Faction \"H\" strikes again!
Were any of you surprised to hear that our magic is Olmec, not Toltec?
I suppose those statues Carlos put in his publications, made by the Olmecs, might have clued us in.
But it was Cleargreen taking people to view Olmec ruins that caused me to become aware of it.
"Olmec" means, rubber people.
And rubber comes from the sap of the rubber tree plant. Mix it with some Ipomea juice (morning glories), and you get rubber.
Keep in mind, the Toltecs aren't just the next tribe in Mexico, after the Olmecs.
They're 1300 years separated from the Olmecs.
And the Olmecs go WAY back. Officially, perhaps 4500 years depending on who you listen to.
And according to Carlos, the source of our sorcery is around 10,000 years ago.
That's still surely the Olmecs. If you study ancient history you'll already know, it's far easier to trace small populations back when the world had very few inhabitants, than it is these days.
But only more anthropological digs and discoveries will tell the truth of where our magic first started. Unless some of you get VERY good at recapitulation.
So with the entire Castaneda population completely clueless, printing "Toltec!!!!!" on everything they have for sale, how come Chakotay from the Star Trek Voyager TV series, already knew back in the 90s?
Because... Carlos was holding private classes!
It's that simple if you ask me.
Voyager first TV episode: 1995. The "find the missing shamans" episode wasn't until later in the series.
Carlos' first private class (third experiment): 1994.
In this episode, Chakotay goes looking for the "Rubber Tree People", his ancestors on the American continent.
Naturally they're magical TV shaman who can shapeshift into Hawks and fly over menacingly, when you just don't "get it".
And naturally, the word "Spirit" comes up constantly in their pseudo shamanistic TV dialogue.
But it's still the Olmecs he goes looking for.
Turns out they're aliens.

Sci-Fi nerd here: they could also control the weather. They came to Earth 15,000 years ago (ballpark) via starship, and were impressed with the humans they found, with their way of life.
(Subtext, they got it on with the natives and had some cross-species babies), while they were instructing them on ways to developed while remaining in balance with nature.
(the people in the clip you posted)
The aliens left, coming back to Earth every few hundred years to check on their progress, until on their last trip they encountered the conquistadores (invaders) and the impact that their diseases and brutality was having on their people and the land.
That's why the humans on Voyager were so ill-received when they showed up to their own homeworld 70,000 light years from Earth, 700+ years later.
I still don't like Chakotay...
He'd be a bad player in here for sure!
Can't even have a vision, without his custom technology.
Boy, the following took some digging. Apparently that particular scene didn't stick in most people's minds as much as it did in mine when I first saw it. From Season 1 Episode 6 - "The Cloud."
”My ancestors used psychoactive herbs to assist their vision quests. Now they’re no longer necessary. Our scientists have found more modern ways to facilitate the search for animal guides.“

"The Akoonah could also be used to induce lucid dreams. In 2374 Chakotay did just that, in an attempt to communicate with aliens that appeared in dreams. (VOY: "Waking Moments")"
"The concept of the akoonah proved to be highly controversial, which thrilled Jeri Taylor. She considered neither the technology nor its uses to be supernatural. Of the device, she remarked, "It's been extremely controversial, which I love. I'm delighted to stir up controversy. We are positing that maybe American Indians in the twenty-fourth century have a technology that allows them to tap into their subconscious in a safe way so that they no longer have to take drugs, fast or go to sweat lodges.""
This is the point of view that likely peeved some off, that it was all in the mind and "of man":
""Consequently, they navigate their unconscious frequently and are very much more comfortable with it than most of us. I see nothing supernatural about that. This is a man going through his unconscious, tapping into whatever is inside him that can help him navigate through his life.""
Akoonah (source article)
Unfortunately, the entire shamanism community doesn't realize how easy it is to vision quest without the drugs.
No one can even argue it's more vivid with the drugs.
They never get past the red zone, they always do a severe horizontal shift, and if you want to copy that, you can.
But nothing that happens down there is as cool as the purple zone, or the orange right before it.
I'd go recruit in the drug subreddits, but those guys are even more damaged than the Astral Travel fanatics.
Won't listen to anything, and will instantly attack.
Maybe I'll try the lucid dreaming folks again!
They won't like it. The lucid dreaming forums mostly hate the astral projection forums so they usually have strict 'no pseudoscience!' rules. On the LD sub you aren't even allowed to use the word 'astral'. They have a script that automatically removes it. Honestly it's not a great sub but it is pretty active. The main problem is that it's mostly newcomers.
The dreamviews forum is a lot more mature and less transient than the sub, but even they have a rather general official narrative which is that lucid dreaming is just playing with your subconscious to do cool things. If you have other beliefs that's fine but it's better to keep it to yourself, or only talk about it on one of the 'beyond dreaming' subforums.
But you could still entice some people, you just won't be the first that's tried. You can sometimes tell who believes in IOBs and shared dreaming even if they are trying to keep it hush hush by the way they talk.

