Is this my energy double?

I am just now starting on my journey by reading the works of Carlos Castaneda. As such, I am still learning about the different modes of perception. I’m wondering about one peculiarity about my perception.

When I close my eyes, I see vague, static-filled images. Really, I see these images in any blackness. It’s sort of like when I was young and would watch Cinemax, even though we didn’t pay for it. Since it was unpaid, it showed up as mostly static on the TV. If I unfocused my eyes a bit, I could somewhat resolve what I was seeing.

I started seeing these images after working through some of the Gateway tapes by Robert Monroe. What is this perception? And I seeing through the eyes of my energy double?

You are describing the vague stuff that is seen in the ordinary position of the assemblage point.

Take a look at the J Curve diagram. The purple zone is our destiny, where you can have direct access to the double.

And Robert Monroe is a pretender who designed a system that doesn't even work for himself. Forget about it if you hope to learn any sorcery.

Thanks for the reply! I think still I have a lot of learning to do. I’m working through Castaneda’s books one by one, and am in the middle of Teachings of Don Juan.

Thanks for the warning about Robert Monroe. I will focus my attention on sorcery as described by Castaneda and don Juan.

Possibly.

But it's way too soon to be speculating about things at your stage. That should come WAY later, it at all.

Some sorcerers simply care less about explanations than others; men of action types who are focused on doing, for example.

Thank you for your response. I do tend to get ahead of myself. Thanks for the advice. I guess I’m wondering if I should focus my attention on these closed-eye images, and if doing so will help me on my journey.

If they’re not a part of your internal dialogue, or the visualization component of it, then yes, don’t ignore them.

But don’t obsess over them, either.

It can be a tricky balancing act , sorcery!
