Second night in a dark room

Lurked here for a while, decided to give dark room practice it's due. Spent some years prior meditating, thus creating inner silence is not brand new. But the difference in technique between "magical silence" and meditation has been illuminating. My ability to stop thinking was limited (2-10 seconds at a time), even though I would remain, always, aware of the thinking (what meditation taught me).

First night, no puffs, but audible footsteps from the floor above (I was in the basement level, no one was home). Total time of practice maybe 45 minutes-1 hour (I didn't set a timer)

Second night (last night), I could perceive "drifts", or "changes", in the darkness. They were puff-life, but only a faint greyish hue, not vivid or purple, floating across the screen of consciousness. I could track them. They would appear and dissolve. Whenever thinking flooded me, I would lose sight of them. Don't know what they were but they kept me entertained, as long as I could see them. Fell asleep and woke up a couple times in the night. Practised silencing inner dialogue during each bout of waking. Total time of practice through the night, perhaps 1-2 hours.

It doesn't sound like you have given dark room practice it's due yet.

Darkroom is doing tensegrity in the dark while forcing silence and then learning to manipulate the puffs with eyes open.

I'd also suggest that, to give darkroom it's due, you should be prepared to cast aside your ideas about meditation as being important. If inner silence is not brand new, stuff like falling through a phantom world while remaining standing for 4 hours without falling over in the shower can be possible (it's happened to me).

Please don't decide that "inner silence is not brand new" based off of your meditation experience alone...

Sure, more like, in the process of giving it its due.

You say you have some experience in meditation. I was just wondering what technique you use to become silent? Do you use an “anchor” or point of focus like the breath or a mantra that you redirect your attention to when your internal dialogue starts up- as in traditional meditation practice? Or do you “force silence” as is recommended here?

The tensegrity itself is silencing, is what I've found. You don't really need any anchor or focus point.

I don’t use breath or mantra or any anchor but have done thought observation. Maybe the “anchor” would be the gaps between thoughts?

I just decided to stop thinking, if that makes sense? Only I seem to have to decide that every few seconds, for now. I don’t how to describe the process, other than making a decision with consciousness. But whether it’s forcing silence or meditation, it’s all a function of consciousness, of which the mechanics are inexplicable to begin with.

It's not across your "screen of consciousness"!!!!

That's a delusion you've picked up from meditation.

The puffs are portals to other worlds you can literally leap into, in your physical body, standing up, while doing Tensegrity.

Some tensegrity forms materialize them into a duplicate of yourself, which is so real it could hold a second job for you!

Cholita's double, which is also formed from the puffs, can be right there in view of my eyes, walking down the street headed to the neighbor's house, while I can look through my front door and see her physical copy chopping veges in the kitchen.

Most of the stories in the books where don Genaro is doing stuff with Carlos, was his "puffs".

Not the physical version.

I'm happy you decided to be serious for a day, but like most people who practiced meditation, you seem not to care if you actually understand what the technique is.

You believe you have some advantage, and can "quickly get this to work".

When in fact, meditation has likely poisoned you so that you'll never get it to work.

We've had meditation people come back after giving up, and admit they weren't actually practicing.

You NEED the tensegrity, because it frees your "double", the person who runs around in dreams, from fleeing you8r physical body, to hide out as far away from your horrible internal dialogue as possible.

think of it like a dog you've been beating its entire life, which ides out from you anywhere it can when you come home.

The Tensegrity is a nice juicy rib eye steak.

You lure the dog with the steak, and then start actually being in a good mood, so it's not afraid to come visit you even if you don't have the treat.

Here's the start of a cartoon I'm working on, for how to remote view on your bedspread, using a spirit helper. A fully visible spirit.

Open eyes!

I just barely had time to capture what the "puffs" look like when they decide you're not so bad, and start to flow around you on their own.

The black is the "puffs" of the spirit world.

Dark Energy.

When the two mix, you get SPECTACULAR

Sure, that all sounds like great fun. I’m starting the practice to verify the magic for myself rather than believe in concepts. Maybe expanded awareness will come with time, too.

I wouldn’t have mentioned meditation if I knew it was such a triggering word here. For me it’s just a point of reference. Screen of consciousness is just a way of putting it, not like a dogma. What is there outside of consciousness?

You're off to a very bad start...

We've seen 10,000 flow through here in the last 6 years, and our only goal is to get a very few successes.

