There was a series around then when the puffs ended up in your face, or you poured them over you head.
Shouldn't there be a cleargreen web page where they show how it looks if you can see energy?
I shouldn't have to wonder what Carlos said. I should just click on a link, move to select that pass, and see how it look when you can see energy.
How did this happen?
You would think Carol would have done something about it.
Maybe the death defier doesn't want her to help, because it might weaken his escape plans? So she's just letting it go according to Reni, and not mentioning that they're screwing up badly?
Carlos gave all those lovely descriptions of what the passes do, and plenty of pantomimes in private classes, including surprised looks on his face when he "saw the puff" he just scooped up.
So it's not like they didn't know you were supposed to be able to see them.
Carlos even tried to make one himself and show it to us.
But everyone by then had decided he was "losing it" because of his illness.
Frankly, private classes were filled with predators.

Cholita... We need Cholita.
Too bad.
Shouldn't we have at least 4 private class people in here, after all that work Carlos put in to help 100 students back then? And as many as 200 attended at least a few private classes.
There's only me? How can that be?
Ralph is our best bet. If anyone feels like doing something good, locate Ralph.
Plus we'd get some more juicy gossip about who was banging whom.

YAY!!!! Finally.
There's also Cholita, Margarette's little friend. She hates that name, but hasn't given me permission to use her real one.
Cholita kicks ass. I can't begin to describe what she's capable of.
Did we know each other?
Just be assured, this stuff works exactly as Carlos said!
Even his warnings turn out to be true.
Unfortunately, the entire community is obsessed with self-reflection, and pretty much doesn't actually believe any of it.
It's like the other "magic" subreddits. No one really expects magic. They just want to fuss around with each other, to enhance their self-reflection.
Which is why you can't learn sorcery in any of them.
You have to drop self-reflection to save up enough energy of awareness, to see things outside the normal position of the assemblage point so that it moves.
You can't keep staring into the light bulb, if you want to see into the darkness.
Is it possible you could give us a lecture on "infinity theater"?
I never saw or heard about it other than the story of Grant being naked.
My understanding it, it's designed to point out the futility of self-reflection, and to motivate the awareness of the participants and the audience to look outside the normal range of emanations.
And feel free to mention anything that bothered you in the inner circle, or with Carlos or the witches.
There's knowledge there too, it's just not stuff society normally likes to think about.
Carlos omitted some of the fine details of how apprentices were handled by don Juan, possibly because people wouldn't like it.

Simple rule, known by witches through time:
Men commit to a leader or a cause, or they run the show themselves. If they run it themselves, they imagine a group that worships them, so that becomes their leader. Their public face.
Cholita claims, men search for "mommy".
But that's the same as saying they commit to a leader or cause.
Women commit with intimacy. No intimacy, no commitment. If there's no intimacy, they're still looking for where to commit.
So if you are a male sorcerer leading women, sex inevitably comes up.
And according to Cholita, it's morally wrong to expect the women to pass on sex for the rest of their lives.
But if they take on an outside relationship, it's impossible to learn sorcery because their "mate" will put a stop to it.
So there's a bunch of ugly stuff going on in the background of a lineage, if you have a Judeo/Christian point of view.
But the Judeo view was designed to further agriculture, not to be a happy life for humans.
Maybe our new private class/inner circle woman can tell us more of what was going on.
Cholita doesn't like the topic. Says I'm too prudish.
Which I am.

You may be disappointed by my answer. I never engaged into anything of that sort. I guess I didn't get that far deep in the levels. One unkept promise of the Nagual was that I was going to live with Kylie and Talia, and that was going to be when 'the fireworks would start' as he put it. It was going to happen soon, but I had a trip already planned with my parents, so when I went back, this was not in the priority list any longer. It may be possible that I would have witnessed anything if I had lived with them like it was planned. I was very late in the game so I guess I missed the golden age. There was a sense of urgency and seriousness (although Taisha was always in a good mood and only towards the end she sounded serious) that didn't leave much room for anything else.

