Shark In The Darkroom

Here's a fun one that happened in late August.

After passes, while gazing, I heard a whooshing noise, and a large shark appeared in front of me and hung there for five seconds.

The still, 2D image I saw was more detailed than the AI generated picture in the post, but the presentation style accurately represents it.

This was a simple yet fun sight; the detail and clarity of the shark really stood out to me.

It is possible to ask intent what your totem animal is. I remember that I asked intent that, and got flashes of dozens of animals (all closely related) during chair silence within a span of seconds.

It is fun stuff :)

Nice, fun idea, I’ll try it.

I experienced something similar in the D.R. The succession of visions was like seeing the pages of a zoology book — a bestiary in which the animals that were somehow more related to me appeared clearer and more defined. I felt that some of them were really “pulling at me.”

Asking for stuff seems to produce good results. I always doubted it, until I had something specific I needed to find out.

Just make sure you only ask a tiny bit, and then drop it. And expect a long delay that makes you think it didn't work.

It's possible that's only because in order for it to work, you have to forget that you asked.

And that leaves "traces" which are just the right strength, to make it happen.

Of course, the classic story is Julian tossing don Juan to his death by drowning, in the raging river.

He gave the ultimate lesson on how to intend.

It wasn't like Julian had that kind of power, by himself.

And to be fair to Julian, he sent his double to protect don Juan along the way.

He just didn't bother to tell the other apprentices who were sure don Juan had been murdered by their teacher.

So probably because I was wondering by what my totem animal was was the reason it happened fast? I had been thinking about it a few days.

That kind of thing can't be described in rules that apply to everyone.

Unfortunately.

Worse, it's impossible to even describe what it's like to gaze into the Nagual, directly.

But I'm trying to animate it! In a video showing how to use an Ally, for remote viewing.

That might be possible. To "show" it rather than describe it.

Here's what I have so far, but it'll need another 10 special effects.

I'm arguing with the AI about which ones I can modify to add more effects.

So just lucky I suppose!

Maybe it was luck. Maybe letting it spin for a few days. Maybe a "free sample" from an IOB. Maybe “intending” with the help of the ally and/or the double. I think what’s important is that if you work like a dog, without obsessing over the result, but instead looking for “viable paths,” maybe you can find them — at least for yourself.

A few days afterwards I saw an outline of an animal while gazing and remembered our exchange here.

I begrudgingly asked “Alright what’s my animal?” In front of me I saw a completely different animal doing a backflip…

😳I really didn’t expect a response. Which is probably why I received one.

Is that whooshing noise like the wind that Don Juan talks about.

You don't really need anything else to go further, other than that deeper silence is just as valuable as flashy experiences.

Unfortunately...

It's easy to forget that, once you can see fun stuff most practice sessions. It's like obsessing over the games and rides in a sleezy carnival, instead of realizing the most interesting parts are the workers.

You'll get further, and faster, if you keep the emphasis on removing all traces of the internal dialogue.

If you can't see that we combine pieces of a larger whole, using "meaning" as the control value, then the silence is still not free from physical body prejudices. Once you get rid of that, you realize that "meanings' are meaningless, because there's layers and layers of new possible combinations, producing new meanings, in precisely the same direction you are looking.

You're looking at a shark for example, but there's also a rose bush there, or a spooky mansion. It's the same general range of emanations, but at a different "depth". Or at least, you can manipulate it with the feeling of depth.

It's like another dimension you can use, to change the second attention.

I was traveling in and out of that "nagual ether" last night, perhaps 50 feet away from where I was physically located in my darkroom.

So I'll point out that "navigating" is kind of like noticing there's a distance in front of you, which you can travel, to see what it's like to exist "over there".

Submerged in a different reality.

Which was implied in your shark situation. If there's a shark, there's water.

It's not vague to navigate in the Nagual Ether!

Beginners in here will always think it's some kind of meditation visualization.

It's not!

I suppose it's more like sleeping walking. When you sleep walk, you aren't in the real copy of reality.

You're in an alternate one.

And yet, you can navigate anyway.

And you can go from feeling fairly normal, to being in an intensely pleasant state, similar to what you get half asleep.

It's a pity people who suffer from depression can't find the Nagual ether.

The solution to their problems is right there in front of them.

But they'd never make the kind of effort it takes, to remove the internal dialogue.

Some people will talk themselves out of real magic, using all the excuses they've built up for their entire life.

But really, it's just laziness.
