All that fuss for doing something every sorcery practitioner ought to be able to do once in a while? Traveling without moving? If you don't get to do that nightly for at least a few seconds, you need to work harder.
But moving in the energy body doesn't actually come with "evil" music. That's just to trick gullible people into thinking something important is being shown on screen. Might as well have snarling animals and rattlesnake sounds.
Because the "ominous music" is just an appeal to your self-pity filled human point of view.
One way you can know that a religion is made up, is by studying what they say about spirits. Including angels, demons, and God.
But you have to learn to see spirits daily before it becomes obvious that they made it all up so they could steal money from people.
A simplified summary:
1) If their spirits behave like greedy people, it's made up. Spirits have almost no human concerns at all. Nor do they understand them much. They don't exist in the human realm. They only visit it in probe form.
2) If spirits have the goals and obsessions of humans, it's made up. Spirits are inorganic, so they don't live in organic being hierarchies. They live in something else that's actually tied to how they function. So there's no "goals" within it. That is, if you remove learning as a goal. They do seem to like to learn. But most of what they're now learning, is so far past our understanding that it couldn't even be explained. And has nothing to do with humans.
3) If the human-like appearance of the spirits doesn't change each time they are viewed, it's made up. Spirits don't have an organic body, and any appearance we can perceive in this reality, is just a projection from the dark sea of awareness, 95% tainted by your "beliefs".
4) If the supposedly "true" appearance can be described, it's made up. Even the world they live in can't possibly be described. We don't have words for much of it. And when viewing it directly, from inside their world, you can't perceive most of it. We just don't "overlap" much with them.
5) Most other realms in the reality-verse can't be described at all. If the religion is describing things like some kind of hierarchy of paradise human designed gardens, it's made up.
I'm afraid, there isn't a single true religion on earth at this time.
And the people who are closest to anything "true", would NEVER make up a religion. They have no desire to collect people and steal money from them.
Not that humans don't need places for weddings, funerals, and community meetings.
But we've never managed to make a system to provide those, without the lies.

This thread reminded me of a post I saw over on the UFO subreddit or was it the HighStrangeness one. There was a fully clear video of the shape of a man and he was illuminated like a light bulb.
It got me thinking about the passage in the books about the Mold of Man. I was wondering if it was something like that or if it was the double of a sorcerer. Damn video was realistic af. I've been trying to find it again but can't.
