did those witches (Florinda, Taisha, etc.) Carlos discusses actually meet Don Juan themselves?

as i understand, Carlos and the witches were meant to carry on DJ's magical lineage and that is how tensegrity and cleargreen etc. came about.

did they actually meet DJ personally or did the only know Carlos?

i haven't read their books but will get to them.

It seems like you are missing parts. Did you read all the books? You can find all the books in the wiki of this subreddit, if you read them all you didn't understand, they were meant to end the lineage, but they ended it in style.

The witches knew him, DJ taught them apart from Carlos, you can read Florinda or Taisha's books where they tell their personal experience with DJ and the world of sorcerers

i didn't read them all although i intend to. i'm now working through bits and pieces online but that focuses on mostly the practical stuff. i only read a few of Carlos' books. i guess i was just curious if DJ was a real person or an allegorical figure.

The stated purpose of this subreddit is to aid in restoring the reputation of Carlos Castaneda and the knowledge he imparted, by pragmatically applying that knowledge IN PRACTICE. This means that we are sticking to what really works, as proven by direct experience by long-practicing members.
No low effort posting, pretending, or wasting people's time.

Especially problematic posts, ex. questions that could be answered by either practicing or by reading more posts or from the books, will be removed and users who make similar repeated posts will be banned for a minimum of 3 months. Pretend sorcery which does not emphasize silence, and is based only on thinking and mood, will not be tolerated.
Self-centered promotion, jockeying for a "top-dog" position, & grandstanding are bannable behaviors.

Persons promoting behavior over effort to get silent and the necessity to move the assemblage point, and who won't give up that activity, are likely to be banned for a minimum of ONE YEAR.
