Suggestions for a Welcome Message to be sent to newly joined users (must be under 500 characters)
I don't know how useful this would be, as you can post and comment without clicking the join button, meaning the message wouldn't get sent.
It is possible (?) to create a bot that could send such a message after the first post that a new user makes even if they're not joined, but again responding to it would be voluntary. And I highly doubt a truly bad player would read the message, much less respond.
Also, it can't be mandatory in an unrestricted subreddit.
This is the start of a suggested questionnaire:
Why did you come to this subreddit?
Do you believe there's another place you can learn what's in here, and if so where is it?
Have you tried to simulate sorcery using drugs on a repeated basis?
What is your goal in here?
Which other authors or social media people do you believe will help you understand Castaneda?
Do you have any mood disorders or mental illness we should take into account when reading your comments or posts?
If they violate #2 or #5, the penalty is that they have to keep that to themselves. It's ok to be delusional, but not to try to convince others to believe your delusions.

Another last resort suggestion is that we make the subreddit restricted and then somehow, if possible, create a live chat thread that potential members can interact in where they can be publicly evaluated, and then if they pass they're allowed to join and post.
That could also be accomplished in a separate chat group, by sending the link to an interested user. That would be more private.
I don't care for either of those, and consider them last resort.
The goal is to make it so NOBODY has to waste too much of their time on potential bad players. And to achieve that through automod/bots whenever possible.
Abuse of Reddit's new account functionality has already been implemented, and can be easily refined.
