La Gorda on losing the human form and “the eye that pulls you into dreaming,”. Interesting to note she mentions you don’t have to be asleep to go into dreaming.

I told it to take a hike. Get lost. Don't want it.
And it did! Flew away as I recall.
But it still tries to come back on occasion.
Since I'm not formless and still see that eye, does that mean I'm retarded or something?

> I told it to take a hike. Get lost. Don't want it.
What's wrong with it? Or rather why wouldn't you prefer to have it around?
> Since I'm not formless and still see that eye, does that mean I'm retarded or something?
Just senile haha

I don't like anything surprising me when I close my eyes.
Plus how creepy is that?
And no reason for it. Fancy has designed a technique even better than that eye.
I use it nightly, to try to peer through walls.

Yeah it probably would be pretty creepy at first.
Which technique? The telescope one?

Yea. Compress a ball of energy as tightly as you can, to the size of your head. Hold it in front of your eyes.
You can remove your hands, but it tends to dissipate when you aren't holding it.
What's it like? If you can manage to see the ball, still there after a minute, you don't need advice from me.
But, it's fuzzy at first. So don't be impatient. Remember, it's not what. It's how.
Just trying to do that is a huge advance in how.
It's "practical magic".
I'm afraid, Cholita might have figured out I'm doing that, and it's part of the reason she leaves the house in the middle of the night.
About the eye ball.
I suppose it sounds fun when you don't have other toys.
But once you have a bunch of choices of "weird stuff", that one blocks your sight.
So it's not a good thing if you ask me.
I think La Gorda had no choice, or she would have told it to leave too.
Analogy: You're the last man on earth. A small child walks up to you, and takes your hand.
You're happy!
Contrast that with, you're an elementary school teacher in the most crowded city on earth.
When the kid takes your hand, you start looking around for a police officer to take the kid away.

Makes perfect sense.
Also, thanks for the description of the technique, I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of it.

Careful with anything from Fancy.
I keep losing time. It's possible I have to slow down to interact with her naturally, and don't notice it.
That was Juan's theory. They become more real in dreaming because our dreaming double can adjust to their slower rate.
And when they look very real, you're 60% or more in your dreaming body.
I do keep losing a couple of hours each night. And I've been concentrating entirely on Fancy lately.

Thanks for the warning.

Is it possible there's more of a trade than we can interpret?

Probably. Especially with untested inorganic beings.
Fairy and Minx are well tested by don Juan's lineage.
Fancy not so much.
However, she teaches the darker stuff.
We need that. What we have is quite "sanitized".
Remember, Carlos learned the sanitized stuff, and then they stuck him with the death defier, to learn the bad stuff.
And also, in the beginning that's all he learned. Old seer techniques.
So if there's a bigger trade and we lose some energy, it's probably worth it.

I should mention, Fancy's "telescope" is really an idea, not a technique.
It's pretty hard to figure out exactly what they want to show you, until you do it.
She once spoke out loud, and offered to teach me, "Sliding Dreaming".
I thought I was going to slide things across to reveal dreaming scenes, and she did in fact do that for me a couple of times.
But actually, it was about horizontal shifts of the assemblage point. Where it slides along left or right, at the same level.
As for the "telescope", it turns out to mean, you can gather or find energy, and gaze through it, to increase your ability to see objects at a deeper level.
The most powerful is the swirly black and purple. When they're in yin/yang spin mode, but not necessarily in that form. It's the intense swirling.
You move it around the room using your gaze, and position it over things you want to see more deeply.
and hopefully you can intend the eye into a more abstract appearance or even just a feeling or portal

I saw an eye today but it was a reptilian eye, could it be the same one? Or no?

For the first time I saw this eye but at night. I got instantly aware and used it as a portal, I awoke though because of my excitement. Any other to see it by night or / and in between the 2 awarenesses ?

Yep, I've seen that horrible eye several times.
I told it to take a hike. Get lost. Don't want it.
