My dad got a strange visit last night- any idea what that was and what he should do?

Greetings,

I am fairly new to the scene. I have read some of Castanedas books, tried lucid dreaming for a while but did not get far. Anyway, this is not about me but about my dad. He had a very strange encounter last evening/night and he wrote it down immediately after it happened. I read it and had to think of inorganic beings in Castanedas works.

My father was completely sober, only slightly ill that evening. And it wasn't a dream either, because he turned the picture mentioned later around so he wouldn't have to look at it and it was still turned around this morning. He's also not someone who would make up stories like that. I spoke to him this morning and he was 100% sure things happenend like this.

Here is what he wrote:

I had a visit from a ghost family and a magical cat. It was already dark and only my desk light was on. I had the strong and unpleasant feeling all day that I was being watched. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that the face of a little boy seemed to emerge from the pile standing on my desk, but as soon as I looked, he was gone. I didn't think anything of it yet, and a short time later, the same thing happened on the other side with the girl. Next, the father appeared, sticking his head out of the bookshelf that was right next to my desk. It was only now that the real fright ran through me. But I only saw him out of the corner of my eye, because as soon as I turned towards him, he was gone, only to be there again as soon as I turned back to my work. This went on for minutes, almost ten, or so it seemed. I tried to get angry and punch him in the face, but of course he would dissolve as soon as I hit him. I had already felt a few shivers of fear, but now I was getting nervous and I got up and went into the bedroom. Now came the second real scare. In the bedroom, which was still dark and the door was open, there was a little boy standing in the doorway who immediately dissolved when I looked at him.

In the room directly opposite the door was a life-size pin-up, an oil painting I had done many years ago. The woman had transformed herself into this painting, following the contours of the pin-up in relief, and slowly morphed out of it, her eyes glowing in a terrifyingly demonic way. I shouted at them: “Do you like it here with me, yeah? Then they disappeared, but that energy they brought in stayed for quite a while until they were finally gone completely. I was pretty down with nerves and thought, Andreas, now you're having visions or hallucinations, now it's getting bad, because while they were in the apartment, I noticed that everything in my perception was moving.

Now you have to stay sane and learn to ward off things like that, it's only in your head. If you think it's real, then the road to the madhouse is paved.

I had just calmed down again when I felt a cat-sized creature scurrying around me in the dark. Here we go again, I thought. But the creature obviously wanted my attention, but didn't want to show itself. I tried with all my concentration to block out this apparition, and then something incredible happened. I felt a nudge on the back of my neck, a typical cat nudge. You can imagine my shock. It was real. I jumped up and ran after it, but could only see it as a shadow. It jumped into the bedroom, but I couldn't find it anywhere there.

The thing is, it would be completely impossible for a normal cat to get into my apartment, it's not possible. There's only one entrance on the third floor and it's closed. I was still thinking about the nudge when I felt a soft cat's tail on my bare foot. I jumped up again, caught a glimpse of it- quite a large animal with black fur and white speckles, and it meowed briefly and disappeared back into the darkness of my apartment behind a cupboard. Now I was no longer afraid and tried to get it to show itself. But it remained hidden, and after a short while I sensed that it had left the apartment just as mysteriously as it had come in.

That's exactly what happened two hours ago, and I was worried about how the night would go if this strange gathering decided not to leave and what they were up to.

I guess this spirit family sent the cat after me to confirm the reality of such beings because it could and should touch me.

And now an addendum: as I was about to go to bed, I saw a creature scurry past, ran after it and called out: Who are you, stop, come out! I went into the other room for a moment and the creature, which was definitely not human, made it past me again to the exit and threw the door into the lock with a loud crash. Now I was beginning to worry about what was going on here.

But there's another one: during the night I was woken up by a noise behind my neck, like someone clicking their tongue to the rhythm of my breathing, I looked around and saw a goblin-like creature sitting on the ladder to my loft bed, grinning at me, it seemed to me. Wait, I have something for you- because I had brought a flash light with me and I pointed it directly at it. The creature dropped down and disappeared silently.

*****

Thats his account

Now my questions:

Does any of this sound familiar?
Do you have any idea what these creatures are and what they are up to?
Is there a passage in the book that describes similar beings?
Is there a way to communicate with them?

Thx for your help!

He should tell them to take on more pleasant forms.

Lucid dreaming has nothing at all to do with Castaneda.

He, and the witches in his group, made fun of people who believe that. Carlos wouldn't even tolerate a full sentence which started with "I had this dream about..."

He cut it off instantly.

And people with that poor of an understanding about sorcery nearly destroyed our community with their pretending.

Your experiences are nothing new, we do that sort of thing nightly. I can't even begin to count how many entities and strange places I visited just last night.

And however all that happened with you and your father, in the case of someone who's been raised on the poor explanations of made up magical systems, which includes all religions, there's no way to figure out what you were looking at.

You've tainted it to turn it into what you expect.

And to create a self-flattering narrative around it so you could come here trolling for attention.

This isn't the place for that sort of thing.
