the morals of society

My question is about what is right and wrong, an example everyone talks bad about killing, killing is wrong, whoever kills is a monster, whoever kills will suffer the wrath of God, whoever kills will accumulate negative karma, but I observed something, we kill every day, we kill insects, we kill microorganisms , bacteria etc. And that's not saying that every day we eat meat, who had an animal being killed or even vegetables that also basically died lol My point is if we kill so much because we don't feel guilty about it, what is the difference between killing a fellow human and killing an insect, are our lives the same, insignificant compared to everything?
