Do you think spiritual things like tongues, prayer, worship etc are just peoples way of becoming silent?

Etc being like prophetic words, "letting the holy spirit speak through them, divination, tarot, chanting, mundras, sutras, visualization, remote viewing, ghost hand writing, among others.

It’s their way of moving the assemblage point. Inner silence is preferable over those tactics.

u/Anonomous87 1 points 2021-05-20 19:18

I'm just thinking that because typically you have to "clear your mind" in order to accomplish these feats

The double loves repetition. Like a 2-year-old.

Ritual being the most accessible form (Tensegrity can be considered, in part, as a somatic ritual).

It replaces the monotonous repetition of the inner dialogue, with another repetitive element.

Critically, it can't take you anywhere near as far as shutting off the monologue completely.

u/Anonomous87 1 points 2021-05-20 22:46

I notice that people don't typically like silence so maybe those things are just close to it

[-]
u/TechnoMagical_Intent 3 points 2021-05-20 22:48

The part of us that's doesn't like silence, because it is threatened by the promise of it, is also the part that is making us all miserable and depressed.

Peer pressure in some cases. Speaking in tongues is peer pressure.

Divination is often money motivated but of course doesn't have to be.

For others, you can use seeing in the framework of something else.

You do that by knowing the intent of the activity.

You can also summon a dream anywhere you like when you learn to move the assemblage point very low, and play around a bit in that zone.

The dream runs, like a TV someone left on.

You can put that next to anything you like, and get seeing information related to the situation.

I'd love to get someone to learn to do it with Tarot, but the problem is, once you can do that, you can do thousands of other more interesting things, and an attention or profit seeking thing like Tarot isn't as important as the other things you can do.

Some summon intent, who is an equal opportunity helper. Prayer might do that.

Then there's IOBs. Those are actual entities with their own existence, who can push with a few ounces of force.

There's no telling what you could get them to do for you.

If only I could learn to do that pear trick Anakin did for Padme.

But in answer to your question, who do you know who can get silent?

Can you show me on the net?

You seem very optimistic that people out there have actual magic going on, and it's not just the same old pretending.

I ran into 2 phony sorcerers today. The shit they put out there is so obscene, it's bizarre anyone falls for it.

They never like to hear about this subreddit.

[-]
u/Anonomous87 1 points 2021-05-20 22:44

I wouldn't be able to prove it to you but I like to take them for their word sometimes. I am only semi optimistic as if they were to offer their services to me I'd be very critical and skeptical.

[-]
u/danl999 2 points 2021-05-20 23:29

They're all fake.

If you stick around, it'll become very obvious. If you read in here.

Right now, you're suffering from the same problem everyone does at first.

You believe there's tons of "systems" out there, with their own unique magic.

Actually there's virtually none.

It's all "yoga franchises".

People looking to make an easy living by convincing others they have knowledge they don't have.

But, just stick around. If you practice, you'll see it.

Don Juan told us it was so. Carlos went looking, and told his private class it was so.

When I fell into heightened awareness and saw magic floating in the air for a few weeks, I got frantic to find someone else who could explain it to me.

I looked everywhere. Found nothing.

In fact, I got lynched most of the time, just for asking.

When people from here, go to other subreddits where we should be welcome because of the good news (magic), we get lynched each time.

Let me give you an analogy from Cholita. My witch friend.

It's about common sense. And not confusing yourself with social conditioning as you seem to have done here, trusting people by reflex.

We were talking about private classes with Carlos, and all the sexual stuff going on in the background.

None of it bothered Cholita, who seemed most offended because Carlos didn't try to have sex with her.

Carlos had us paired, but neither of us knew that at the time.

One of the most notorious women from private classes went off to a "Rinpoche", and had an affair with him, ruining his free stay in some wealthy woman's house in LA.

I was commenting to Cholita what a bastard the guy was, on his little Rinpoche throne taking gold coins and jewels, and all the time he really just wanted sex.

Cholita commented, "Men ALWAYS want sex. What's your problem with that?"

[-]
u/Anonomous87 1 points 2021-05-21 01:50

Lol about that last statement from Cholita. Although I don't completely agree with you I understand what you mean. I try to see peoples motivations behind what they do and why. Most of the time in these subs I don't see what they can gain from it monetarily (or really at all besides just basic discussion, progress tracking and just general chatting) when they help each other out and genuinely chat. I check their post histories and talk to some of them to verify their character. A lot of them are very real and authentic people.

Maybe it's not real magic or is not as effective as sorcery but I am doubtful they are pretending, based on my understanding of human psychology. I'm pretty sure even if it was real magic, it would just some lesser variation of the real thing. However until I can see I guess I'll never know

[-]
u/danl999 5 points 2021-05-21 12:35

You're actually a bit harmful to this sub at this point. We had a set of 3 "counter intent" people today, it's perplexing to me.

