I've been making progress on inner silence recently - noticing a verbal inner dialogue more often. More often cutting it short instead of continually trying to answer its thoughts.
I've kept up doing the first 2 parts of Series for Preparing Intent daily.
This morning right when I woke up I saw a scene out of my left eye, "through" my sleep mask. I sat up and started the recapitulation breath trying to look at it more while keeping my eyes open. I had an initial dialogue thought of "this is just a dream and it's disappearing as soon as you wake up" but I knew I was awake and ignored that, excited and knowing the visuals were staying!
Previous sights in the morning happened shortly after waking up and during recap. One was a small alphanumeric readout like an alarm clock. The other was a wavy scene, as if looking at ocean water through a very opaque glass that obscured it. Both were sitting up (not asleep).
Today was a full visual scene! Out of my left eye I saw a cluttered desk. Not a messy desk, lots of gadgets on it. I think a keyboard or a typewriter (something that had a height to it) and a bunch of various shapes. They were all fairly defined looking, not blobby, but I couldn't focus on any particular one, I was taking in the whole scene. The view was like looking at a screen projected a few inches from my eye, with a faint watery distortion, like there was a wall of water in front of the desk, or in the "lens" of my view.
The view panned slowly from left to right then on a subsequent pan I noticed the distortion/water lens.
Yesterday I spent hours wearing an eye patch as an optional part of a costume for a show and I kept my eyes open, hoping for some kind of dark room effect. After about an hour with it on, it was disorienting in a fun way. Visuals like branching vine tendrils shimmering, more like a rapid sped-up plant vine video, but blueish. Much more detailed and spread out than the "sheets" of color I've seen move around when fully in dark room. I've got to wear the costume more today and I'm going to try it again. I think spending focus looking at the weird tendrils helped on the slience front and seeing such a detailed scene this morning is encouraging me to try more.

This is very interesting. I have had similar effects in a state of complete inner silence and closed eyes. Usually in this situation, my two eyes act completely independently, and I can “see” different scenes either through the left or through the right eye. I can switch between them, but I can never seem to focus both on the same scene. I wonder if there is an explanation for this effect. I myself don't know what's going on.
That's cool! Have you tried opening one or two eyes when that happens?
That's "seeing".
AKA "Silent Knowledge".
Specifically, a "video in the air" presentation method.
Of course, you "cheated" to get it. But the talking lizards are also "cheating", and you might even say that having an Ally teach you how to manipulate the puffs, is the same type of cheating. Because their awareness is holding the magic in place. And moving your assemblage point a little, to make it easier for you.
You woke up with your assemblage point already shifted, and it didn't immediately move back because you've become more flexible.
If you keep going, you'll be able to do that DAILY, and without waking up from a dream.
But it might take a couple of hours to get to it.
Oddly, once you can get free flowing "videos in the air", chances are you won't care because you'll be investigating something else more interesting.
Which is possibly a mistake, but it's a mistake made in SK. A distant assemblage point position where your normal motivations are inoperative.
Our goal is that distant castle, but it's easy to hop off the train when you get to something interesting.
Fortunately, we get to try again each time we practice.
I suspect that candy shop is what caused Julian to be unable to reach the 3rd attention.
(we still need to rescue him eventually).
Re: Seeing, sweet.
It was very cool to see, very encouraging to practice.
"it didn't immediately move back because you've become more flexible."
In the last week I've noticed I sometimes walk as far as the bathroom after waking up before observing internal dialogue. About the same amount of duration as I saw the sustained scene. Hm!
Re: candy shop and castle - so when sorcerers get stuck exploring the candy shops they need visitors to pull them out?
Not in our case. I don't believe Julian got trapped in the "shift below" in any way.
He just created a flat spot, and his assemblage point couldn't move through the whole J curve range, fast enough to join his comrades.
It wouldn't take much delay to spoil that technique.
Maybe just a 2 second delay?
Compare that to how long it takes us, to move from green, to orange.
Nice! I like that the scene panned for you, I've had panning views as well. My most recent stream had a scene that moved on a 'S' track for a non-existent commercial selling energy pistols(weird, but not complaining). Crazy how well produced it was.
Happy for you, the more you practice, the more likely these things will happen more frequently and during gazing sessions.
Energy pistols sound fun. I wish I had gotten a better look at what was on the desk, everything was very detailed but I couldn't quite make sense of each item's details. The watery bubble effect was really cool looking. I appreciate the sentiment and encouragement to practice.
