It’s a common saying when one goes to sleep for the night or has a afternoon nap, time to re-charge those batteries!
Today as I went to catch a quick nap myself the concept popped into my head how close to the realization of our true nature as humans beings are, that of being energetic beings.
Carlos stated that we (sorcerers) get much of our energy from the second attention or the dreaming realm. In our regular first attention life humans will die without sleep, literally die!
Why is this, simple biology that our body needs to sleep to re-charge those batteries, to clean out our system of toxins, allow our muscles to heal and grow, to re organize those brain waves from alpha to delta back to alpha again?
We need sleep or we die and at the same time sorcery dictates the energy we need to perceive the first attention stems from the second attention or our dreaming body... how very close to this realization of the transitional state of awareness, of being awake are we as a species.
Unfortunately we stumble around in our daily lives and crawl into bed because our body will literally die without sleep, something we spend a great deal of our lives doing. As if this time couldn’t be better spent being awake accomplishing things!!!
How close we are to realizing that this time should be reversed and how sleep is actually the natural state our bodies strive to exist upon, we are literally wasting our time being awake!
Or our we wasting that time, is it the natural state of the waking sleep cycle which is actually a catalyst to pushing our awareness towards the basic understanding that our perception is dependent upon the energy we derive from our second attention.
I mean it’s literally slapping us in the face every single day... yawn!

Don't forget that ALL living things sleep (probably inorganic beings also). The larger the organism the less they tend to sleep. Giraffes sleep for 30 minutes a day. Some studies even show evidence that microbes have a circadian cycle, where they at least slow down for a while.
So since all living things sleep, and are perceivers, and have an A.P., the energy body fatigue comes from the activity of assembling that species singular perception. A sorcerer, anyone who can "sleep" and assemble another view or focus on another aspect of that singular view, and remain conscious, is still letting the energy body recharge...the real cause of the need to sleep.
Rest is different from sleep. Cellular activity never completely stops, it's capable of continuous function (some jellyfish are basically immortal), it just needs chemical energy. A unopened can of soda placed in the mouth of the severed and very "dead" head of some species of eels, will activate an autonomic response and clamp down with enough force to rupture the can.
What I'm getting at is that our biological bodies are almost independent of us, and not what causes the need for sleep.
Numerous marine species never stop swimming, even when asleep. If it's our biological bodies that are the root cause for the need for sleep, then you'd think a huge organism like a Giraffe or Blue Whale would need more because of the effort of moving their huge mass around.
I'll get back to you if I still think this way when I'm 95! Though it's been proven that if you're a healthy 95, you actually need less sleep than a healthy 35 year old.
Then there's this guy:

Thái Ngọc
Thái Ngọc (born 1942) is a Vietnamese insomniac. According to Vietnamese news organization Thanh Niên, he is best known for his claim of being awake for 46 years. Thanh Niên also claimed that Ngoc acquired the ability to go without sleep after a bout of fever in 1973, but according to the Vietnam Investment Review, there was no apparent cause. At the time of the Thanh Niên report, Ngoc suffered from no apparent ill effect other than being unable to sleep. He was mentally sound and carried two 50 kg (110 lb) sacks of pig feed down a 5 km (3.1 mi) road every day.In October 2006, however, Ngoc reported that he was beginning to feel "like a plant without water" due to the lack of sleep.