In your case, you don't realize what sorcery really is. You're focused on some social aspect, and being a "reasonable person".

It's fatal for learning.

You should read around to figure that out. But I'll try to give you a head start.

You can't learn sorcery. You can't memorize facts and gain insight into it. You can't join a group with a shared interest, and make any progress (unless you could get your hands on a don Juan quality lineage)

The problem is that name, "sorcery". It's not an accurate description of what were trying to learn.

A good example would be inorganic beings and how they manifest. They don't have enough overlapping emanations to produce a "real" and reliable look, so we fill in what we expect, and for most cultures that means they come out scary, like demons.

But once you learn to interact with them, as don Juan said, a sorcerer can make them take any form he desires.

What this really all means is, we light up a certain range of emanations in order to perceive the world. Other combinations are always possible, which is why sorcery is so weird.

We're trying to learn to change which range we are perceiving, like a technical skill.

But it's impossible to do by ourselves. We absolutely need help from one of 2 possible sources.

Otherwise our assemblage points will always return to this normal view of the world.

One possible source is intent. It gifts us for hard work.

But the gifts are based on what we're trying to accomplish.

So if you're a sorcerer who is also a Jehovah's witness, you'll get gifts based on both, and it becomes impossible to make any progress in sorcery. The two are not compatible.

That's a real problem for new people, because even if they aren't that messed up (to be following an obviously phony religion), they have "mini-religions" going on in their own mind.

That's your main issue.

Sorcery is so very difficult, it can't allow for any deviations or the assemblage point can't move far enough to make a difference.

The cure for that is the other way we get help.

Reality is sort of sticky. Which is why sorcerers can create entire villages to share, which don't actually exist in normal terms. Carlos called them "skimings of Phantom Intent".

It's how Carlos created a phantom copy of his compound that even people like Miles who had no familiarity with it, could fall into by accident.

Cholita made one here in our home.

Our own normal reality is merely the one billions of people have made, so it's extremely easy to get stuck in.

If you picture millions of emanations available to perceive, the ones that are already glowing are the easiest to assemble. The ones never used are very difficult to perceive, and even harder to collect into a useful bundle.

So for example, if you decided to live in a pink pony world, it's not impossible. But alone you'd never be able to accomplish it.

That's sort of what the phony sorcery teachers out there have done. Made themselves a pink pony world to live in, and they're trying to suck outsiders into it on their social media.

I suppose this is hard for a new person to understand because although this topic is covered over and over in the books, it's ignored in the community because it's not good for the phony sorcerers if people remember that issue.

Carlos was so concerned about it as he was dying, that he kept repeating over and over, "The intent of the Sorcerers of Ancient Mexico".

He quoted don Juan as saying it was the "only viable intent" we have.

And to make use of that to help us out, or more properly, to help refine the "intent gifts" we get, we can't deviate from that old seers view of things.

Can't add in believing we have a past life we've uncovered. We have a new person convinced they've got that. And it's easy to understand why people do that. To get attention. It's an easy to manufacture "experience" you can pass around in discussion groups.

Problem is, if you reincarnated then there's no eagle. No eagle, no need to recapitulate, and no reason to practice sorcery, since you'll survive death anyway, and come back as something else.

Same happens if you believe Chinese philosophy has truths that can help us learn sorcery. Each one you cling to selects a whole path that is not compatible with sorcery. In fact, sorcery is evil in Chinese philosophy, and causes harm to your soul.

Howard Lee is partly responsible for the idea that "Carlos went bad" used by phony sorcerers to justify them taking his place.

Cloudfoot (a truly crazy man) claims that. His followers all repeat, "Carlos went bad" if you try to talk them out of following that faker. They have some other book deal going in their mind, and have attached themselves to Cloudfoot to justify that they have the sorcery aspect covered, so they can focus on their Zen thing, or whatever they've added in.

Howard said "Carlos went bad" based on his Taoist beliefs.

So Chinese philosophy has caused the largest amount of damage to don Juan's teachings.

You just can't add things, or subtract things, or you won't hook on to the intent the ancient sorcerers created.

And your assemblage point won't move the way we need.

Its like train tracks. You have to get only on the very specific set of Olmec Indian tracks, or the destination is impossible.

You must not alter things, and especially not based on your internal dialogue's desire to be reasonable or fair or inclusive.

Which is just a cover for something else going on in your mind.

Some instantly get that. Others don't. I have to think that the ones who don't find that obvious, always have ulterior motives. Some book deal in the back of their mind, they hope to succeed at producing at some point in the future.

