Yesterday I thought, maybe this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to become a sorcerer?
Firstly we have darkroom gazing as a powerful technique, and secondly the pandemic, which greatly limits our options, as well as interactions with others.
Maybe everybody who sees room for improvement regarding their practice should double down on their efforts?

Great stuff, thanks Techno!
Progress is a wierd thing in sorcerery.
It is not that you learn sorcery, you just unlearn everything else.
We are at different position in our lives but one thing that we have in common is that we have to work hard. Even don Juan after all his progress still needed to be work hard.
But back to your question
What you call progress doest exist.
Or one could say that progress is how much energy one has gained.
If that is what we refer to that we need to consider that we are born with different amounts of energy.
A nagual has almost double energy of ordinary humans. I can tell.
Also for some progress is how fluid they have made their AP. This is the same as how connected you are to intent.
That aspect somehow just improves as long as you work hard. Same can go for energy.
It is all connected. So yes it seems like there is progress although there isn't.
In sorcerery you will constantly have these periods with no progress then all of a sudden so much progress. Sometimes it is gradual tho.
I don't believe in progress, there is only the path you follow. Sometimes the path will make you go back and forth.
Just work like and dog. Stay ruthless and feel the connection to intent.
I believe in Dan's way, i.e. working like a dog to get somewhere. Plenty of people have dabbled with sorcery, practicing some dreaming, trying to be impeccable, and so on. It got them absolutely nowhere at the end of the day.
About DJ, consider his own life. What he went through is crazy by anyone's standards, about as tough as life can get.
There are some work like a dog don Juan quotes. He says that's the only way to make progress.
That's why I say that. I don't say things either Carlos or don Juan didn't say, unless I mark that in my text.
Or have an accident. But I'm not aware of any.
The impeccability thing killed 1000 workshop and private class students who had direct contact with Carlos.
All gone. None learned.
And it doesn't say impeccability is enough. It says, "almost".
Typically the impeccability emphasizers are doing pretend sorcery. They've convinced themselves sorcery is something else.
And they explain why they have it, by pretending to be impeccable.
However, Cholita would disagree.

What you are saying makes no sense.
The hard work is always agains the "idea of self".
DJ party were all day long battling against it, wich means they were also waking dreaming the whole day.
Only at the end of the J curve, on heightened awareness, is when you can lose the "self".
And you don't get there by waiting something to happen.
Unless you have a very clear link to Intent, wich would take a "life time", as Don Juan said, you actually need to put the time, wich is usually never less than 2-3hs for me.
And you also need to get experience with the "dreaming" thing.
By saying not to work hard you are actually damaging this community, so be careful.

Yea, it isn't so much progress as a return to original operating conditions. A restoration.
You energy body was enlivened by the change in local; being tasked with engaging different emanations.
But it wears off. And we're then back to the necessity to work like a beast.
Best is to work while the new situation is in play. Twice the benefit, twice the boost.
There's the progressive rising of our outer sheen of awareness from our toes up till it eventually covers the whole cocoon.
That progress can indeed halt and regress back down again.
Didn't you chuckle that you weren't really interested in Castaneda's sorcery, a while back?
As if you had something else better.
Or was that someone else? It's hard for me to keep track.
I just know I have 3-4 bad players in here right now.
One seems to have done a face saving post, and marched off.
Unless that person is chatting and it's not connected to my posts, so I don't see it.
Remembering their IDs escapes me.
It made me think, whoever commented they weren't really trying to learn "sorcery", well why are you in here anyway?
It's not a party. We all have better things to do than waste time reading posts by people who don't want to learn sorcery. Or who think something else is the same thing.
I personally would like to go fishing more often. I hear those king fish are biting.
And if you have such "deep" knowledge of sorcery that you can comment on double beings, why don't you share your techniques, so we can see what you're talking about.
Come on... Everyone sees through you.
It's like you're a Kali fighter, with that little knife hidden in the other hand.
Once in a while you stick it in, in the middle of an otherwise intelligent post.
that person got banned, for additionally being too disruptive
So twice in a week I got confused about who said what.
My apologies to those wrongly accused.
If Cholita were better, I'd plead with her to be the "bad guy".
She's sneaky. Given a person of interest, she knows everything about them within hours, from snooping around the net.
Except that with the Schizophrenia, their list of bad behavior evolves to include them participating in Chem trail planning.
Otherwise, she's pretty right on.
