I've heard mixed things about specifics of the recapitulation process and I'd love some insight from someone who has been doing this awhile on the following questions:
How important is the crate? I don't have the supplies to make one (or really anywhere to put one in my small apartment) and am wanting to proceed without one at least just for now. Will this majorly hinder my experience?
Do you keep your eyes open or closed?
In The Eagle's Gift, it says "Once the inhalation ends, the head goes back to a relaxed position. They exhale looking straight ahead" but then it says "the next immediate breath is from left to right and its an exhalation." Do you move your head from left to right while exhaling or do you relax and look straight ahead for the exhalation?

The stated purpose of this subreddit is to aid in restoring the reputation of Carlos Castaneda and the knowledge he imparted, by pragmatically applying that knowledge IN PRACTICE. This means that we are sticking to what really works, as proven by direct experience by long-practicing members.
No low effort posting, pretending, or wasting people's time.

Especially problematic posts, ex. questions that could be answered by either practicing or by reading more posts or from the books, will be removed and users who make similar repeated posts will be banned for a minimum of 3 months. Pretend sorcery which does not emphasize silence, and is based only on thinking and mood, will not be tolerated.
Self-centered promotion, jockeying for a "top-dog" position, & grandstanding are bannable behaviors.

Persons promoting behavior over effort to get silent and the necessity to move the assemblage point, and who won't give up that activity, are likely to be banned for a minimum of ONE YEAR.
Those being overly disruptive will be temporarily or permanently banned, at the mods discretion.
