Maybe the Olmecs weren’t as “serious” as they look on the Olmec heads — you know that in Mexico we say “the lion isn’t as they paint it” — but anyway, let’s stop attacking the artists of the blue zone, who make a tremendous effort to “disguise themselves” to go buy the drugs they will use for the week.
I don’t know if the Olmecs were serious or playful, but it’s clear to me that their children and grandchildren, like the “Totonacs” and the “Huaxtecs”, were very given to “partying”, and that they loved riddles…
And then, maybe after this, more speakers of Indigenous languages and more Zen crazies will come to tell us their “koans”.
The problem with Zen riddles is that “they don’t have a rational answer”, meaning, they have a rational answer that the master knows and manages in order to keep charging the monthly fee, and as you answer you will feel that you descend along the J curve, when you are only ascending like a ball of snot ready to be expelled from this beautiful garden…
The ancient Mexicans also had riddles or “puzzles”, but they were so playful that they liked those riddles to have no answer at all, other than to shut up and practice Brujería.
For example: How to slow down a car when they let you ride as co-pilot?
The answer is: You already took too long to do Tensegrity and you keep putting excuses and complaints instead of getting to work in D.R. You are lazy and you will crash if you keep it up!
Some Olmec heads are smiling at you, and you won’t be able to return the smile until you learn something about “hats”…
