Waking Sleeping Dreaming during SK

/media/1svfc1l/0d5abg0dvcxg1.jpg

I suppose this evolved from the experiences which generated the last post.

Instead of partially assembling a "red zone" style world down low, as a vague phantom replacement for my real world, my double brought a full sleeping dream out into the real world.

It was quite shocking. I was somehow asleep and in a dream, at the same time I was awake, viewing Silent Knowledge.

But maybe it shouldn't be so surprising. There's 2 versions of all of us.

And when you restore your energy body, and move your assemblage point into alignment with the one your dreamer has, your tonal begins to share your double's eyes.

The result is silent knowledge.

But the double's eyes can also predominate. So if you will allow "the irrational", you can have the lower half of your room be a dream.

Not a vague dream! A full on REAL dream, running while you are awake and able to view Silent Knowledge.

I wonder if it's not a "preview" of some kind?

A strange problem comes up. There's elements of all dreams which make absolutely no sense.

Such as you're in a shopping mall,. but there's a giant swimming pool where you ought to be walking around between stores. So you have to walk on water, to get across to the other stores.

Your tonal rationality will reject that constantly, making it impossible to perceive that dream continuously.

But that seems to pay off by preventing you from fully falling asleep.

FYI:

It looks even cooler than this picture, but I can't get the AI to draw it.

It keeps labeling my images, "A cinematic fantasy-surreal scene”.

Which is WRONG.

It's merely Friday night's practice session.

ChatGPT didn't like me accusing it of doubting what I did last night and said:

If you want to avoid giving readers the impression that I “concluded it wasn’t real,” don’t quote it that way. That would be overstating what happened. The image label means: style category, not truth judgment.

I see a tree and a village/city.
These are common for many of us?

I continue to see homes and trees.

I’ve seen old villages, but it’s been a bit since the last occurrence.

Sometimes they appear as a video stream, sometimes as a still images.

yes, very often trees/forests and houses (sometimes urban, sometimes rustic wooden). But I think it's all wrong, it's more about gazing than the videos that Dan describes. A couple of times I managed to start watching videos, it was like sleeping with my eyes open and the body sensations were indescribable. These couple of successes were with my eyes wide open, whereas before I tried to squint or look under my upper eyelid or something else. And in the cases of receiving the video, I just opened my eyes wide and muted the internal dialogue until I fell asleep with my eyes still open.

Carlos advised against the video method of viewing silent knowledge. And yet, all of the examples he gave were closer to the "video method".

Not that we get much of a choice. You take what you get.

If you try to control it, you stop it from happening at all.

It’s inaccurate to describe it as “sharing your double’s” 👀.

The double is energy, not matter. It’s doesn’t have eyes. It perceives, globally, and has it’s own assemblage point.

Except that the double's perceptual bias seems to be based on the tonal body's experiences.

But certainly in a dream you can be "you", someone else including non-human forms, or just a virtual observer who has no physical presence, the way movies have a virtual witness.

Also, if you hold a puff in your hand and look through it like a lens, you can see what your dreamer would see.

And then there's that giant second attention "eye"...

The eyes are everywhere!

...and proclivities. Could be why my most salient second attention experiences are usually tactile and not visual.

Maybe I'm blind in a few more cyclic being worlds than is statistically usual.

Or just touchy feely.

Could be I'm ultra visually oriented because that's what our community needed, in order to prevent pretending from taking over. So that Little Smoke pushed me in that direction.

Not that non-visual is pretending. But it's easier to pretend it than to pretend visual results.

Sunlight glitter definitely helps illuminate the random emanation noise that becomes visible.

It kind of turns up the baseline of actual light in a dark room.

But you have to overdose on it to generate the most vivid visual results.

And if you get no sunlight glitter that day, you tend to have far less visible results.

Why not post about those?

I'm unclear on exactly what you mean, and Taisha's not-doings have quite an emphasis on "feeling".

I started paying more attention to "feeling" last night, and was surprised at which I noticed.

Something was clearly brushing against my stomach. At first I thought it might be a wayward cobweb, but it would have to be a "bushy cobweb" and those don't exist.

So I can't explain it.

clearly brushing against my stomach

Very similar to that. But also literally feeling apparently solid objects that are in the darkroom, but not this version of it. Or not composed of the usual bundle of emanations.

Like in the robot arms and the rubber balls GIF, but not visually perceived. Only felt. And sometimes smelled.

u/danl999 6 points 2026-04-29 13:08

So apparently I get all that stuff too but just ignore it. Except back when I was smelling Jadey's baked goods from 6000 miles away.