None of us make money from this. And some of us work several hours a day trying to help preserve this form of magic.

So you have NEVER seen a place even a tiny bit like this, and it seems as if you don't understand what's going on at all.

I'd give you a 1 in 10,000 chance of ever actually learning.

Based on vast experience in here, daily.

Maybe you should go elsewhere and return to your pretend magic?

I'm not a mod however. Just a visitor like you.

Last time someone took my advice as a threat from a mod.

I couldn't ban someone even if I wanted to.

Usually it's me that gets banned from subreddits.

You want to know what's funny, my practice skyrocketed when I decided to stop doing tai chi and meditation. It's funny to me that you think it is triggering, rather than just simple advice :)

Re: "just a way of putting it"

"All intent works, but the wrong intent will be such a fractured (phantom room), you won't even be able to perceive it.

And mixing outside stuff is like mixing different jigsaw puzzles into a giant pile on the floor; really stupid, if you have any actual interest in putting together the puzzle.

Can't be undone, you just have to bulldoze the entire pile away and start over. Unfortunately, we're all bad players, and won't let go of the pieces we value. It's like finding a piece of the Buddha's ear on a jig saw puzzle. You're so excited, you run around showing your friends, you know what this pieces is! It's the Buddha's ear.

And you keep that in your pocket refusing to throw it out. When it's time to assemble a real jigsaw puzzle, like the Olmec scene, you keep trying to stuff the Buddhas ear into it.

That's all of us...

In fact, you can't clearly see phantom rooms or create them at will, because of all the pieces you have stuffed into your pockets, and refuse to let go. Silence lets you sneak out from the pieces you stuffed everywhere in your pockets (you have many), but only for a while."

The jigsaw analogy is brilliant

Will doing tensegrity help in seeing the energy or only in manipulating it after having gained the ability to see it?

[-]
u/danl999 6 points 2025-09-29 20:46

You'll only see the energy, when your energy body comes off the inside walls of your luminous shell.

All things a seer can easily see. It's not a theory in any way.

Just an observation of how human beings are designed.

I suppose there are multiple ways to lure your energy body to come nearer to you, like the blue you see in that picture.

When you have that, you can "see energy". But really, you're borrowing the eyes of your double (the guy who runs around in dreams).

Your double is ACTIVITY driven.

It runs around in dreams, lost in infinity, obsessing over the most pointless details you can imagine.

And always engaged in activity, unless it gets trapped by the spirit that controls your dreams.

We all have one of those.

Tensegrity is an activity it LOVES.

We don't know why, but you'll get to see it copying your movements, once you can get silent long enough to perceive people's "doubles".

But, Tensegrity ALSO manipulates that energy, to do AMAZING things.

Like shapeshifting, forming very real objects you can use (power objects), or even zombie assistants that will remain in your practice room for days.

So both are true.

If you prefer sitting with your eyes closed, which many do, you could try recapitulation.

That allows time travel into your own past.

For real! In your physical body (or so it seems at the time).

There's also "gazing".

And there's a "Chair silence" technique which allows remote viewing, but for real.

Not the pretend kind Monroe followers do.

You can actually travel using that form of remote viewing. You just view where you want, and then step out and onto the physical location.

That's covered in the "Simple Silence" post.

But I don't recommend anything but the tensegrity, done in darkness.

That was taught to us by "Little Smoke", the most kind spirit Carlos left to us, handed down in the lineages for perhaps thousands of years.

She's very old.

Here's how to make friends with her.

Probably not the best place to talk about meditation. It’s like the smell of blood for something in the dark. Just don’t get caught by people trying to tell you how you should do this or that, and if you haven’t done it their way then you’ve never done it or never will. The reality is that only a few have really been deep enough, and they will always say the path is always new - like a game without a name.

Of course, you can start with the standard practices that are offered, but dogmas have never been a good way to go. As a basis maybe, but after that they’ll just put you in a cage you built with your own hands. Like talking to allies and seeing puffs and then stopping there. There’s a different worlds much spoken about, but nothing really beyond that from "pros with regalia" - just CC quotes and vague interpretations.

So I wish you good luck, and may your intent unfold as it wishes, not as someone else tells you how far it can go.

When I’m forcing inner silence, I’ve found that random sounds I’ve never paid any attention too, jump out. I notice them more. I think it’s my internal dialogue grasping for attention and distraction. Also darkroom is a type of visual sensory deprivation, so our hearing gets better cause we’ve lost sight.
