In dreaming, I was inside a building, looking at my hands and then object back and forth. I then saw a "person" standing there looking at me. I asked, "Are you an IOB"? and the "person" replied "yes." I said, "then, turn into a cute dog. "It morphed into something that was only partially dog-like.
I then decided to step outside the building and found myself on the flat roof top. Again, I looked at my hands and back at the scenery, back at my hands and... another "person" with huge bulging eyes was standing to close for comfort.
So, I decided to stare into those bulging eyes, to see its energy. It started to get fuzzy and seemed about to change, but it didn't. I stared again, same thing. so I gave up.
I wanted to change locations, so I found myself outside of another building. I looked at my hands and the building's gray walls, back at my hands and the revolving doors, back at my hands and ...bulging eyes IOB again!
I told myself, "okay, time to wake up" and of course I was wide awake in bed again.
My plan is to completely ignore the IOB next time and be detached/at ease.
Even better, to see them instead in Darkroom.

Don't stare at the eyes. Stair at a minor detail, like a shirt button.
Keep staring until it finishes mutating, usually turning into a pile of old clothes on the ground (but typically not the ones it was wearing).
If instead it "opens up" and you see a light, stop staring.
You don't want to send an Ally away after you beat it in a dream.
Then is when to ask for a little dog form.
I see. Thank you very much for this clarity!!!!
Why we shouldn’t stare in th eyes?
I don't have a good answer for that. Try it both ways?
Naturally they don't have any eyes, that's just an "appearance stream" coming from them injecting their own awareness into our "back and forth flow" to the emanations, directed by where our assemblage point focuses most intensely.
My guess would be that the eyes are too "book deal minded" since humans can see a lot more in the eyes of other humans than you'd think they ought not to be able to see.
So that if you focus on they eyes, you give them too much "realness" and invoke things having nothing to do with their appearance.
But if you focus on a shirt button or other detail, you've already removed that "realness" you're projecting into them.
Also, an eye tends to be a specific thing we "know", whereas shirt buttons come in many forms, giving it more chances to change.
Once it mutates a bit, it causes a feedback and all of them begins to change.
You have to very rational to notice that however.
So you have a shirt button, and it mutates into a brass shirt button.
But brass shirt buttons belong on military type shirts.
So when the button changes, so does the shirt.
Unfortunately, most can't focus that clearly on the specific details in dreams.
Thus you might dream you are in your home, not realizing it's your home from 30 years ago and you don't live there anymore.
Is it okay if your own body mutates? I’m a woman and having lucid dream sometimes because of my dark room practice (I think, why else would I). I tried to look at my hands and my surroundings and back, then I tried to counting my fingers to concentrate better. My left hand was ok, my right hand started to have 8 fingers, then fingers became flexible as boiled pasta and I just stopped looking at it. It means I don’t have enough focus? But I remember that clearly well and I think I was focused enough…
Absolutely!
In fact, I suspect that we only have the image of "us" inside dreams, due to residual tonal awareness.
If all tonal rationality were absent, the dreamer might be just about anything.
You could be a butterfly in the dream.
Or just a viewer with no body.
The only thing that stops that, is some of your daily awareness going along into the dream.
Thus with womb dreaming we try to get as much of our daily awareness into the dream as possible, and prove it by finding our hands and looking from object to object a short time, and back to your hands between.
That amplifies what rationality we brought in and maybe lures more from out of our physical body, to join it.
On its own, the dreamer is nearly useless.
Don Juan commented that it gets absorbed in "the most asinine details".
Here's a theory: If we didn't take a birth in a physical body, we wouldn't have any reference for exploring infinity after we die.
>my right hand started to have 8 fingers,
That's typical! And just fine. It proves you have enough rationality to notice.
I just couldn't easily show that in the womb dreaming animation.
Maybe I'll have to tinker a bit with the Alternate timelines animation and add an extra finger when she looks at her hands.
Just wait until you can do dreaming awake, and notice you have 3 arms!
That's your dreamer "helping you out".
Pablito learned to do that on demand, as did Rosa as I recall, and they attacked Carlos with third "third hand".
How can you know the difference between IOB and dream character in a dream, when it's answer could be something your subconscious made up?
Have you ever voiced your intent to follow one to the world of inorganic beings ?
The OP is a woman and doesn't need to do that.
why do women not need to?
Why do women not need to? Because they don't.
I interrupted to remind him that I always had to wait for a scout to show up before I could manifest out loud my intent to go to the inorganic beings' world.
Don Juan chuckled and said, "You haven't dreamt with Carol Tiggs yet. You'll find out that it's a treat. Sorceresses don't need any props. They just go to that world whenever they want to; for them, there is a scout on permanent call."
I haven't yet been to the IOB's world. It will happen, eventually.
Omg 😳🥺😱
i saw one yesterday that came while i was trying to see. started off creepy until i told it to get a grip and show itself, then turned into an orb then a woman and told me some made up name. i was mostly annoyed though because i was watching a scene illuminated in waves like a flashlight running over it which hadn't occured before. idk why some like to scare and some benign.