Which means they come in here, with a goal that's harmful to magic as we know it.

They're trying to produce a 1 or 2 person magic path, but we have to stick to the old seers path or we're out of luck.

As don Juan said, we have to stick to that entire path, until the very end when both old and new seers altered the shape of their luminous shell.

I believe you will find that idea actively taught against in every single fake sorcery teacher group. They're hooked on the pretending stuff, like being impeccable. Anyone can claim to be a "warrior", without having to actually learn anything at all.

One of the fake teachers I was exposed to today has "17 years as an impeccable warrior" as one of his credentials. Russian naturally. They produce some of the worst fakers. Maybe because it's harder to make a living there?

In a community where there was absolutely no magic, and that caused the reputation of Carlos go to into the toilet, so that in any non-Castaneda system his name means fraud, people pretend to be replacing him.

And they actually brag about being part of the downfall of magic!

But it doesn't even get noticed in the phony sorcerer groups. They pretend magic, instead of working for the real thing as described over and over, in the books.

Some look in here, and see the obvious magic they've been missing.

Some look in here and see things they don't like, because it points out the mistakes they've been making over and over, and they don't want to give up some imaginary goal.

But instead of going away, they hang out and harm others, trying to force their wrong understanding off on the group

If you want to avoid becoming part of a social group pretending to be following Castaneda's sorcery you need to remember his books a little more clearly and give up your socialization which has prevented your ability to perceive anything outside what you were programmed to perceive.

You have to give up the mini books deals you're carrying in your mind.

I don't really have any real attachment to other forms of "magic". I am aware that they can be propagating false teaching. It isn't so solid in my mind to where I can't remove it. I can observe without subscribing to an idea or concept and I would never force an idea on someone else here. I am just asking basic questions with no other reason than just to probe more inquiry

[-]
u/danl999 4 points 2021-05-21 17:32

Can't you go probe in a Castaneda discussion group where's there's no actual magic to harm?

There are plenty of those.

Why come here if you aren't interested and don't understand what's going on, and want to question it with your opinions?

Do you know the history of this place? Maybe you should look into it.

You can always return when you figure out what you believe, and it turns out to be compatible with this subreddit.

There's also a side subreddit for free-for-alls. But it's probably pretty empty, because it's only the obvious real magic in here that makes it attract people.

This place is unique, in all of the internet.

Or if you decide no real magic is no big deal, and talking is an acceptable substitute, then remain where people enjoy speculation.

I copy the lecture style of Carlos. Not because I try to do that, but because I watched him teach so many people, for years.

It's not my arbitrary opinions controlling what I say here.

I suppose, sometimes it is. Carlos liked to tell dirty jokes while teaching.

I can't exactly copy his, so I have to come up with my own bad jokes.

But I don't deviate for the important stuff.

And Carlos would have tossed you out of private classes already.

He did in similar cases.

I watched it.

Some even went back to attack him, one being the two who stalked and video taped him to get revenge.

Cholita has a famous story, associated with the woman who ran Blue Bird Bakery, next to the mall in west LA near the freeway.

She was on the fast track to being in the inner circle.

One of the things that can happen during the process of being accepted is, the women gift each other with clothes.

Cholita got some amazing and very expensive stuff. I was lucky to see those after 24 years. Cholita's a nomad.

The Blue Bird lady was given some shoes either by Carol, Taisha, or Florinda, or if not them, someone close to Carlos.

She looked at them and said, "I can't wear those!"

She was thrown out so fast, it made everyone's head spin.

Intent is a difficult thing. You can't have random descent in a group that's trying to learn sorcery.

Oddly, Cholita tells me the Blue Bird woman is not angry about it.

Carlos did something nice for her to make up for it.

But he couldn't afford to have her around making things harder for the other students.

In your case, lets say we decided to have a grumpy sidekick. A mascot.

How many should we have?

3000 people came through here in the last year.

2900 would love to be the grumpy sidekick, tossing in their negative opinions on things.

We have to fight off 2 or 3 each week. It's really tedious.

But this place would cease to exist if that wasn't controlled.

Learn to reach out, scoop up a puff of brilliant purple color, and place it on your stomach where it remains.

Then you can experiment with intent.

I haven't done it in a while, but I used to sit up on the bed, and pull "objects" from just behind it. I could comfortably reach my arm to the side and back, into a space between the bed and a small table.

Nothing magical about that place, except that I "expected" it was a place where I could find objects. Seemed like a "good spot", which summoned intent to help.

Intent doesn't care what you do. It helps everyone. But it helps them go the direction they believe they want to go.

It doesn't push them on a different direction.

