Carlos was a poor student who made it rich because he had a talent for writing.
Many people believe he made up his stories by cross referencing local mythology and native traditions.
I suppose those people never read any of his books or just the first one. I have always believed Carlos was either the greatest fantasy writer in history or he was simply telling his story as it happened.
No one who reads the stories of Carlos Castaneda would ever consider him a god.
However people who take his instructions seriously can learn a new perception so far above that of an ordinary man you could easily be mistaken for one.
Ahh the elusive goal to rule the world.

The Buddha was a sorcerer.
Like Carlos.
Like people used to be, before something went wrong with our world.
The idea of God is part of what went wrong.
Anyway, Carlos and God were old friends.
It's not that difficult to visit God for real.
Just be sure to ask for something. You're allowed.
