It's evening, it's already dark. I'm going from workout. On the go, I practice stopping the internal dialogue. When there are 10 meters left to the crossroad, I see a luminous ball flying along a perpendicular street. At first I thought it was the light from the headlights of the car that got into my eyes. But there are no cars around. Ball flies horizontally at a height of 5 meters.
I run after him, because he will soon disappear into the trees. I blink and move my eyes, but nothing changes in the shape of the ball. It looks like an object. Having reached the crossroads, I see how he flies up to the house and "dissolves". Walking around, I did not find it.
My friend-practitioner told me about such cases, he saw the same "balls" only hovering in the air a few meters above the ground.

Amazing! how fast was it going?
The wonders of forcing silence. The second attention loves taking charge of those situations.
That was 15 years ago. The whole event lasted about 20 seconds. The speed of the "ball" was about 50 km/h. It flew evenly and horizontally. The weather was clear. Along the way, I was able to do some manipulations to understand that this is not a spot on the eye print. The "ball of light" was perceived as a real object in the air, not as an illusion or imaginary in the mind.
Absolutely! The second attention is 100% real!
If it is perceived as something imaginary, then the assemblage point did not move enough.
In the dark room you could learn to find these balls of light daily!! And lot of wonderful stuff more.
The dark room is a deprivation room. Find out how Robert Monroe used it. This is good practice, but not absolute. It looked different from Zuleika, as well as the search for "spots of color" in books 1 and 3. But there are many other practices. Why ignore them?
We are open to all practices!! But we found that darkroom produces the fastest results. If you find a way to move the AP fast, please tell us!
I practiced lucid dreaming for 7 years, and didnt learn sorcery at all. I coulnd do the gates, in 7 years!
And with the Darkroom, Ive been practicing for 3 months, and I can move my AP daily! Isnt that wonderful for you?
Still I need to learn a lot, but it is progressing fast!
Everything needs to be done methodically. Then there will be no such confusion. And there will be results and understanding.
Lucid dreaming is the task of the first gate of dreaming. Of course you will find nothing there but imagination and projections of the mind. But this has its own value that needs to be developed. There are other levels beyond the lucid dreaming level. The most obvious is getting out of the body. This is one of the most safest ways to move the assemblage point.
What a danger is hidden in the practice of a dark room: you become sleepwalkers if you break the rhythms of the brain. Etc. there are many things that can become a trap.
True. But the later gates are not simply ordinary dreams, but other extant world's/realities accessed through dreaming.
You can't bypass the first stages. Even B.B. King probably wasn't very good with a guitar the first few months he started playing.
Buy he certainly didn't let that stop him.
When ordinary dreams disappear and they return to vivid and stable dreams, lucid dreams become the norm - then we can say that we have moved to controlled dreams. This is the second step. And here, having begun to change dreams, we can get into a new state of dreaming, and...
Which book does Monroe talk about deprivation rooms? I haven’t read them in a while and I’m forgetting him speaking on that
He talk about this in 2 and 3 books. But for the most part, this is the work of his institute in those years. As for practice, read his first book. It contains the correct information. If you do not believe that this has any connection with the dreaming, here is a quote from the 6th book of Castaneda:
- Dreaming is naturally a way of storing the second attention.
- The last generalized task he gave me was to get out of my body. I had partially succeeded, and all along I had considered it my only real accomplishment in dreaming.
Ah you’re talking about the rooms at TMI I’m guessing. I would love to visit some day. Yeah I read all 3 books back to back. It had me hooked. He was a true pioneer of the west.
The last point confuses me though. While dreaming, aren’t you technically already out of body?
I divide lucid dreams from out-of-body experiences - because they are different states. But few people know how to distinguish them and how to practice them separately.
Formally, we are in a dream, because the body "sleeps" on the bed. But consciousness can shift to 4 levels of perception - 4 types of dreaming: lucid dreams, controlled dreams, dreams of awakening, out-of-body experience. The dream body begins to peek out of the physical body at the second level - where the dream is stable and we have awareness, where we control our decisions and make our choice of actions. How check this? Collapse the state of this dream. You will find yourself partially separated from the physical body. Somewhere here you will find vibrations. Then look at your hands - they should be transparent like hot air (slightly illuminated at night). This is your pure dream body. This is the first real step towards the energy body and a way to control the movement of the assemblage point when going into sleep.
I can tell you everything in detail about this from the methodological practice and statistics of hundreds of people who have received results, but I do not speak English for writing a text, so I can not accurately formulate these things.
