Someone who realized the truth about that place
The enlightenment subreddit is full of "I'm enlightened. Ask me questions." type of posts. Just see the comments to realize how lost they are, and the high amount of pretenders that stink that place.
That was practically the situation of the entire Castaneda community before this subreddit brought the J Curve and all the visible magic.
Even though this knowledge is spreading rapidly, this place still does not reach all corners of the Castaneda crowd.
Like the followers of that misleading Instagram page from Iran. We can’t even fight them due to a big language and cultural problem.
But unlike some years ago, anyone who now seriously searches in the web can find the answer to “Is anyone actually making Carlos Castaneda sorcery work?”.
Before, every interpretation was fine and deserved respect as a valid way of approaching don Juan teachings.
It sounds correct and moral, but it is not if you consider sorcery is a very specific thing, with specific results and indicators.
Then you realize our public is also full of bad people willing to pretend to get benefits.
We have been recently approached by a Castaneda influencer who dominates a big part of the spanish speaker community.
A direct disciple from Miles, who recognized him as “an Impeccable man”. Even though that’s just a common saying between those guys, according to a witch from this subreddit who knows both of them.
He got amazed by our drawings some years ago, and thought it was a good idea to ally with us. As a business.
He wanted to promote his web page and social media in here, and showed himself willing to accept Darkroom as a valid way of sorcery.
But we couldn’t accept such offer. He is completly dishonest about his own results, and about the situation of the Castaneda community.
It’s the same thing like in those Enlightenment posts, where people comment misleading advice such as “Everyone is enlightened. They just have to realize it”.
He just claimed “Intent speaks to me. I know I’m in the path”. And then explained how he mixed sorcery with other philosophies.
That could made sense some years ago. But not anymore.
We are changing the way the entire community measures the functioning of sorcery.
And anyone who opposes it for their own interests should be considered an enemy of the community.
I suspect that over time even people who do business will have to adapt to this if they want their project to prosper.

It seems like a lot of time and energy here is spent ripping apart others, with 0 attempts at understanding or even considering that results could occur with a different mix of knowing and doing. Let's face it EVERYTHING we all do (even you all) is based on the writings first, then the practice. Carlos wrote the books first, then you all started practicing and forming ideas in your egoic identities about what works, what doesn't etc. The bottom line is that everyone has to START somewhere, and usually, that's by acquiring knowledge first.
How many of you here shot out of the womb DOING Tensegrity?? NONE. I understand and respect the dedication, results, and instructions that you all have curated and achieved. But I don't understand the amount of energy ridiculing, claiming fakery, and putting down anyone and everybody who asks questions as a way to ENTER and start practicing. You're implying there's only ONE way in an infinite universe to achieve what you "do." I think the biggest enemy to this community seems to be within itself, putting the methodologies and characters practicing on pedestals and plugging your ears and eyes, blocking any chance of commonality between practices and leaving open the chance for even more discovery.
BUT, I will be persecuted and torched for even SUGGESTING this here... and I may delete this, because it seems like chatting or talking or discussing is seen as 'mental masturbation', UNLESS one of the core leaders here seems it's OK for themselves to babble on and bash others, talk about silly little anecdotes about "legends", all to stir up a culty feeling of belonging. That's my take here, though I cannot deny that there are good, pragmatic practices to try... so, like I said, it's appreciated for those who can ignore the venom inherent to the 'outside.'
Consciousness (The Eagle), Source, etc.. is all of us. So, I'm saying this as much to myself as anyone. I'm sure I'm merely projecting what I see in myself onto y'all. Enjoy!!
In some ways that subreddit is unique because they realize it's bullshit, but they still pretend it anyway.
So you can post Castaneda stuff over there, even calling Buddhism "A Chinese Crime Syndicate" and no one gets angry.
But still they make up stuff about being "enlightened".
Maybe it's partly a "halfway house" for recovering victims of Asian crap-magic?
If that's true, what else is out there that we never noticed?
Maybe the knitting subreddit is a way for recovering satanists to soothe themselves?

I think you hitted the jackpot with the "Recovery" thing.
It's been a good place for observing all the bad behaviour without any moderation.
It sorts of balance itself, since no one gives so much attention to the pretenders.
Unlike Sadhguru, who has a crowd around each time he farts.
So it ends up being a space for small tantrums with no much rewards for them.
In our point of view it's pointless. We need efficiency that makes our work worthwhile.
But they just want a place where they can enjoy a free cookie and take a sit for a minute. To recover a little!
I just added a note to my Fraud Guru animation folder, to show he has magic farts and his followers inhale them to get high.
Maybe he fills his butthole with that colorful chalk powder people toss into the air during "the Festival of Colors", one of their favorite holidays?

Pardon if this is taboo. But is there any approach to this using sensitive instruments to measure any physical phenomenon like sound, pressure, electromagnetism surrounding any sorcery?
It's pointless. Sorcery is based on an alternative way of using awareness, called the "Second Attention".
Wich is not related with our physical world in the way your measuring implies.
Not that you can't get proof, or influence the physics.
There is definitely an approach in my opinion, but the primary problem still remains: ego or self importance as Don Juan emphasized (I prefer the latter as the former has lost its meaning).
As someone who loves the sciences a lot, I still recognize that science is not immune to self importance: funding bias, the need for accolades, politics, etc. have all derailed the scientific method and sabotaged a lot of progress.
Self importance has “permanently” fixed the perception of science so much so that it does not allow for any evidence nor viewpoints that go against the established status quo.
Ironically, sorcery astonishingly adheres to the principles of the scientific method to the highest degree of precision. Sorcery engages the those principles a lot more faithfully than the actual science practice itself.
The current state of science is unable to aptly describe the workings of the universe, spacetime is breaking down, and biologically it's been postulated that the world we see is not the world that is really there, the vision we see is just a biological adaptation. All this is not a total loss, it just means that we're beginning to understand that we do not know as much as we thought we did. Scientists are a stubborn and persistent bunch. It's unclear why they keep on seeking to unravel these mysteries, and it won't be too long before they unravel the physics of magic. And why wouldn't they, do Men of Knowledge not adhere to the groundings of physics? If this day ever comes, it is unclear the exact implications of what would happen. The amount of personal energy that is desperatly needed to save up to stop the world and to see, imagine if we could measure this. Imagine if we could go further and with a serious a precisely created waves/vibrations/fields we could somehow increase our own personal energy or increase that of others. This would be akin of finding out how to increase one's muscle mass with the effort of working out through the advent of science. If these things are possible, the future will definitely be interesting.
scientists will never unravel this and will never acknowledge magic because they are part of the matrix system, which is to keep us from discovering that we can access magic and sorcery. The controllers of this world, know that the world is a biological simulation and they want to keep us there, so any chance of helpful or practical knowledge around magic and us being empowered, will always be shut down.
the most "spiritual", connected and peaceful i've felt was in practising buddhism. i was never close to enlightenment whatever that is but i did make myself feel better. it does help alleviate your suffering to some degree, which really is the Buddha's goal. not sorcery. he even discouraged that. the end of eastern philosophy is to extinguish the flame of your lifem eternally. eternal peace. eternal non-suffering. i think it just might achieve that but that isn't really what i want. i want the opposite.

You need to see visible magic.
Otherwise you are just pretending something is going on.
You would take any unusual event and fantasize about it as "my magical story between the universe and me".
Omens do in fact exist, and real magic is crazy.
