That's the only way I've had success; keeping aware as I watch my body fall asleep.

Am sure you have got alot of sleep paralysis

Would that be a problem

Yes, for a beginner.

Don't panic. You can still "roll" a little at the stomach or hips. Not sure which. Haven't been paralyzed for years.

Infants can't yet can't thrash around, but they can roll a bit and turn themselves over. So rolling is a basic protection against creature bites and such.

During sleep paralysis, you can always rock a little. Very little. Not enough to wake up.

But if you keep it up, it'll be more and more, until you turn halfway over, and can escape.

If you sense the "prince of darkness" while paralyzed, that's a good thing!

You have an inorganic being interested in you. Tell it that you love it. Don't be afraid.

If you practice dreaming in a chair, make sure it has sides, so you can roll to escape, without falling to the floor and hurting yourself.

Trick #1: Talk like this in here, as if all this were normal.

It combats "counter intent".

I suspect women are less susceptible to counter intent, but I can't prove it yet.

Sure!!! There's even an institute studying how for you.

Lucid dreaming institute.

But they're hampered by the very oppressive university system, so they're only studying baby steps. No waking dreaming studies yet, as far as I know. They'd get lynched for that.

One technique seems to have emerged from scientific studies. One way to increase lucid dreaming.

And you hit on it! Except, it can't be done with one time.

You have to go around all day long, asking yourself, "Am I dreaming right now?"

Then pinch yourself. Or try to read something, to make sure it doesn't change.

Doing this all day will make it an ordinary thing with you, like washing your hands.

Occasionally you dream about washing your hands, because it's a normal thing to do.

But if you dream about "Am I dreaming now?", and test it, the test will fail.

Shit, you are dreaming!!!

You can't imagine the thrill of being absolutely certain you aren't dreaming, but going through the motions anyway.

And you find out, damn!!! You were dreaming.

But the thrill quickly turns to embarrassment. Shame even.

At that point, rationality comes in and you realize, you were in your living room and a giraffe was eating the couch. And it was pooping out colorful candy.

And you didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

But don't despair! Look around. If there's a Jamaican guy in the corner, he's an inorganic being. Go talk to him.

Warning: time sensitive cultural reference there...

Or another example, that I really witnessed.

You're on the toilet, and notice you have that toilet paper with jokes on it.

Now forget that it was your girlfriend from 20 years ago who liked joke toilet paper, and you wouldn't be caught dead with it. Or her anymore.

But everything seems normal, until you look at the paper and it has personalized messages on it.

There's a case where you didn't need to test it. Something else alerted you that you were dreaming.

If that happens, don't get up. Read all the messages. Even pee if that helps keep the dream going.

But you will in fact wet the bed in most cases. Dreams about being on the toilet are typically a sign that you're in need of bladder relief.

Which is also a good trigger to realize you are dreaming. If you find yourself peeing for too long, an impossible length of time, you're in a dream.

My favorite test is to jump up, and see how much it hurts when you land.

But you can't go around jumping up all day. Unless you have a cap with eagle feathers.

Then people figure you're screwy but harmless, and will put up with odd behavior.

I usually have the best pees while I’m dreaming, lol🤣🤣🤣

Maybe that's a good technique. Anytime you go pee, ask yourself if you're dreaming.

If it keeps going too long, you'll know you are.

Didn't someone mention that don Juan actually told Carlos to look at his dick in dreaming, and not his hands?

Didn't someone mention that don Juan actually told Carlos to look at his dick in dreaming, and not his hands?

Yep. But his publishing editor suggested he change it.

The two would be intrinsically different, in the effect they produce.

One subtext in all of Carlos' books is that men tend to want to have sex with inorganic beings, and in dreaming.

It's true. I can verify it.

(Not by having done this.)

Once in a while I'll teach someone to do lucid dreaming. And then I get back,

"Had great success last night. I got lucid, grabbed the nearest woman, and raped her over and over."

It's worse for me when the student is gay.

But for the men, here's a tip.

Whatever is your worst perversion, you can have in dreaming.

Just learn to find inorganics, and then force them to take on whatever shape you like.

What happens if you rape someone?

They have all the same expressions and reactions as the real thing, except that they almost instantly give in.

What happens there is, inorganic beings really don't get us. They just like our warmth.

It's "cold" (slow) over there.

So if you want to rape them, they'll react to that in the appropriate way, to keep the interaction going.

But once you get into it, they switch to whatever feeling you have now.

If you're actually not so evil, it'll be passion.

You could start out raping them, then suddenly switch to reading Harry Potter books to them.

They'd change to sitting cross legged, as is appropriate for listening to someone reading Harry Potter. I wouldn't be surprised at all if their clothing even changed, to look like an elementary school student.

This is the reason there's an account in Carlos' books, of someone having to be pulled from their home because they were wasting away, playing with the inorganics.

For instance, if Cholita finally leaves, I can ask my fairy to turn into Cholita, washing dishes in the kitchen, in just an apron.

She'd do it.

Cholita won't. I've hinted. I got smacked later on.

And a warning. I've been told to be celibate by Carlos, so I've gotten used to playing around with asian bar girls.

Sometimes I get the "what's wrong honey, can't we just take our time and figure out what's wrong?"

But from the hostesses, who can't go home with anyone because they're too young, I get no issues.

I made a copy of one I met in Soy Cowboy II, using an inorganic being.

She looked perfect! And she became my sidekick for at least 15 minutes in that dream.

Except that, she eventually sprouted a metal bolt from her neck, like Frankenstein.

I have to say, it actually wasn't a bad look for her.

I’m sure it was probably easier for CC.

Shit I should give that a go!

If you do, then try to change dreaming characters by pointing your ...l at them, instead of your finger.

Except, maybe they can bite.

The trick that works for me to enter a dreaming state is when I’m already dreaming I catch hold of something that draws my attention long enough to fix my assemblage.
I then either I find my hands or feet but this really depends upon my energy levels.
This is a command you must will yourself to do, like if you were to will your leg to kick the air.
If I do find my extremities I try to move my attention back to the environment then back to my feet or hands.
Again depending upon energy.

I oddly enough have an easier time moving from place to place using will power ( spider-man type web shooter thing that comes from a feeling in your gut). But since I rarely have the energy to find my hands I loose attention fast and fall back into regular dreaming.

So yes command that attention.
