whirpool around, I knew It was the whole experiencing itself. This happened in litterally two seconds before I was sent back to my body. It was amazing but scary at the same time. Now I know that we are all One.
Is my type of meditation stopping the thoughts or It was just a dream?
Nobody could say for sure except you 🤷
Dude read the sidebar. None of your questions is unanswered , this is the most difficult task you could take on as a human-being, we can’t help you. If you are not willing to put in the work and quiet yourself, this will be a waste of time.
Of course you can't help me, I just wanted to know if I'm on the right path and it's not my imagination.
I think you are on track :)
When you lose the need of wanting answers and transcend that, you get that beautiful peace again
