I came across his books and it seems he uses similar terminologies. He is current so I am wondering if he is the new Carlos Castaneda.

The search for freedom, freedom to perceive, without obsessions, all that's humanly possible. I say that present-day sorcerers seek the abstract because they seek freedom; they have no interest in concrete gains. There are no social functions for them, as there were for the sorcerers of the past. So you'll never catch them being the official seers or the sorcerers in residence.

The stated purpose of this subreddit is to aid in restoring the reputation of Carlos Castaneda and the knowledge he imparted, by pragmatically applying that knowledge IN PRACTICE. This means that we are sticking to what really works, as proven by direct experience by long-practicing members.
No low effort posting, pretending, or wasting people's time.

Especially problematic posts, ex. questions that could be answered by either practicing or by reading more posts or from the books, will be removed and users who make similar repeated posts will be banned for a minimum of 3 months. Pretend sorcery which does not emphasize silence, and is based only on thinking and mood, will not be tolerated.
Self-centered promotion, jockeying for a "top-dog" position, & grandstanding are bannable behaviors.

Persons promoting behavior over effort to get silent and the necessity to move the assemblage point, and who won't give up that activity, are likely to be banned for a minimum of ONE YEAR.
Those being overly disruptive will be temporarily or permanently banned, at the mods discretion.

This is a blanket rule, meant to give mods a more broadly applicable option for a ban or content removal. Banned users still have access to the subreddit, wiki, and all its resources (except the group chat).
