From all the books and readings on my journey towards truth, I had always related the most with Don Juan. I’ve travelled far and wide to meet Yogis and Shamans and practice and learn. I have ease with power plants and have done a lot of work with them and they have helped me tremendously.
I am not satisfied and still feel I have been lazy. I had been caught in some loop of stagnation with tobacco and cannabis. I have broken free and am now rediscovering my dreams and abilities as I previously had. I want to learn directly from a teacher of this lineage . If no teacher appears I will continue to practice dark room gazing and read all the scattered information on this subreddit and try to make sense of it.
As someone who just discovered this subreddit the information overwhelm and lack of clarity is huge. I am reaching out to have direct contact to a teacher. I am ready.

There are no teachers here… no one wants your money. Do the hard work. There are no shortage here no benefactors.
So go on practicing the dark room gazing, execute the passes, recapitulate, etc.
Will do. I do believe that the post of me reaching out will be successful. By putting the intention out a teacher may reach out whether on here or in my dreams.
I found a teacher in an IOB through the Darkroom. I don't know why more people have not reported being able to communicate with the beings that they see in the Darkroom. I think it may have to do with sensitivity and ingrained doubt. Maybe it's because I am a woman. Or maybe because I was contacted by an IOB when I was much younger. I don't know. To me, the IOBs are the proof. And they can help you a lot.
When I started seeing an IOB I was skeptical, so I asked its name. It told me a name that was so clever that I could tell there was vast intelligence and it was not a figment of my imagination. I approached the Darkroom like a scientist, and all of my doubts were dispelled.
I also found that IOB's are very different from humans, can play jokes on us or try to trick us, and are sometimes not as the seem. But there is absolutely no more doubt once you make contact that what is written here is absolutely true.
Recapitulation is intense, it's like looking into the core of creation of self! Highly recommend!

Did you actually read all the books? The overwhelming information on this sub makes a lot more sense if you read the books carefully in their entirety.
I forget which book Don Juan said this (I’m currently at The Art of Dreaming), but you do not need a teacher to access the unknown and the unknowable.

If you are sincere about doing these practices you'll get rewards from Intent. Knowing you heading in the right direction. That will be your new 'teacher' leading.
There are no teachers in this. Indeed the information is overwhelming and yet it will take you real actual time to get a grasp at all this. It's really needed to self study to understand what's happening here.
For starters start understanding the consepts in this slide show and implement them. Once you start to progress things will make much more sense.

Some people who have difficulty with the sheer volume of information in the books, swear by this resource, as a means of making things more comprehensible. The creator of it just uses material from the texts, but organizes it in a manner more akin to a flow chart:

I like that guy. I tried writing to him, to inform him all of the magic works now. But I didn't get any response.
He might be up to his ears in bad players trying to contact him.
I fear that's one of the reasons subreddits like the "lucid dream" group despise anything about Castaneda. Because the same bad guys who attack here, go over there to try to promote themselves.
That, and the fact that some of lucid dreamers are long time detractors of Carlos, which includes some former followers who decided to cash in by "exposing" him.
Still, you'd think the lucid dreaming folks would be super excited to read about waking dreaming.
But they aren't. They'll delete it as soon as they notice it.
