It is painfully obvious to anybody living in contemporary society, that attention deficit disorders are rampant nowadays. Most people nowadays intuit that technology and brainrot media are to blame, since those sorts of issues were rather rare a few hundred years ago.
Going off of that, I just had an interesting realization about some mechanisms of attention while practicing inner silence in my daily life. What creates the fixations of our first attention? What empowers them to persist? How does this relate to the amazing art of stalking? A curious combination of Impressions and Narratives.
Impressions are energized perceptions which empower the engine of our awareness. They are marked by the feeling of "novelty". It is why most children seem to have endless amounts of energy, while some adults are exhausted by the time they wake up. It is why we feel refreshed after a nice holiday - a change of scenery or pace. It is probably the experience of lighting up unused emanations - but I cannot attest to this since I have never seen. These impressions end up making our attention more vivid for a while, before dissipating. We could call this a manifestation of more energy.
Narratives are simply coherent sets of internal dialogue. The story a person tells themself about the world - the Tonal. This is our native invention and it allows for a much deeper exploration of the first attention. In essense, it is what allows us to fixate for prolonged periods of time on specific emanations within the first attention with the goal of extracting even more impressions. It produces the anticipation of impressions - telling us that what we are currently fixating our attention on is likely to produce more impressions to feed us. Likewise, the feeling of boredom is useful by telling us that no more impressions worth gaining are available using our current perception strategies.
People inherit these narratives from their social structures in the process of their upbringing and are put hard to work on maintaining and propagating them. Traditional narrative-building is actually quite demanding, so most of the energy released by those new impressions is reinvested to maintain the process. Hence the trap of the first attention we have laid for ourselves. The redpill moment of realizing you can change the narrative yourself is probably the first step on the path of knowledge. But that is like moving the assemblage point a 1/4 inch closer to the green zone... Still a long way to go.
Stalking is the new narrative-building process the new seers created, in order to change the equation of the first attention. That is to say, they noticed certain narrative structures are parasitic - they required a ton of energy and attention to be maintained, but did not yield a proportionate extraction of impressions. Like spending all your income on a fancy car, only to barely get by on rice and beans. And that car breaks down all the time, so you have to spend even more on maintenance.
So how does ones attention become deficient to the point of disorder? I believe it to be the inability of a person to maintain the traditional narrative-building process. That is to say, the process ought to be effortless and self-sustaining - for sorcerers it should even be a source of power. But for ADD people, it is a downward spiral into energetic bankruptcy. The issue could stem from actual brain damage, but in healthy individuals it is usually a powerless attempt to escape the dysfunctional traditional narrative through excessive indulging.
Since this explanation has gone on long enough, I will only consider one specific form of indulging which is especially harmful to ADD people - brainrot. This is actually a nice name for it, since it is in keeping with the character of new seers to use comedy to build inventory. I would classify most modern form of electronic entertainment as brainrot - TV, Video games, Tiktok. It uses your attention to build a temporary narrative, while sustaining you with minimal impressions. You get hooked on the anticipation of easy impressions. A person can only maintain a limited set of narratives concurrently, so usually the brainrot slowly takes over your natural constructs in your immediate memory. The longer you exist in brainrot, the more native narrative it replaces. When the brainrot is over, you realize those impressions do not carry energy into your daily life, the temporary narrative is gone and your native narrative has been undermined through neglect. As a result the anticipation of impressions from the ordinary world is nonexistent at this point and everything is boring by comparison. So you deplete yourself by fighting boredom in order to pick up the pieces each time. Using willpower to fight boredom is like pitting your left hand against your right... you only end up worse off for it.
I could go on talking about how storing narrative in long-term and short-term memory works mechanically to enable this dysfunction, but this post is long enough as it is.
What do you guys think? Have any of you had experience dealing with ADD/ADHD? Have any of our seers here managed to see a person brainrotting? What does it look like?

I don't know about ADD and ADHD, but I do know that my brain was digging up narratives like crazy yesterday, and inventing new ones, to the point where I was saying out loud 'You are funny. Absolutely hilarious. So funny of you to start this now' so you can imagine...
This is one of the best descriptions I have seen to date on ways how to approach stalking. It indirectly but perfectly describes the need for erasing personal history as to finally be able to coherently start talking your own story.
I always try and separate my practices into trying to achieve inner silence (which I am a noob in since I've spent so much time about worrying due to being a target of a predator for such a long time) and controlling inner monologue. I figured since I had such a rampant inner dialogue, at least I could start controlling it. Over time I realised entering inner silence is becoming easier and I can hold it for a minute or two at the time while before it was almost impossible.
You call it ADD, but I feel it's a type of perception which needs to constantly jump between subjects, as if the awerness can't grasp the totatility of what I needs to percieve (which is determined by its nature) due to the lack of energy so it compensates by jumping between. Which seems, if it can be done long enough, without interuptions on the game from the outside forces, starts to create higher states by itself. In short, just roll with it
*"So why pretend? I told you the other day, a warrior accepts in humbleness what
he is."
-Carlos Castaneda ('Tales of Power')*
I am not quite following you.
What is it precisely that you do to control your inner dialogue?
You talk instead of listening.
How do you know it’s you??
I've "seen" someone being eaten alive by brain rot
I was watching someone from a distance who was watching a movie. I had no idea what movie it was. I couldn't see his laptop screen. I started gazing him from afar, just to see what would happen.
Toward the end of my gazing, I saw something khaki-colored appear around him, it took the shape of a military uniform, with a helmet and a mouth covering, leaving only his eyes exposed. He looked worn down inside it, like it was heavy and exhausting to wear.
I thought that something was wrong with my silence and I couldn't see any further than that so stopped. Afterward, the movie ended and he went to get something to eat. I approached him and we talked.
That's when I found out he'd been watching a military movie he didn't even like!! He didn't know how he'd gotten so absorbed in it. He said it felt like it had fried his brain, and he wished he'd never watched it.
Based on that, what I take away is this: we live on a kind of autopilot, driven by our inner "island of the tonal." Sharpening our perception and awareness — so we don't just live like animals, driven by internal automatic instincts — takes conscious practice.
We need to look inward, with real attention, to understand who we are , what we're doing and find ways to become better beings. One of the points of recapitulation and of observing the self — the island of the tonal — is to become empty. "Empty" means no longer being defined by our stories, our past events, and everything else we carry inside us. It's lifelong work that starts by accepting who you are, limitations and all.
Lastly , we have some seriously dedicated practitioners out there with ADHD, and I have inattentive ADHD myself.
When it comes to practice, I think it just comes down to wanting it , being hooked into it. Once you want it, you'll commit to it no matter what you're dealing with. On a personal, day-to-day level, it helps to observe how you act for a while, so you build up enough knowledge and awareness to eventually make the shift. And then maintain that shift consciously.
Since this is not a practice related post it will be deleted and l suggest you use discord server for those kind of conversations.
