Saw a bunch of sparks during a pass

Over about the last 2 months, I've noticed an increase in yellowish/goldish/whitish sparks in my vision, usually happening when turning my head. They've happened in daily life, during passes, in daylight and near darkness. In the dark I'll think I might have left a big light source on, turn around to check and there's just a few small LED lights.

There's been an increase in frequency and size of the sparks. Last night I saw the biggest cluster I've seen. I did the "straightening lines of energy" pass from the Sorcery Passes channel. Pull hands to the side in front of the face, step forward and turn around right. Wait. Pull again, step forward and turn around right. In the second step, as I was stepping forward and beginning my turn, I saw these sparks.

In the quick glance they It looked like 40 sparks. I drew a rough approximation. They were opaque but the coloration was weird, more like a glint of non-moving electricity or a reflection on a bubble, but of a solid color, and not moving, there and then gone. The total frame of the picture shown is about a meter across and high, and was roughly half a meter away from me.

It was super cool to see! I wrote down on a note to post about it in the morning.. remembered in the morning.. then forgot about it by the time I got up, did passes, went about my day and didn't remember until the evening, where I'm posting now. I don't think I can ignore them as "random visual phenomena"!

The pass I've most often seen these sparks in is the dropping/ assemblage point from Dreaming series, where you turn and look down at your fingers, during the turning motion.

I see purple spots mostly. Usually, like you, on a movement or when my eyes are fixed, staring up into the black of my eyebrow area. I think it's the 2nd attention manifesting.

My eyes flutter as well, I've seen little snaps of electricity. It looks a bit like lightning in a grey mist or storm.

Honestly, I try not to pay much attention to these things anymore. I just want to focus on shutting up the internal dialogue.

Hey I am still learning - I've seen some more experienced practicers on here comment that we should (I'm paraphrasing) try to put our attention into anything that isn't "normal". If you think it's the 2nd attention manifesting - isn't the 2nd Attention only showing up when the internal dialogue is reduced?

For me, if I look at those purple spots, they just go away. Usually, they show up at the beginning of practice.

I do generally see a "broader mist thing" lol, sorry, I can't really describe it well. If I focus on that, my whole head starts to stiffen up. I sink a bit too, like I'm less aware of my surroundings.

Yes, I do believe you're to put your attention on anything that isn't normal.

I'm confused why you aren't trying to attention to these? Sounds like exactly the kind of weird thing to check out.

Why are you ignoring the purple puffs? Did someone tell you to do that on this reddit sub? Or perhaps the Castaneda Discord group? I am asking so that you could help solve a mystery for me.

I'm not on Discord. Are those spots the same as puffs? I was under the impression the puffs are bigger.

One reason why experienced people don't give out much advice is every person is going to have a different experience and the last thing they want is to pollute a new practitioner with expectations of what they are "supposed" to see.

For some people the puffs are not purple, but if they are larger than a pin prick and last longer than a flash, then they absolutely are exactly what you should be looking for.

On the J-curve map, there is a list of "common sights" that people in the Darkroom who are getting Silent and moving their Assemblage Point see. First big achievement is to see a puff appear and then recede away from you. The movement is more important than color or size.

Are you seeing a purple spot that recedes away from you and stays in the same place in you vision no matter where your head moves?

My eyes stop fluttering and I look up into my eyebrow area, which is dark. I'll see either the purple spots or a purple disk.

The disk will usually last for maybe a minute. The spots go away very quickly, like a few seconds. Then my eyes start fluttering again and I'll see that mist thing, I was mentioning to the OP in another post. My hands will be slapping at it, trying to move it around my body. I've no idea what it is.

I agree with you about not posting much advice. Unfortunately, I'm the type of person who does the wrong thing, first time, all the time, haha.

Don't feel bad, the most useful advice comes at the beginning. Once you get hooked into what to do, the rest is easy in comparison to your first experiences.

You are probably right to ignore the tiny dots, it is the solo purple disc thing that you want to concentrate on (but not enough to break your Silence).

Here are some most important links to visuals and posts. The diagram (first link) is where on your energetic shell you Assemblage Point is as it goes through the "Zones" like green zone, red zone.

The J-curve map is a roadmap through the Zones you hear people mention (green zone, red zone) and what things you should be experiencing. These are generalizations, every body is different, but enough practitioners can correlate that these are the similar sights you will see and how to use that to determine how much your AP moved.

Posting right after so I don't forget like last night! I saw another big set of sparks, these were more muted in color but still yellow/goldish. During the hurling assemblage point over the shoulder from Dreaming. They flashed in a big ring shape, centered above and slightly left of my center of vision.

Which passes did you do?

I mentioned them in the post about the straightening lines of energy, and the dropping assemblage point.

Don't forget the story of the red rag blowing in the wind, on the top of a stick.

Something so important that don Juan took it home and used it to scare the other apprentices into working harder.

The fact that Carlos found that accidental flag on a mountain top (likely planted by don Juan), isn't really the point.

I suppose in Sufism, finding a "magical rag" would make you famous and you could go start stealing money from people. Maybe claim it's good as a flying carpet too.

By the way, those are possible. So some day you can make your own using Tensegrity. I did it a few days in a row a few years back, with help from an Ally.

And because Carlos didn't know what the red rag was, being fairly far away from it on that mountain top, it started to turn into a wounded animal thrashing about as it was dying.

If he'd just sat still and kept watching it, not knowing what it was, it might have developed into an actual animal that Carlos could go interact with, for real.

In Buddhism, I suppose that would be the "realization" that meant he could now go raise money to purchase his little throne, so he could lord it over some monks of his own.

If that sounds harsh, just go attend a Zen service in Los Angeles! Ask yourself, are these people actually learning anything real, sitting around with their eyes closed? And what's the goal? Attention from other people?

But in sorcery, a single experience is next to meaningless.

There's no realizations, and no magical objects of any actual value.

Someone posted a quote from Taisha's book on a magical ring don Juan gave her, which materialized from a butterfly falling onto her finger. The quote admitted, the ring had no real power at all. It was the act of don Juan having made it for her that was important.

Bottom line: this is a 1000 mile long path, with new stuff all along the way.

The new stuff tomorrow, will nearly invalidate the new stuff from today. Which invalidated the new stuff from yesterday.

So the best use for stuff like what you saw, is to try to perceive it as long as you can, without disturbing the Tensegrity too much.

Unless it's so cool you can't look away.

It's the ability to sustain perception of "the impossible" (the second attention) that matters.

Not what it "is", or what it can be used for.

Oddly, even if it was Minx the ally standing there making faces at you, as he often does with me lately, the important part is just learning that you can't pay attention for very long, even if you make up your mind to do it.

Something in you will want to look away. We've been brainwashed to ignore anything outside the "Island of the Tonal", even when it's a damned miracled that you can see it.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm trying not to assign any "meaning" to the sparks, just noticing that they're more frequent. As they flash while I do the passes I try not to interrupt my movement. The flash I saw after posting did interrupt me, I kept moving for a second then stopped in a sort of shock. But it was strange, it felt like I was "supposed" to be surprised at it, even though I had kept moving without pause for a moment. Maybe that's the brainwashing you're referring to.