That sort of stuff carries into your waking life.

Especially the smell part.

Here's something I commonly feel, but can't explain. A jet black box that shows up to press against my side while I'm doing Tensegrity.

Interesting excerpt regarding this from the Magical Passes book- The Series for the Womb

....."The totality of the human body is an instrument of perception. However, the predominance of the visual in us gives perception the overall mood of the eyes. This mood, according to old sorcerers, is merely the heritage of a purely predatorial state.
"The effort of the old sorcerers, which has lasted to our days", don Juan continued, " was geared towards placing themselves beyond the predator's eye. They conceived the predator's eye to be visual par excellence, and that the realm beyond the predator's eye is a realm of pure perception, which is not visually oriented ".

Likewise, another important issue in tensegrity practice is the act that has been termed "Turning the body on."

And it's important to note that relaxing the muscles or arriving at a state of tranquility is not turning the body off, either.

Apparently my double is trying to join me in the "real" copy of reality.

It's perhaps a self-directed 4th gate, on the part of my double?

Last night this happened. I was distracted by how real the "intrusions" from the sleeping dreaming world were, and as a result my tonal got sucked into that dream copy of the world, instead of me just watching it fill my practice room.

I ended up standing in that parking lot looking at some leaves in a pile.

Then after noticing how real t hey were, I was back in my practice room.

A "full body" Silent Knowledge induced entry into an alternate reality stream.

I suspect, the coveted 4th gate is merely inevitable and has more to do with your double wanting to explore the real world, then it has to do with following those random "steps".

Is it that being able to reach silent knowledge, and align both the tonal and double’s assemblage points, lead to that inevitability of the double trying to make its way to the “real” copy of reality?

It seems like if someone can get silent enough to finally get their AP in alignment with their double’s, that then the double would start making its way into the ”real” copy of the world and eventually pass that 4th gate of dreaming. But maybe I’m totally off.

Could be!

We don't have enough people who can do this reliably, daily, to figure out the details.

And Carlos never went into details on stuff like this because whenever he tried in private classes, he realized he sounded like an idiot to us.

Sorcery really is outside our normal reality, so when you try to explain things in the kind of "step by step" detail we believe forms our real world ("causality").

Also, "seeing" is so vast that it seems to branch off in dozens of directions we weren't told about. All super magical, but since they weren't described to us, they aren't "firm".

The AI didn't do so well, but the situation is like this, once you can sustain SK. You see those "other paths" you could take.

/media/1svfc1l/93rsr87eo5yg1.png

And all we can afford to follow in a single lifetime, are the ones already explored by seers.

As for people trying to follow "Art of Dreaming". there's nothing wrong with that, if you really are doing it.

It's just that those saying they are, typically are trying to get credit for sleeping,. as if that were practicing.

They're just looking to join the "cool kids club" without any actual work.

It's not just me saying that. Both Carlos and the witches cut men off when they started to talk about such things.

Even Cholita felt the wrath!

Hmm... interesting!

It just seems like sleeping dreaming would only really be useful once you can do waking dreaming, fully in SK, and go from waking dreaming, into sleeping dreaming, and then go to sleep à la the twin positions! 👯‍♀️ Or is that veering too far off and I'm just getting greedy/overthinking? Or maybe it's not really something that should be talked about too much (at least here)

[-]
u/danl999 6 points 2026-04-29 18:37

Yes, that's most likely how twin positions are done.

Directly from awake you lay down in your position, and within 60 seconds you're inside a dream, without forgetting where you came from or what you wanted to do.

By the time in Art of Dreaming where Carlos went off with Carol Tiggs, I believe he was frustrated because it took him 10 minutes to get into the dream.

But far more interesting than using waking dreaming to explore sleeping dreaming, is to "shrink the tonal" and explore the real world, in your double.

That's when you get to do things like Cholita used to do with me. Running through solid walls, leaping over 6 foot high concrete walls like you were an Olympic gymnast, Jumping to the top of a 30 foot high power pole...

Or lifting a car in one hand for that matter!

Honestly, I'm not sure why people are so interested in sleeping dreams.

It's not like you get lucid in those all the time, without making a gigantic effort.

That same effort is better put into practicing darkroom.

Cholita did a dance number for me with Minx pretending to be her partner.

I was fully awake, opened the hallway door to the living room, and ended up in the phantom copy of our home.

But a month or two later she ran away for a few weeks, and the phantom copy of the house collapsed.

I think there's likely still one at Pandora. Carlos' old house.

He tried to trick me into stepping into it.

This is very close to what I saw Cholita doing with Minx. Including the strange audience behind glass.
