Just a short dreaming story about IOB
Dreaming
I had a super weird dream a few months ago. It could be just a plot of my imagination and I have a very vivid imagination. So the story goes is that I’m dreaming my city, I leave a subway on a station and notice there’s a guy I know exiting on this station as well. This kind of dreams are usual thing and normally it means (and as it turned out it did as well this time) that I need to recapitulate certain things regarding this person. So anyway, nothing unusual and I wasn’t aware I was dreaming but suddenly I notice there are two kids (a boy and a girl) on the side watching at me and the whole situation. I suddenly become aware of the dream and grab the girl, I’m super pissed about her being in my dream, I grab her by the neck aggressively and scream at her: “Who are you? What are you doing here? Show yourself!” and she starts to turn into a blue light. Then something happened and she took me to her world. We’re in some sort of an office building, they work here and their work is to be orchestrators of dreams to help people (probably not only people). I asked why they do it, she replied that not everyone do that but they believe their destiny is to improve the “collective me”, the awareness of the universe through dreams. We talked a little more and suddenly I realized that I like her immensely and gave her a huge hug. We went outside to the city and she shared some details of this planet: it’s extremely close to a star (double stars?) and the time flows much slower here, because of that she’s even younger than me. The temperature on the planet is super hot - 1500K or something. Shortly after a quick stroll (flight) through the city I woke up.
I don’t know why but I felt like sharing this story. Feel free to mark it as a spoiler, it’s not like I consider it to be valuable.

Not necessary. You're not trying to treat your sleeping dream as a substitute for actual sorcery.
It's clear when someone is doing that. They're either clueless, or intentionally misrepresenting things.
Update: u/Juann2323, also a mod, is a stickler about sleeping dreaming posts. And he felt a Spoiler tag was needed. Consider it 'ex post facto' filtering.

Ohhh! Thanks for letting me know that 😅
The spoiler tag is such a cool spell!
I love how it works.
Here's the deal.
With the "blue scout" and those beings who take over your mom in dreaming, and are too dangerous for us to interact with (so they aren't ordinary IOBs), we have no idea what's out there.
I used to think the old stories of sorcerers having to wander into "the other world" were not consistent with the later books.
But now I realize, it's just a matter of perspective. Interpretations. I suppose, intent.
On the other hand, IOBs in dreams as scouts, will interact with you as you expect them to.
So your dream was "too good to be true".
And in sorcery when something is too good to be true for a beginner, it never is.
So there's no telling what you actually did, except it sure smells like IOB farts to me.
(A joke from another post).
Here's the cure for wondering:
Do it again and again and again.
Because NOW YOU CAN!!! Before you could not. But the technology to do it over and over, is available for free.
If people did their favorite "tale of power" over and over again, it would cure a lot of confusion in the Castaneda community. If people realized, nothing is meaningful until you can do it over and over, and look more carefully at what it really is.
Otherwise, if you go out and start explaining it and people get excited, you can end up with an entire religion!
I suspect that's how we got all of them.
I'm a big fan of the Jewish religion. Except one problem. There's no such thing as the kind of demons they base it on.

But, learn to do this nightly before you get too involved in what it all means.
I don't know where else to put this, because I don't feel like drawing it up.
A technique. But a bit too advanced.
Some new people (not you) like to jump all around looking for attention, and new techniques distract them from doing the basic work. They figure they can get out of the pain of trying to become silent, by jumping ahead to remote viewing on the bedspread. Having come from some OBE or Astral Travel nonsense, they feel they have a handle on that particular thing.
And they aren't actually interested in learning. They don't even realize it's all real yet. It's still pretending to them, and attention is what they seek.
And they're probably only over here, because there's real magic going on in this subreddit, while the place they come from is mostly nonsense.
Essentially, it's the same forces that destroyed the entire Castaneda community. They decided they don't need to learn to be silent, as long as they can find some other attention getting activity.
Everyone looking to impress everyone else, and no one putting in actual work.
