Castaneda studied Choy Li Fut martials arts forms with instructor Howard Y. Lee, to whom he wrote a dedication to in the prologue of his book The Fire From Within.
He utilized that instruction to compile the individual sorcery movements he was taught by Don Juan's group, into longer forms that would be better at silencing a practitioner's and internal dialogue.
To better understand how to craft flowing transitions between those individual movements.
