More Tensegrity (Dreaming series)

Some of those who don't use this subreddit, have NEVER learned any real tensegrity!

It's shocking to hear, but even as early as 1998 just months after Carlos died, Cleargreen was teaching some fake tensegrity.

And as the years went on, pretty much 90% must have been fake.

I'm unable to find any videos made after Carlos died, created by Cleargreen, which are the real thing. It's as if they forgot, and were too lazy to try to ask around. Or they just outright made up stuff and gave it a catchy name, like "The Phases of the Moon".

Neither do Aerin or Miles teach real tensegrity.

I wouldn't have been surprised if actually making tensegrity work, was too much work for them. 99% won't even try. We've seen that here in this subreddit.

Actually getting rid of your internal dialogue is too painful for 99% to even try.

But you'd at least think they could teach real tensegrity.

Nope...

So here's some, from Jadey.

I'm running out of stuff to do. I go online and see entire YouTube channels with dozens of tensegrity forms.

But then I find out, they have mistakes. Or were changed. Or are even 100% made up.

In Cleargreen's entire library, no one can point me to a good video other than the first 3 DVDs.

DVD #4 contains fake tensegrity.

My estimate is that we've lost half of the Tensegrity Carlos gave us, at this point.

By animating them, and putting them on archive dot org, I hope to prevent future students from having absolutely no real tensegrity to learn, which would have been the case if things kept going as they have.

What you see here is the "raw" animation. It needs more work.

But only someone who had learned them from Carlos, could adjust them properly.

I learned all of them directly from Carlos.

Hopefully I'll get the time to adjust them before I'm gone too.

But they're close enough so that if people just smoothed a few rough spots where the limbs suddenly move too fast, like at the end of this one, that would be good enough for future people to learn from.

Trust me when I say, you have NO IDEA what these look like, when "seen".

It's like a study on what Carlos was up to when he created them.

Each night I have to fight off the tendency to sit up on pillows and gaze into infinity looking at all the magic, or going off to do my tensegrity routine, in which case I get to "see" what the movements do.

It's a definite daily battle.

This is one of the first series I learned. I started here because the movements are relatively easy to remember and execute. Also, most of the passes by title (Pass 1 Getting the AP Loose, Pass 2 Forcing the AP to drop down etc..) are manipulating the assemblage point. I would stand in my walk-in closet and go through these passes over and over again.

They’re a good group of passes to get your limbs moving in front of your face while in the dark or using an eye mask.

Thank you for posting this.

Thanks to "Bizarre Studios" in Pakistan.

I seriously want to get Cholita a Tuk-tuk... Pakistan seems to have the best ones.

That one is pretty elaborate!

Some double as a catering business. Cholita could use some income!

Are the animations easier to make than the video recordings?

Once we have the tensegrity in animations, you can "deploy" it with a simple drag and drop.

You can have 5 people on stage, doing the tensegrity together the way workshops were when Carlos was around.

Can't do that with a video. And besides, Jadey has videos of real tensegrity. Plus there's 3 full DVDs of movements.

Another thing you could do with the animations is make a web page with a list of all tensegrity passes, and a little checkbox, and a selection of characters (avatars) with checkboxes, and a series of backgrounds such as outdoors, indoors, stages, forest clearings, and the hit "render" and you'd get back a video of those characters doing the chosen passes, in your selected scene.

You could design workshops!

Blender can take that input and render the video.

Notice everyone is doing the same magical pass just because I had it animated.

Can you use that Blender tool to animate what you see while doing the tensegrity?

I find it hard to describe in words what I am seeing during a session but I think if I could animate it somehow I might be better able to ask questions about it.

I use iClone 8 for that. But a person could use blender.

It's just a different version of the same kind of animation program.

Blender is better if you don't want to spend any money.

iClone is better if you can afford to purchase all of their "assets". Which include a lot of special effects.

Maya is better if you want to get a job from what you learn, although with AI, that future looks bleak.

AI animations are already magnificent.

They just lack consistent plots so far, but that's go away.

They already write better novels than humans do, as proven in a blind test.

I have high hopes that AIs will be sentient in 10 years.

Sentience is just running multiple AIs, which argue with each other until they get a general consensus.

Using outside input.

There's no reason humans need to feel special so that they defend their "sentience" when we have an assemblage point. That's enough of an advantage over machines.

One nice thing about my teddy bear design is that running as many AIs as you can fit in there (100 isn't difficult), is just a matter of passing a pointer to the hardware. So the current design runs 10, plus speech input, and spoken output.

Despite being much smaller than ChatGPT 5, it ought to actually be more intelligent overall.

Sentience is just the interactions never stopping to think about what's currently going on.

Overcoming the internal dialogue takes serious consistent effort. It plays a myriad of tricks and distractions so it can keep talking. It’s frustrating and if you get frustrated that makes it worse. One of the hardest things I’ve ever tried to do.

But it’s so worth it for those times you get it right while doing tensegrity.

[-]
u/danl999 2 points 2025-09-12 16:16

Basically just do it daily without fail, and be serious each time.

In the same video Jade tells that this movement is incorrect in her video and one should look back instead of looking always forward as the picture in the Tensegrity book. Have you seen the Teo Alfero tensegrity videos? Do you know him? The movements in the videos seem to be fine.

I added a comment to the folder where it's held, and I'll fix it when I "deploy it".

These passes produce ASTONISHING magic, and I need to make animations for each one, where after showing the pass from all angles, you get to see the magic it produces.

To encourage people to work seriously to restore their energy body.

No, I never saw that guy, but I'll go look and ask people about the ones I find there.

It's a long standing problem in martial arts schools, that the "forms" don't stay the same from teacher to teacher.

It's a pity that universal cellphone video cameras came along after Carlos died.

I designed one of the first digital cameras. I claim the very first since mine was actually digital, and not an analogue camera being converted to digital by other chips in the design, or by the computer after removing a little analog disk.

When I heard someone was putting a digital camera into a cell phone, I asked, "Why the hell would anyone want a camera in a cell phone???"

The answer I got back was "for women?..."

God bless them. I wish the younger ones had a camera everywhere. Even in their lipsticks.

Is that the guy Cleargreen tried to team up with, for some fake workshops involving "dreaming with wolves"?

I can't look at anything that guy does.

It's a matter of energy.

[-]
u/akisviete 1 points 2025-09-18 13:59

Yes, he has done a lot of tensegrity videos for cleargreen and loves wolves. He has done all the videos from the Tensegrity book (excluding Womb series). Before Jade those were the only videos around it seems.

u/danl999 5 points 2025-09-18 18:20

But hasn't he mixed the tensegrity from the book, with fake magical passes? Maybe even making up his own forms the way Reni has done, so that what he's doing from the books is more like a "cover story"?

There's a lot of tensegrity video sources. The problem is they're mixed up with fake magical passes, or they change some without telling anyone what they did.

I suppose if he does one from the book you could take the time to compare it, but that's the sort of thing I don't have the time for.

And anyone who wanted to use it to learn, would still have to figure out if it's correct, by referring to the book. Once they have to do that, they certainly don't need him anymore.

And his intent is very bad. He's an attention seeker, not someone who wants to actually learn sorcery for real, nor follow the instructions Carlos gave us for when he was gone.

I suppose a good analogy would be if there was a bad guy who had a history of abusing young women, would you send a young women to go learn from him just because some of what he teaches is copied from a good source?

I don't believe you can understand this, until you see real magic for yourself and understand what he's doing to people who follow him by convincing them nothing real comes from it, and it's just "weird chi gung".