Lily never! She's an angel.
Fancy, whenever she can.
Lily even did kawaii faces for me again, before she took me into the haunted house. Maybe she knew it was frightening in there.
I can recall 4 levels, or 4 rooms of silence.
And a mysterious 5th one I can't grasp.
But the levels of silence are actually dreaming positions.
And you can only remember them, while there.
It's sort of like there are 5 magic rooms with closed doors.
Once you close the door, you can't remember what's inside at all.
But if you open it just a crack, you can peak inside and remember it.
But Lily wouldn't let you guys down!
She wants to help us.
Like Fairy, if she teaches me something, she sort of knows what I'm going to do with it.
So here's the technique to explore the haunted mansion.
Do darkroom until you see the whitish light.
Keep going until it takes on texture.
The instant it starts to materialize objects in the air, or on the walls, go lie down.
Face south if you can. East or somewhere between if not.
I don't know if that matters, because it's a "Cholita direction" in my home.
And yesterday Cholita left "something" in the house. Something that can push on objects or make noises. It was still there this morning. It almost lured me back into the house when I left for work, but I already knew the house was empty. Cholita wasn't in there.
So you get to the point of manifesting objects, like that Olmec on the cover of Wheel of Infinity.
Lily even pointed him out to "explain", but it didn't make sense to me until just now.
So in the middle of the best possible situation to do visible magic, keep your eyes open and do darkroom laying on your side, with your eyes absolutely remaining open, and not moving your body.
Just observe and try to see all the unusual sights on the way to HA. Laying down will set you back a notch, so you try to move it forward again.
If you don't doze off right away, you're in luck. You need to drift off to sleep extremely slowly, while headed for HA.
Towards the orange zone you have a chance to enter the "haunted mansion" as if it were a real thing. With real rooms you can walk around in!
It's basically "sleeping HA".
But it's a gradual slide. You'll go in and out of being asleep.
As you go in and out of that, you'll notice the layers.
In some rooms, you are lucid.
In some, you are not.
When you go back in, you end up in the right room, for your state. Having come from the outside, in a different condition.
In some, you aren't even you. I guess it's a shapeshifter sort of situation.
But, the direct experience of each room explains it.
You'll be thinking, "I remember this! It's not like normal dreaming, it's not like lucid dreaming. It's more like a feverish dream obsession."
There were at least 5 different states of dreaming, not just the few we imagine. But I could only "see" 4 of them, when I woke in the morning.
And not including walking around waking dreaming, since you're laying on your side, halfway asleep.
I would expect this to work for women on their period.
Except any pain will put you into room #4.

I am pretty sure we met. But I am really bad with names, so without a photo, it is hard to tell.
I don't think Carlos explained the theater of infinity in detail. However, at that time, I couldn't understand everything he said because my English was not that great. So maybe he did. What I can tell you is what I got from it when they showed it (for the first time?). What you say about it is true, I would also add that it induces silence and it moves your assemblage point. When we were coming back in the car Rosa asked what we thought of it. Normally when you go see a show, you say "I liked it, I didn't, I think this character represented such and such, I think this actor was good, I felt sad, joyful, etc etc". But I was completely blank, no feelings, and no thoughts. Later Carlos asked how it went and when I told him that, he said that it was a sign that my assemblage point had moved. That that's what happens when it moves. He may have also said something about silence, but I don't recall.
Many of the acts were later shown in the LA long workshop in August 1997. I just took some photos of the printed program for each show, I need to upload it so that I can link from here. Now it would be challenge to try to create it (create new scenes, or even try to copy the old ones), and show it to people so that it has the same effect.
The other stuff is topic for a different thread.

I didn't think of embedding it with some kind of nagual intent.
I just assumed a person who had beaten self-reflection, designed it to attack specific problems in his students. But in a most ordinary way, like you'd design a script to criticize modern society by the story line.
But I suppose, a real sorcerer could even embed inorganic beings in there.
The Men of Knowledge used ritual to summon them.
So a play could also.
Or the way the old seers could make the statues walk at night.
I'll have to see if Cholita's poltergeist is still home when I get off work!
It's a new entity.
There's an opportunity waiting to be used...
Little Smoke could push on things.
But this one makes noises that sound very real, and sustained.
So far, Cholita has brought home at least 4 inorganic beings. Besides the 2 Carlos left us.
She runs away for a week or two, and comes back with a new one.
Were you there when Carlos introduced us to Little Smoke?
Cholita missed that.

That's why it would be a challenge. It is not just creating a clever script or story. I believe it would need to: 1. come from a place of silence (obviously)/from reading infinity and 2. be embedded with intent like you said.
Funny you bring this topic up. I started a theater (improvisation) class a couple of months ago and we got the assignment of making a presentation/act. I didn't know what to do, so this may give me some ideas on how to approach it.

Are you practicing at Dance Home these days? Or you're not in LA?
Some former private class people like Georgia, do a weird form of improv dancing where you fling yourself over other people.
Dance home is a potential source of "re-runs" of all of Sunday Classes. No reason to waste all that teaching.
Someone could re-run it, make notes, and publish them. Carlos did relatively the same in his later books.
I was trying to get pics of the inside, but the plague made it impossible to get in there.
You been to the Sorcerer's Cave in Malibu?
I can't find it anymore. I'm starting to think it's not on Malibu Canyon road as I believed, but rather on the next one. The one that leads up into the parks, where some of Star Trek was filmed, and they had the renaissance fair.

Yea, we used to go to those.
But this one was hidden on a terrible cliff.
You can see the cliff by looking at old movies from the 50s to the 80s.
They used to cut the brakes on cars and run them over the cliff that had the sorcerers cave right above it. As part of the storyline.
Or you'd see some black and white car speeding down the canyon.
It was just 20 miles form Hollywood, so it ended up in many movies before there was LA traffic.
You can't see the cave from the street.
I'm much too old to even try to go in there. One slip, and you die.
Carlos said La Gorda liked that cave for gazing.