This subreddit will be eaten alive by that, if we aren't careful.
Anyway, nothing to do with you, but you have the only post with any relation to this topic at all.
If I put this in the Jung post, his ghost might try to psychoanalyze me.
It's beyond Jung's view of esoterica.
I've been working on waking 4 gates dreaming. It started as a completely unrelated project.
Do the puffs follow your gaze? Do you really have to scoop them? Why can't you just cause them to scurry to the middle, and become your energy body?(You can.)Now it's evolved to dreams on demand. If you can shift your assemblage point to the bottom, you can summon dreams on demand. In the air. "Distant" from yourself, while you are fully lucid and awake.
Getting pulled into a dream is messy. We change bodies, and lose lucidity due to a few seconds of "amnesia" when we cross over.
But there's a spot between the red line and the orange zone, that's something in between chaos, and heightened awareness.
And filled with super sweet bliss in some new form. It makes you feel REALLY good.
Any thought you have, you can wave around with your hand and turn it into an object.
I recommend turning the internal dialogue into a suitcase like black bag so you can hold it.
Then smear off pieces on the left side of it, to attain deeper silence. When the contents spill out, you'll be amazed at the levels of silence. Or more properly, you'll be amazed that you remember being like that, as a child.
There, IOBs become easy to interact with. I even had a fairly long talk with Fancy, about helping out in this subreddit. She was quite expressive, and slowly transformed from just a little head, to a full sized woman sitting on my bed listening to my request.
Going to their world becomes easy too, when you get the assemblage point down there.
However, you have to intend it. Meaning, try it. Otherwise you'll just blow through that town at the bottom of the J curve, on the way to the orange zone.
Carlos said nothing about the position down there.
I supposed it's where Carlos was when don Juan accused him of visiting their world hundreds of times.
It's not such a big deal at that point. To visit their realm.
So the anti-Carlos crowd use that as evidence he, "went bad", the way Cloudfoot does.
Cloudfoot actually has brainwashed followers who live off the idea that "Carlos went bad". From the ones I've talked to, they're only 50% interested in Castaneda, and the other 50% is on some ego boosting fake magical activity. Perhaps that's why the idea Carlos went bad appeals to them.
Cloudfoot has a specialty audience!
It's bizarre he has any Castaneda fan followers at all, since he teaches some mental masturbation based on the idea we have "holes" in ourselves which need patching.
Using his special meditation technique.
His story is like the Running Crazy guy who's been gone from here a while. He was obsessed with the idea of "filling holes".
Maybe a Cloudfoot fan too? He sure got around.
Anyway, eventually it's very easy to do the things you're doing occasionally, and at that point you're going to decide something very interesting.
You never had a clue what was going on. You just got infected with the book deal mind and an IOB played along.
That doesn't mean it's not super cool. It just means, be careful telling such stories to newbies, who might misunderstand your experiences as being a direction they need to go.
Carlos had some of that initial misunderstanding too, when the IOBs arranged for him to do lucid dreaming once every 4 days, and don Juan told him they were just messing with him, and it wasn't important at all.
Ok, so here's the technique Fancy showed me, after our "little talk" about how she needed to help more.
.I must admit to not having made it work yet, the way she recommended. I was just so fascinated it works at all.
It's what you see on Wheel of Time. Using the arms to control the dreams you see.
Not dissimilar to swiping a cell phone picture, to get the next one
.Move assemblage point until the puffs are intensely bright, and blackness swirls around. That's near the red line.
Don't scoop them onto your body for this technique. Go ahead and scoop onto your torso to get down that far, but once you get there don't do that. Consider them your own energy you could redeploy to "build the energy body", but you want to build something else with them.
You just gently push them around in the air, like you're moving them only an inch or two, and want to see if they move on their own.
Like gently poking a kitten who's sleeping, to see if it wakes up.
You're "playing" with them.
Two hands at once. Not one hand. One puff on the left, one on the right.