So to manipulate it directly, as we want to do, you have to go back in time to others who could do that, and follow their lead.

In this case, don Juan and Genaro did that for Carlos, as a joke.

They were always reaching just out of his sight, to find things, "behind" another thing.

I didn't know what I'd pull out from behind the bed.

But after each object, I could understand what had influenced me to pull out that particular one, in the last few weeks of daily living.

Except the hamburgers. I couldn't blame those on someone else.

And don't forget the story of how we got trapped in these bodies.

Most Castaneda fans don't know it.

The Eagle encased a range of emanations inside us.

With an egglike structure.

That's how we were "created".

We floated around the dark sea of awareness exploring freely, with no actual body.

The Nagual Elias learned to do that, even after he got a body. So we can learn to do that again if we choose.

That bodiless awareness made a huge mistake.

As we all did.

If found the latent intent of all the people of this world, with their ideas and thoughts lighting up specific emanations.

It "ran into" that mess.

Like the smell of a huge garbage dump drifting miles into the wilderness.

It became curious, took a closer look, and got sucked into this world by the force of all of those ideas.

Where it was born.

As far as I can tell, once you get born the only escape is to die.

And after a lifetime of stupidity, dying is fatal.

You have to give back the awareness, in order to provide the Eagle with the memories of living here.

The only solution we know to that problem, is to develop some clarity while alive, and discern between what traps you here, and what could help you silence your internal dialogue, so you could get practiced at exploring reality the way Elias did.

Then, when the Eagle wants the memories you have a chance to sneak away during the process.

Carlos even promised to show me the way, if I'd just look for him at the right moment.

But there's only one known method to learn that on your own, and it's very specific.

Anything else is not going to work, because it doesn't have actual intent behind it.

Carlos warned us about this over and over as he was dying.

That there was only one viable path for us, and it was very fragile.

Which is why Techno and I are stuck being the bad guys in here.

Juann used to play "Hitler" very well, but he had to go back to college.

Techno was commenting yesterday, that we need someone younger to do that job.

It drains energy when you have to do it.

Something /u/danl999 mentioned the other day striked a chord with me...

Gist: Religions basically learned at least "some sorcery" or maybe even Jews (first real organized religion) was sorcery masters (the priests at least), and learned to "dream worlds into existence", but to make them "stronger" and last longer they created religious intent through prayer as a way to basically build a bigger shared "phantom world" ...that they collectively call heaven, maybe one called hell too if they got that far, I'm not sure if it being negative and nobody wants to go there, if it's big enough to really stay.

At least that's what I got from his diatribe on that, I might be off a bit... or missing a few things... but basically all the "dumb" ordinary (non sorcerers) just basically keep praying to essentially focus their intent and since they can't quiet their mind as good as anyone else maybe the sheer MASS number of people praying gives a larger amount of intent...

Since Christianity came from Judaism, and even Islam to an extent... that's like billions of people all sharing "intent" to keep "heaven" "real".

I don't know anybody who's returned to verify it worked, but it's an interesting idea...

Disclaimer: I'm a novice, take what I say w/ a grain of salt..just regurgitating a memory of another thread.

[-]
u/danl999 5 points 2021-05-21 13:18

You're exactly right.

They also create God through intent, as the representative of the most desirable human qualities.

By praying perhaps.

But sorcerers call it, "the mold of man".

Still, they admit it is in fact God, and you can even ask it for things when you visit.

I forgot you could do that, so God himself prompted me by saying, "What did you want to ask?"

Heaven is also a place you can visit. I've been there 3 or 4 times. It's impossible to be precise, since there are many such places you can visit.

Apparently the Nagual Elias was an expert at roaming around in reality like that.

However, in case any Catholics start to worry about all this, a problem Carlos constantly fought, God and Heaven vary between cultures.

The God Jews see is not the same as the God the Chinese or Hindus see. Neither is heaven the same.

All of those are "skimings of phantom intent".

Can you go to that phantom heaven on death, and survive there?

Carlos never answered that. He just did an imitation of himself walking around very slowly in heaven (because it's crowded?) in a toga.

He made fun of the idea that God "never changes", and called heaven a "dead world".

Of course that was a Catholic point of view, since the God of the Hindus is nothing like the God of the Jews.

He changes from culture to culture.

As for needing someone to return to verify it, you can visit!

Carlos must have visited God and Heaven hundreds of times.

A darkroom gazer with some skill will be worried about that. They've learned, we'll be lucky to get to visit one time each.

Carlos had his assemblage point pushed by the Nagual at a young age, so he had decades to play around in other worlds.

We have to drip blood from our noses forcing silence, just to get one foot outside this reality.

And we have to battle endless counter intent.