What is the difference between controlled dreams and dreams of awakening?
Controlled dreaming - has many looks; everything is stable and clear here. It is very realistic and it is no possible to change everything at will with the help of imagination. This is where you control yourself and your actions. One might think that these are real travels, but they often based on memory and archetypal forms.
A wake-up dreaming is when you wake up in some world. This is usually our ordinary world with some differences; as if alternative worlds. You can wake up in a different era. It's like a false awakening, but here you are aware what is in a dream. This type of dreaming is often confused with an out-of-body experience. But in an out-of-body experience - you ALWAYS separate from the physical body with vibrations and see it on the bed, in this type - you just wake up as usual (no separation, etc.), but in a dream. Example: you wake up and realize that in this world you have a dog, otherwise everything is like the real world ... frightening experience, as if you woke up in some kind of parallel "I am".
WIll you say more?
Of course, but the problem of language remains - I cannot declare information in detail and accurately :(
Write in your native language and I can use google translate. I don't mind.
I can attach a book about a dream, it is for the year 2004-2010 (issued in 2012), it contains basic information. Today I revised and improved a lot, but the basic principles remained the same.
About types of dreaming (google translation):
A vivid dream is an ordinary dream in which the level of experiences is so high that it is not a problem to remember it in the morning. Such a recalled dream is not a "lucid dream", but at the peak of the experience it can create the conditions for the emergence of self-awareness.
A lucid dream (lucid dream) is a state in which you understand where you are and have self-awareness. Active imagination prevails as a creative impulse and mental production as a building material for the content of a dream; therefore, this type of experience is often compared to an interactive "mental constructor".
A controlled dream is a stable dream in which self-awareness is present, but the perceived is not controlled by the imagination and does not demonstrate a direct intervention of thinking in the construction of space as an integral field of interaction between elements of the dream content. This type of dream is divided into three subtypes: archetypal, other "worlds" in the form of interactive stories, synthesized from memory.
A waking dream is a dream that begins with the act of waking up (not necessarily in your own bedroom). It differs from "false awakening" in that here you are aware of the state in which you find yourself.
Dreaming outside the body (out-of-body experience) is characterized by a clear set of signs, when there is a literally perceived separation from the physical body in the “second body” and entering the “second state” as closely as possible combined with the world of reality, where the sleeping body is located (therefore, the situation always coincides, time of day, body on bed, etc.).
For controlled dreaming, the main subtypes are:
a) Archetypal plots - completed constructions in a dream of extreme realism affecting mythological motives. Can be seen as a collision with the "knots" of the collective memory of the human species. For example, mythologemes are played out: a planetary catastrophe, an exit from caves to green fields, a journey to the "tree of life", meeting and learning from a sage, etc.
b) Interactive stories - stable plot lines that are imposed on the dream stream in the form of fantastic stories with a mythical shade, where the dreamer is the main character. Characterized by interactivity within the scenario of the story being played out and the rules of the world in which you are. In other words, these are stable stories based on classic plots like: a pandemic, a trip into space, an invasion, entering a foreign unusual country, etc.
c) Variations from memory - dreams, in which the dream space is built according to the samples of the real world, from the memory of the dreamer. Usually these are variations on the theme of the usual life - the past, present and even the future. Also, this sublevel is often combined with the previous one, when an unusual story unfolds in familiar places in real life. For example, you leave the house, and the invasion of aliens begins.

They aren't being ignored. Darkroom practice is just being prioritized because of it's potential and broad utility.
Once enough are proficient, it will naturally feed into cooler and cooler stuff.
Focus. Scattered attention is the malady of this internet/media age. Focus is the solution:
"I fear not the man who practiced 10,000 kicks once, I fear the man who practiced one kick 10,000 times."

A wise man can take more from a stupid question than a fool can take from a wise answer. - Bruce Lee
Castaneda is a tradition, so wee need integral understanding.
Very cool experience. Ever heard of the CE-5 protocol? There is more to it than aliens.
Some of these orbs appear as flat blobs that don't cast light. More illusory than yours. Some of your friends will see it, some won't. These orbs may or may not be captured on film in the visible spectrum.
This is textbook example of dreaming together. A group of dark room practitioners could pull this off easily. Maybe this is how magic will be bought back?
This is what we are looking for here. Wonder.
And honesty.
It's good :)
Ball of light, was the OP title of this post. And the content was:
