Hello friends, I am new here, but not new to Castaneda's books, I have read them all. I have recently started studying Gnosticism and I see parallels between Don Juan's teachings on the path of the warrior and the teachings of the Gnostics. The main goal is similar - to leave this world consciously at the moment of death, the only difference is that the goal of the Gnostics is to return to Pleroma connect with our Source, and become free, while the warriors seek to leave this world, transfer their consciousness to another and become free. Both of them see the world as a prison, directly or indirectly. Am I wrong to see a parallel here?

There are many parallels, but the differences are pronounced enough to make integration a lost cause. If that's what you may be thinking about.
The issue is the culture in which it sprang up, and that it's built on the back of Abrahamic religion.
There are seriously incompatible understandings in that which make it fundamentally incompatible with the Olmec's awareness technology.
Removed for an unspecified reason. Further details may, or may not, be forthcoming from the mods.
Reason for removal: A comparative discussion on this won't leave anyone better off for practicing, since it would be little more than an intellectual exercise.
The actual Gnostics have been gone for over a millennia. Leave them to history.