Or one "disturbance" is a better way to describe what you're looking for.
Bat two of those around gently, and then separate them so that one is on the left side, one on the right side. Sitting on the bed, one is so far left you have to turn a bit to see it, and the same for the one on the right. And you can't see both at the same time.
As you bat them around, try to see dreams in them.
When you see a little, move the arm back so that it's sticking into the "dream area" on the left, and the right, and wave it gently and slowly to make the dream expand. Very little!
Don't disperse them.
You'll be sitting there with left side dreams, and right side dreams. Both fully visible at once, but not together.
Look at the left side dream, to see what's different form the right side dream.
You might begin to notice, the left sided awareness does in fact behave differently from your right side awareness.
Probably with your IOB going NUTS I might add. They can't resist that sort of activity.
Fancy was just itching to "go inside" the dreams. She wanted me to play sock puppet theater with her.
Now the bizarre part that Fancy wanted me to have. I asked for help all the time, she couldn't do it, so she introduced me to outside help.
You "push" the right side dream back to at least 12 feet away (it may be outside the walls of your room but that doesn't matter), and then you gaze at it for finer details.
Smaller dream pieces.
Don't get rid of the left sided dream. You need that for an "anchor".
In the right sided dream, which you pushed further away, writing emerges.
The text of the writing is a dream. You don't make the text, but you can read it like a teleprompter.
Carlos claimed it was help from intent.
I don't know. I saw it, and realized that's how Carlos did that, then I got obsessed with whether it would work on my hand too, his preferred place to view it.
But the instant I tried to moved it down to my hand, I got a tiny headache which signals to me these days, I ran out of dreaming energy.
Please learn to do that. Or something equally controllable and repeatable.
Then remind us about those dreams, and re-interpret them. It would be a good "inquiry", as Carlos used to call such things.
He used to give out "inquiry" assignment, but I don't think anyone noticed.
One time, I vaguely recall, someone came back with the result of the "inquiry", and related it in private class.
Carlos was trying to implant the idea that we all can actually do sorcery, instead of only discussing it.
Didn't catch on.
Sorry for the formatting. Reddit did that.

I think that's a reasonable understanding.
But I have to wonder where you got it, since no one in the Castaneda community has understanding anywhere near that.
And I don't recall it from the books.
But in waking dreaming, it comes right out and sits on the edge of the bed for you, when you get to the deep orange zone.
There's no question with waking dreaming, about how to get it into the real world.
It always works.
I believe Carlos wrote about it in Silent Knowledge, and you could read that for yourself.
But I've seen it too, multiple times.
And of course, there's Taisha's new book.
She shifted her assemblage point very far, and Zuleica had her go up into a tree to "stalk the position", so it would stay there and she could experiment with it.
The tree had "shadow beings", which are IOBs that like trees, so they don't mess much with humans. But you can perceive them, which makes them like the world's best puff of color. Stable, and don't mess with you. As long as you can see them, your assemblage point is moved very far.
I've seen Cholita's shadow being. I could have watched it all night if I had the patience and wasn't afraid Cholita would come home and catch me in her garden.
Then, once Taisha has stabilized her assemblage point, she only had to "interest" her double, by visualizing doing Kungfu on the ground.
It came out.
Same as it will do in darkroom gazing, when you are playing with the puffs in a very interesting way.
It makes an "office visit".
In my opinion, 4 gates dreaming does that by giving you panic.
It's a trick!
You go to sleep inside a dream, inside a dream.
At that point, you've stabilized dreaming, and it's slightly hard to escape it and wake up.
You "get stuck" in dreaming, and each time you think you woke up it wasn't the "real world".
You can even spend an hour in that new copy, thinking you're getting ready for work, and halfway down the road you realize you're still in the dream.
Eventually you'll find yourself in sheer terror, unable to wake up after 10 tries.
THAT'S what brings out the double.
Interest.
And all the "chances" you get to "wake up in the real copy of your bedroom", from being stuck in dreaming.
