Lose everything and live a monastic life or find 'reality' in your own back yard?

Hitting it home sometimes seems harder. What if we live a small life, but find big changes difficult?

Better than finding a monastery in your backyard.

Let go of the demands of the self and you will fear nothing. Except maybe a hungry lion!
Also, permanent changes usually unfold over time. The sudden ones don't always take. But there are many exceptions.

Must combine both for brain integration.

Both hemispheres being used in problem solving; kind of a pop-psy term but has some research base as well.

You could find reality in your own backyard. Of course! Twilight gazing, midnight gazing, and such.
Gait of power in loops.
Ok, I'm too lazy for that, but it brings the ankles up near the second attention's assemblage point. Maybe better to just learn to pull your head down to your ankles through stretching. You could set up a stretching post.
Plus stretching redeploys energy, and if you are sensitive you'll "get lucky".
Also, if you learn to get silent, you could scan the ground for activity. It's rather entertaining once you can see, even if it's crummy seeing.
As it turns out, we can pick up intent. Artifacts under the ground look like a sparkle of white light. A fleeting one, that's perfectly in focus, so it can't be "real".
The cover to Wheel of Time is actually a technique you could try. The stretched arms pandiculate to redeploy energy, and the upwards gaze activates the second attention.
So sky gazing is another technique you can do in your backyard.

There might be a "morning" gazing!
The guy (I imagine it's a guy; he writes under a pseudonym.) that I mentioned to you in the last email in his book, Accelerated Healing (by PS Power), talks about looking up at the sky in the morning, regardless of weather for ten minutes in the morning (45 degrees away from the sun). The light is supposed to make you get rid of the melatonin and give you a boost. I've only tried it for a minute or three.
And the Isochronic Tones (audio entrainment) he mentioned to learn to be quiet (they are supposed to be better than Bob Monroe's Binaural Beats as you don't need to wear headphones) while awake seems to work for me a bit - It's a lot easier for me to be silent while awake when I listen to them. You can get Isochronic Tones for free at, http://www.iso-tones.com/index.php/tones

The kungfu people use the morning light.
And they emphasize being "empty".
