Is this about losing the human form?

To some extent. But maybe to the sorcery practice in general. The more we unlearn our usual self with silence and other practices, the more we get in touch with our true nature. And from that perspective our existince which we live our usual lives in start to look no longer appealing. Or even unbearable.

The old seers believed their "true nature" to be whatever position of the assemblage point accorded them most power. But of course it was just another position of the assemblage point, it didn't lead to freedom.
I'm not sure what true nature would amount to in the Toltec teachings. To find the totality of oneself? Or at least start getting in touch with the energy body?

I would guess that both. And getting in touch with our true mind also.

true mind

The mind that is searching is the mind that is sought. There aren't two minds.

Well, Carlos told that differently in the "Active Side..". But yes, I think it is the mind without the "little man".
