I am sharing this post as inspiration for new practitioners like myself. I have been practicing different forms of meditation for about one year now, until finding this subreddit through the shamanism sub about two weeks ago. since then I have stopped smoking weed as this discipline requires sobriety, it has been the only thing to give me the motivation to quit.
I have been reading through this subreddit and studying as much as I can, while also listening to Castaneda's audiobooks in my spare time or while at work.
I don't have a blackout mask and don't have the facilities to do darkroom tensegrity (at least I haven't found a practice for that I can consistently do) but I had been gazing daily for 20-30 mins a day, I had a couple of really cool experiences doing that, that I won't get into now, but my focus was to quiet my mind as much as possible doing that.
Then I came across Dan's chair silence technique in the chat and decided I'd give that a try. So I went to the creek, found my stones, and followed the instructions. When I got home later in the day I sat down for 20 minutes and did this technique and about 10 minutes in I started blanking out and going in and out of waking dreams that I can only remember the slightest of details about, I was also seeing hypnagogic images.
Until almost exactly like he described in the technique I blanked out and my head dropped forward, and as I caught myself I opened my eyes for a split second and shut them again. For a solid 10 seconds, it was like I could see through my eyelids, clear as day I was seeing a dream copy of my room.
I know it was a dream copy because I have two lamps in my room, a salt lamp on my bedside table and a pyramid lamp on the opposite side of my room on some shelves. I was looking at where the pyramid was but for some reason what I was seeing in my dream copy room was the salt lamp where the pyramid should be. I thought it was weird that they switched positions.
This stuff works and I have only just peeled back the surface of what's possible. it's by far the most potent form of "meditation" that I have done.

Awesome! It’s definitely real
It sounds like an afterimage.
I had strayed away from closed eye practice after finding this sub, but the technique Dan had described specifically said to have your eyes closed. And this after image was more vivid than any dream I’ve ever had apart from one lucid dream years ago. I would describe it as actually seeing through my eyelids but it wasn’t an after images because the image that I could see was not what I would have seen when I opened my eyes.
Fare. I assumed that since you opened your eyes you saw your room and then when you closed them you saw the afterimage of it.
The main way is a darkroom (dark mask) + tensegrity + silence of the internal dialogue. Don't be too surprised by the dreams that can come with your eyes closed. In a dark room, you must do this with your eyes open. You can do this in daylight, contemplating the sky or something else, but it is more difficult.
So if yo8u keep that up trying to be able to see the room with your eyes closed everyday, you'll reach the first "hurdle".
You can't repeat stuff!
I'd guess you can repeat around 1.5 times on average, meanign you do it once, but the second time is only half as food.
The problem is, you're EXPECTING IT.
We forget how all this sorcery nonsense works.
We're told to leave ou rfamily and friends (we don't have to do that anymore), erase personal history, using stalking to trick people so that they don't know anything real about you, and to recapitulate our entire lives, to get back all the energy stuck in past events, and to expel that stuck in us from other people.
And we're told that the "witching hour" around 3AM where most people are asleep in your local area, is the easiest time for seers to assemble other worlds.
What do all of those have in common with not being able to repeat stuff?
EVERYTHING!
It's all the same thing in the end.
Our reality streams to us from the dark sea, as a result of where your energy of awareness focuses.
So if you get a "cool" experience, the next day you're like your pet dog who got baloney the day before, and is hoping you're going to give it baloney today, instead of the usual crummy dog food.
We're even salivating at the idea of seeing the room with our eyes closed.
But don't worry.
If you practice DAILY, you'll "get over it". And forget, and then once you don't have all that drool dripping down your chin, you'll do it again.
It's a "process" where feedback from REAL magic, teaches you what keeps it from happening.
Eventually you'll be so good at seeing the room that you can stand up in the phantom copy.
Which just means, you entered a sleeping dream, but while awake.
Don't expect it to be your "real" room.
Mine had one of those wooden dime store Indian statues in it.
Yes I hadn’t thought of it like that, but that’s exactly how it’s been happening for me, after I get an experience it’s much harder for a few days because my internal dialogue is waiting for it to happen again. But I’m sure being conscious of this fact will help thank you.
Bottom line:
We are NOT "mindful".
That's an Asian meditation technique to keep followers quiet with some nonsense they can't see through for many years, so that they keep giving money to the leaders.
Instead, we're sleepwalkers!!!
And the closer your move your assemblage point to the side, the more "asleep" you are.
The more you move it in depth (along that J curve), the more your reality is transformed.
But not in your imagination.
It literally changes to a new one.
The old seers of the Olmec empire counted 600 worlds that are "energetic enough" (fully real) that you can go live there instead.
The number that are "phantom" is almost uncountable.
The phantom ones are what you'll get to see at first.
Although there are always "gifts" from infinity, which might allow you to visit a "real" one sooner than later.
Cholita (a witch trained by Carlos) literally split our home into 2 copies, with one of them phantom.
I was there when she did it, using "Minx", one of the Allies of Carlos.
Here's the kind of craziness that Minx gets into. I was working with a witch 6000 miles away, to see if we could travel through an energy tunnel I made.
She tried throwing a pen and notepad into the tunnel, to see if I got them on the other side.
But Minx stole them. I made a little cartoon.

I found the pen after a week, but Minx still has the notepad.
So Cholita split our home into 2, and the first thing I saw there was Minx, in his lizard form.
But I didn't realize what she'd done until the next day, when I casually opened the door leading out of the hallway into the living room, and found a giant lizard on the wooden floor.
That lizard shows up in the books of Carlos.
It took me a while to realize, that wasn't actually our "real" home.
Carlos had one of those at his home in Los Angeles, and one of the sorcerers from our lineage had an entire village at Tula.
Welcome and thank you for sharing your experience. It's wonderful that you took action right away by practicing one of the awesome techniques we have in this potent sorcery! Please, keep practicing.
Also, congrats on choosing sobriety!
When I used to do chair silence, eyes closed, I had several fun "seeing" experiences using my double's eyes. That's how we "see" with eyes closed...with our double's eyes, in the double's view of "reality."
And...what will really blow your mind is "seeing" with your eyes OPEN!!
You can keep doing chair silence., but with your eyes open...because you want to bring your double into this copy of reality.
You can use a blackout (sleeping) mask and keep your eyes open under it, as you force silence.
Tensegrity can be done in tiny spaces and also lying down. You just have to find the ones that fit your lifestyle, to begin.
The "running man" pass is done lying down. I totally heart "Affection for the Energy Body." and there are well over 200 passes to choose from.
Enjoy the ride!
