A Disney movie about war and scifi? How does that have anything to do with Carlos?

In th movie, "Virginia- John" is teleported to Mars ... (struggles to find out way back)
Learns of the actions and storyline of that time period
Focuses on saving a woman from that time period
"aliens" of that world send "Virginia" back to original life planet
"Virginia" hides in supposed burial where an alien from Mars focuses on finding "Virginia's" body
This leads to "Virginia" fighting the alien and stealing the power device
Teleport s
Looking forward to Mars in that time period
[This leading to Carlos,by bridging to the idea of "not being interested in the world of daily affairs" .
Is it viable then, to introduce concepts as such to the "average man" through independent films and video games ?
So many of the visual elements in this subreddit can be expanded further in "physical" reach through an interactive 3d model playable in consoles or virtual reality-based technology.

I'm surprised you didn't include this quote from the movie:
"My name is Matai Shang, and I do not exist. Indeed, I work very hard at it." where Matai Shang changes from male to female.
It is probably not a good fit for this subreddit though.
There is precedence. Carlos, Florinda, and Taisha avidly attended movie theatres showings.
A sorcerer who has spent years of effort turning away from the internal dialogue, at de-energizing it, has a non-standard relationship to fantasy and imagination.

Is this why sobriety is important? For example, I get "lost" in Jujutsu Kaisen (a story where sorcerers who have learned how to control their negative emotions fight curses formed from the negative emotions of all humanity).

Storytelling doesn't need to involve fabrication or invention! In it's purest form it's about the most efficient (impeccable!) way to relate a narrative while holding true to it's core intent.
Sobriety is resisting the impulse to add more and more elements that derive only from one's internal/personal detritus. To cloud things over, or go off on a long tangent.
Getting "lost in it" is mostly a byproduct of turning attention away from broadcasting an internal monologue, or replacing it with the visualization etc. of whatever you're engaged with.
One possible idea that apprentices of don Juan had, the ones who moved to Los Angeles and kept themselves separate from Carlos, was to take lineage money and use it to influence the media.
I'm constantly amazed at the analogies to our magic, which show up in film.
It's possible that those apprentices succeeded, and increased the effectiveness of the books of Carlos, stearing movie magic away from crappy asian delusions, and more towards the south american variety, which can be real.
