"A warrior always tries to affect the force of doing by changing it into not-doing."

" Doing would be to leave the pebble lying around because it is merely a small rock. Not-doing would be to proceed with that pebble as if it were something far beyond a mere rock. "

Im a few years before a re-read, a few years after my first read. How does not proceed with the pebble as if it were more - and how would one do this with everything with an active life?

One aspect of not doing is to change your perception of the doing. The doings of our regular life can still go on as usual, but the game of perception will change the purpose in hopes to see that life is not only what we think it is. We need an ulterior purpose

Finding the balance between novelty and survival - hell finding even the intuitive/mental ability to do what is novel, is difficult to cultivate