I have heard that once the energy body is truly activated, and developed. And blockages overcome, a human being who normally sleeps 8 hours will be able to function perfectly at 4 hours.
And honestly, I used to date a girl that was a lawyer, and she could function at a very high level intellectually with barely any sleep. Considering how successful she was in al her doings I was very impressed with how little sleep she would get.
Me on the other hand, 8 hours never seemed like enough, and I would even have to take naps throughout the day. During periods of excitement and changes in life I found that I could sleep less and function so well. But when the depression of mundan life and routine set in I would just work, work, and then sleep sleep.
I recall Tesla was probably one of those rare individuals who naturally had his energy flowing correctly, and barely Anny blockages. He naturally had the ability to view “the wall” at s young age and throughout his life. And it was no wonder he slept 2-4 hours a night.
>He naturally had the ability to view “the wall” at s young age and throughout his life.
Edison reported something similar. He could see his inventions before he made them.
I do that too, I’m an engineer. There's no better inventor than the second attention.
Einstein conducted what he called, “thought experiments”, and was found to have LSD in his system when his brain was examined after death.
Feynman also partook of LSD.
Freud existed in (delusional?) heightened awareness most of the time (cocaine). We also get our theory of evolution from cocaine, or so I’ve been told.
As for going without sleep, you certainly will hallucinate. I can’t explain the Vietnamese guy, but if you don’t sleep the assemblage point is absolutely going to shift. It’s held in place only by our regular habits.
If it shifts, you are asleep. Sleep walking perhaps, but still technically asleep according to don Juan. I can attest to the ability to be asleep without knowing it. I’ve done it quite a few times.
I just connected the dots about what you call the wall and why you say its like a terminal. I thought its the colors above all, but for me it starts as body sensation - however its not in the body (lol) - its like something is attached to the front of the chest and abs.
I always felt that the colors is somehow seeing inside just like you suggest . So when i get silent and tap at it i get these hypnagogic images however they dont transfer into a dream. Once i get a good hold on the wall i cant sleep(just figured that), and i cant "disconnect" even when my dialogue runs rampant - this makes me very tired. For sure there must be a way around that . Knowing that not sleeping aint the worst thing helps too (it scared me). I had a "dream" that i cant shake off for a decade - now i realize it started with the wall and then i maybe dove into it , maybe the gap was reduced - these things are very abstract yet very concrete - strange things happened but most of all it was like returning back to my real self
Good progress.
Keep in mind that seeing is not at all what we expect. Or rather, sometimes it is but not most of the time. Usually it feels pretty ordinary, but when you try to explain what you figured out, it makes no sense to anyone else.
What you described is all seeing.
Not sleeping? Typically looking at the wall for too long moves you into some form of heightened awareness, which is why you can get "energized" while practicing silence in darkness.
I don't use Zuleica's "crib", or even La Gorda's leg lingerie, because the crib is for when you are already in Heightened Awareness, and thus won't fall asleep too easily. And you also can't walk around in those weird pajamas.
So those of you copying Zuleica, forget about the crib and fuzzy stuff until you can get into heightened awareness first, which might be years. Instead, sit on the bed or whatever, get silent, then walk around looking at colors, so you don't doze off. You'll know when it's ok to go back to sitting because you'll be so wired, it's like 5 cups of coffee.
But it can also produce disruptions in what you consider your "normal" behavior. You're interpreting it as something bad, likely because the internal dialogue is fighting back.
Or not. But just to warn others, the internal dialogue is known to:
Tell you that God doesn't like you to be silent, it's unnatural.
Tell you that you'll be too lonely, without your own lovely voice talking to you all the time.
Tell you that you won't be able to decide between chocolate and vanilla ice-cream, if you don't keep your faithful friend around to help you decide.
This is a new one to me. It's telling you that you're tired.
Grab one that looks like a "being", and turn it into an Ally. I suspect it'll always work, but the trouble is grabbing one.
However if you grab one and can't do anything with it, that'll be good for all of us to know. In that case, I'll have to figure out how to introduce you to Carlos' allies.
There's 2. I don't know what happened to the other 2, maybe they went to other people.
Of the 2, only one seems to like to hang out with people who are awake. I've seen them switch places in dreaming, when I get lucid. The one normally around runs and hides and the other becomes predominate. If both are present while you are awake, perhaps because you are in heightened awareness and thus technically "asleep", the one that doesn't like waking energy hides behind the other, but you can still see part of him.
Edited: three times
You got me in tears laughing. Great one!
