Can I use music to try to visualize?

So, I know that's not like meditation but at the beginning can I use music to try to do that process in the dark room? Or it's definitely a no? Also, I need to force myself to be silent instead of letting go and pass my thoughts like on meditation?

There’s no visualizing. Carlos explains in Magical Passes that you shouldn’t listen to music or other.

I'm just reading that book, but I'm not in that part yet.

It’s in the intro: I think.

You can learn shutting off internal dialogue seperate from darkroom tensegrity, I did. It takes constant non-stop practice to learn to silence inner dialogue. Try it while driving or moving. Focus or look at the the horizon and let world overwhelm your eyes, while you work on shutting off idialogue.
(That’s how I started)
Once you get a feel for shutting it off it’s non-stop practice.

Drop the prop

Good questions! Maybe we can disentangle them for better clarity and understanding:

1. Music as a "prop." The person who said "drop the prop" was being terse, but they're right. Music can feed the internal dialogue instead of quieting it. Carlos was blunt about this in Magical Passes, as BBz13z pointed out.(Listening to music on its own, some other time, is fine, just not as a tool for silence.) And, I should add that I personally will use music to help me get in a receptive mood for practice, then turn it off once I know I’m getting silent (visual feedback is very useful à la darkroom and gazing, leading to your question about visualizing)

2. There's nothing to "visualize." The dark room isn't guided imagery or meditation where you picture something. You're not creating images in your head, you're waiting for the darkness itself to start showing you things once your internal dialogue drops.

In this work you're actually shutting the internal dialogue off, which Don Juan called "the crux of sorcery… the only way" to change your idea of the world (Tales of Power). The method Don Juan taught was physical: unfocus your eyes and hold a soft, peripheral gaze at a point just above the horizon, letting the whole 180° field flood in at once. He said that's the way to stop the internal dialogue. BBz13z described the same thing, like trying it while walking or driving, letting the world overwhelm your eyes. That's the doorway. Zuleica’s instructions about gazing can be particularly helpful: This is a recent post of some of her instructions and she has more about using a candle flame 🕯️ (from which Darkroom practice is largely borne) and posts on daylight gazing can also be super helpful.

So, no music, nothing to visualize, just gaze, and let the eyes go soft and wide. It takes constant practice, like BBz said. As long as you keep at it, you’ll make it happen! (or rather, it will happen all by itself!)🖤🫡✊💪

You're welcome! 😊🩷 though I totally overlooked this comment from Dan the other day on gazing practices, sorry!! 😅

If you "let go", especially with music, gongs or chanting going on, you just end up in the green zone. And maybe I'm a bit paranoid, but I believe the green zone is designed to trap people there.

By who or what, I don't know (yet). But my suspicion is that the green zone was created by billions of religious people who were seeking comfort from the predatory reality of the blue zone above it.

When asked about Buddhist ceremonies and why they “work,” Florinda said, “Because they intended them to work.”

Which is an insult to Buddhism, but Florinda had a bit more restraint about insulting outside systems then I do. The witches were subtle enough to insult other practices, without people noticing they did that.

Which in my opinion, destroys the purpose of answering them honestly.

It's a conflict avoidance behavior. Maybe appropriate for a lecture in a Santa Monica bookstore off the famous promenade, where you don't want disillusioned religious people shouting at you.

With Carlos in private classes, there wasn't so much to worry about. Anyone shouting would have been tossed out by Kylie, and the front door locked by Nyei.

Of Buddhism Carlos once said "So you become perfect? Perfect for what???"

He asked that directly of the 3 or 4 visiting Eurobuddhists, who he kindly let into private classes when they came for a workshop in LA.

Despite their obvious belief that they were intellectually superior to him.

His theory was, they've proven they're willing to do daily work. So how could he ignore such a resource if he was serious about passing this knowledge on?

But as wise as what he said about "perfection" was, they couldn't comprehend it.

