In my session earlier today, I watched a city form in a purple blob and was able to focus on a random gold blob to zoom in/out and kinda/maybe focus and hold my silence. Being from the Sky Pass so far seems to the pass I’ve gotten the most aerial recons from. Maybe? I dunno?
One of my better sessions in a while. Until this damn cat from communist Siberia; jumped on couch beside me and belted out a huge meow screech in my ear. Scaring the piss out me, and blowing my post tensegrity gazing session to hell….
I’m really starting to loathe the commie cat.

Nice work! Cracking up at your cat issue; my dog is a challenge I have to work around constantly.....more like having some kind of needy two year old.
I use my dog to guard me when I’m using the sleep mask. The shadow blobs are……disconcerting at times. Unfortunately, the dog is afraid of commie cat and wants nothing to do with that scrap lol
It's possible to leap into those puffs and look around in whatever scene they have, but so far we don't know if that takes an Ally's help.
I never did it without one there. And I used to send my Ally into the dream to check it out for me first, while I watched from the outside.
Once the Allies start teaching you, you can pretty much order them around inside dreams while you watch the show.
It's not vague! This is deep red zone stuff. It's always "concrete" if you shift your assemblage point sideways at that depth.
But rather than risking using up your dreaming energy that way (by insisting on concrete), instead you risk being pulled so far sideways that you lose rationality and engage in pointless endeavors, the way everyone does in sleeping dreams.
The good news is, as long as you're awake, who cares???
It's when you try to use sleeping dreaming to learn sorcery, that you have to care so much about rationality and a sense of purpose.
I suppose an analogy is that if you're using sleeping dreaming and you're a male, it's like becoming rich in a monopoly game with your friends.
Instead of becoming wealthy in the real world.
But you can still enter waking dreams if you don't have an Ally.
It just seems to take making it to the purple zone. And getting sucked into the dream, rather than leaping into it.
If you don't have an ally, it's possible to substitute a second person, but the chances of knowing anyone willing to work hard enough to learn sorcery, are close to zero.
I suppose that was part of the plan Carlos had. To get people to practice in large groups, with hopes you'd get the benefit of having a second awareness with you.
It makes a HUGE difference for how concrete things can become.
Going into that purple zone is the same as a regular dream where you get distracted and lost in pointless endeavours. My regular dreams are wildly vivid and crazy, and have no rationality, so I’ve just ignored them. Even when I’ve know I’m dreaming I behead no rational awareness.
I asked you a few days ago, about thinking/speaking while dreaming awake. “Thinking” to act, is really intent to act? Cause I was zooming in/out without really thinking about it. I also had that gold blob helping me. I’ve noticed in other newer practitioner posts that something has showed up to help them as well. Any thoughts on that?
Does the sub count as a large group practicing together, or is that more applicable to the advanced practice sub?
The purple zone is the OPPOSITE of the confusion of sleeping dreaming.
It's "seeing"!
And only possible when your assemblage point moves to the other side of the body.
Also, speaking isn't necessarily intent, until you clean your link to intent.
It's just a way to try to activate intent. You can also wave your hand, or tap your foot. I used to lift my little finger only to activate intent, when I didn't want to move for fear of losing a vision.
The key is just whether your link to intent is clean.
And we don't know if this sub counts as a large group practice.
Carlos and don Juan never had access to such a thing.
Cholita and I have ended up with some links, that survive the distance to wherever she is in Mexico.
But both of have to try to use the link, or it doesn't work well.
And you can't "want" that. You still need a clean link to intent, to make the connection.
I suppose I'm saying you can't learn sorcery by making groups.
You have to learn it by yourself.
But in such a situation, if everyone in a group is doing that, then the group is beneficial.
If it turns into a church, then it's very harmful to your chances.
I'm a big fan of Siberian Cats. They seem to have learned to put up with anything from humans, I suppose because if you throw out the cat in Siberian, it has no longer than 15 mintues to live before it freezes to death.
I once saw an angry 20 year old Russian man kick his cat across the room for nothing more than being underfoot. But the cat just got up, ran over to him, and licked his boots.
Unfortunately, that cat fell to its death from the 10th story of a giant apartment complex in Moscow, due to trying to sneak over to the neighbor's apartment for some yogurt, when the balcony bars were covered in ice.
I’m not a fan, I like dogs. Mans best friend. This cats attitude is definitely consistent with what you describe.
I’d never kick or be mean to any animal that’s sub-human behaviour. But I tell you, the cat here is so fucking annoying, it wants nothing to do with me until I’m doing tensegrity and then he’s my needy best friend - I think and I’ve noticed it with our horses, animals sense or notice inner silence. I’m starting to think other humans notice it subconsciously as well. But who knows….I dunno much. Life is better this way.
Siberian cats are notoriously talkative.
They even seem to comment on everything as they walk around, sometimes scornfully.