No one can until they've become someone else over and over again and traveled to realms that can't even be described, where being human is meaningless.

You have to see such a thing perhaps dozens of times before you understand his "perfect for what?" question.

Last night around 2AM for example, I was three separate people at the same time. Perhaps from various points in my life.

Not asleep! Fully awake, looking directly at each one in detail, floating in front of me while my eyes were open.

Avoid practicing with your eyes closed unless you want to fall asleep, have a simple sleeping dream, and then confuse yourself into thinking that's sorcery.

That's how nearly all outside systems work. They bore you to death in a situation where eventually you'll doze off and have an obsessive dream about what you were practicing and what you were told would happen.

My "vision" was experienced awake, and was a bit like that mushroom people trick Little Smoke could do for Carlos.

Except there was nothing symbolic. I was clearly looking at each version of myself. But also at the essence of their moods and behavior.

After examining each, I was ashamed. I didn't like any of them...

Except the hair on the younger versions.

The green zone makes you feel "enlightened", "complete", and in touch with heavenly knowledge. It produces a feeling of "belonging", much as insects belong to their hive.

Our goal is the purple zone.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a green zone for Gerbils.

And every other living creature. Created by their own kind.

The faster a beginner can pass on to the red zone, the better for their progress.

LATER, you might be called upon to go back and explore the green zone. If it's your job in some odd way.

Sorcery lineages had seers with speciality jobs, over the ages.

I'm hoping we can do that one day. Ask specific people, to explore specific topics of interest to our entire community.

One or two or those speciality seers discovered how to view the source of everything. That which owns the emanations, and creates living beings as encapsulated awareness.

It's not "God". God is back up in that green zone. Along with heaven. You can learn to visit both of those, daily. And you don't have to leave the green zone! Just shift far, far to the left.

What those seers saw when they tried to see the source of it all, resembled a Giant Eagle a tiny bit.

And as a result all future sorcerers became unable to see anything else, but an indifferent Eagle which devours our awareness when we die.

Their visualization of what was really there, something impossible to describe in this reality, turned the incomprehensible into some kind of silly animal totem. Based on their pointless shamanistic tendencies.

It even infected our own leaders, who started having "Animal Totem" workshops because they couldn't get the real magic to work at all.

I just hope that if some of our own tried to see the source of the emanations, they wouldn't see "Jesus" behind everything. Bleeding on his cross, sucking up awareness from the dead.

But I suppose an Eagle was better than an Evil Clown!

That's the danger of visualization.

Look at what's happened to many religions with their "hierarchy of heaven" maps. None of which are even slightly true.

Despite the fact that now that they made those maps, you can go visit each of their fantasy "higher beings".

Thank you a lot, so basically is just watching, I feel uncomfortable when I'm in that state, I think that's because I begin to stop the internal dialogue, it's a weirds sensation honestly.

So do Tensegrity while forcing it off.

That lures your double to come out, for reasons which don't become obvious until you spend some time in that "purple zone" at the end of the J curve.

Where your assemblage point comes into alignment with that of your double.

This video was created before "the evil rise of AI", and so it has other languages, which are utterly useless these days.

I was watching Japanese animations last night, which were auto-translated by AI. It even seemed to keep consistent voices for the characters. So we can expect lots of foreign content on YouTube, in the upcoming years.

But it wasn't around back then, and thus this video got mangled by the addition of other languages. But it still shows very accurately what you can learn to do yourself.

It's not a theory. It's our goal!

And yes, you can LITERALLY walk through a solid wall, just like at the end of this animation.

However... It's possible you need either an Ally, or a witch, to do that.

I've never managed to walk through a solid wall, without one of those helping me.

That doesn't mean you can't go elsewhere during darkroom practice. It just means, as far as "in your face" violations of physics, it might take 2 aware beings to pull it off.

Without the second one, you just have to settle for teleporting directly to the other location.

Like the post from a day or two ago.