I don't blame them. The bad players are such pests, if you allow their favorite topics you automatically have to end up banning people once in a while.
I ran into 3 horrible bad players in the shamanism subreddit. One kicked out of here a while, went there and played dumb while he continued his delusional attacks.
I decided to forget about the shamanism for a while, even though we got 4 to come over here. Too bad, I could at least teach them all about intent, second attention, assemblage point, and basic things they're clueless about.
I also ran into a particularly nasty "comrade" type, who complements and supports you as if he has advanced knowledge, then starts offering you to read his favorite things, like fire Kasina and such.
Ignores that what you posted blows away anything he knows about, and pretends that pretending itself is just as powerful.
Naturally he believed magic is all over (the first sign of someone lying his butt off), and when I insisted he should point me to a single page on the net, he pointed to 5-10, so I couldn't check it out and prove he was wrong.
When I called him on that, asking him to pick the one he's sure has magic, he changed the subject. Said it was more secret than that, and there wasn't anything I could get entry to.
The "hey, I agree with you, I'm a comrade", type is the worst.
Because ultimately you have to cause them to explode, or they take up more and more of your time. This type ends with sadness. That you "let him down" by not turning out to be as powerful as he believed (didn't agree with him). He's the type of petty tyrant who oppresses with sadness.
Getting 4 from there doesn't mean anything. Most want attention, see it's actual work, and fade away. I usually get 2 if I visit a subreddit, but I can't recall any who are still here.
The LD forum could even have former private classes members in the mods, in which case they'll stop anything that might make Carlos look like the real thing.
Here's a lesson for potential future teachers:
The guy who shows up and pretends to be a supportive comrade, is the most poisonous type of bad player.
The small fry angry guys aren't so bad, it's obvious what's up with them.
But they never give in, and never listen to your arguments. So good arguments are ineffective, because in fact they are mentally ill, and only want to fight. Go look in their history and you'll see it.
They might even be trying to medicate a bad batch of catatonia.
Cholita can fight off going catatonic, by beating up on me.
Catatonia is very painful.
I added "The Especially Devious "Supportive Comrade" Bad Player" to said section of the Wiki:

I do agree our magic line started with Olmecs but i don't deny also that Toltecs could have continue what Olmec started and developed it raising to the higher level. As for example the new seers, seeing the mistakes made by the old seers, avoiding them in the future and make it more sophisticated. I think Toltec by continuing what Olmec have started could achieve their own success in nagualism, we can not deny they are the part of our lineage too.) but its true that people were repearint Toltec only because they read it in the books of Carlos without even digging deeper and thinking who was starting this path prior to Toltecs
I know.
I just like to piss off people who deserve it. For not actually learning, and only talking about it.
There's no fliers, the Toltecs are unimportant, and there is no Santa Claus!
And there's no father frost too, for our eastern bloc people.
But the snowman who drives a very old Soviet military truck filled with gifts of holiday pineapple, and wears a bucket for a hat, is real.
Him I saw in Moscow.
I do agree....except the fliers.. Ask IOB they don't lie, they will confirm
It's not good to bring another person's intent into your practice room.
I used to merely get a bit annoyed when someone gave me a "homework" assignment.
But I usually did them.
Then I learned, you absolutely do not want another person's concerns to flow around in the air, while you are practicing.
But I'm pretty sure I'd get the answer that they were made up.
I saw Carlos do it! No one there didn't know that's what was up.
He didn't even try to do a good job of it.
Probably if we knew exactly how don Juan introduced La Catalina to Carlos, as his enemy, we'd see don Juan also not doing a good job of it, because it wasn't really true.
So either Carlos made that up, or he failed to give us a worthy opponent when the rule said we should get one.
Which is worse?
I bet they do exist because i've felt it once soo strong that i had no doubts about it anymore. My assemblage point shifted when i was just a few minutes awake through the night and it let me feel it. Strong presence of the flier's mind exactly as Carlos described in the Active side of Infinity. This being was scared to be discovered and it was super heavy and slow and when it understood i know it does exist it was absolutely silent and scared and interlan dialoge of mine, which i could not stop at that moment even for a second, was out for a minute at least...
So please don't tell me it was all made up))
Sounds like the book deal mind to me.
But of course, we don't really know.
So keep the deal going.
But you might want to learn to see inorganic beings daily, before you are so sure of yourself.
I'm swimming in them.
And no fliers out there.
I will join you soon)) I am tired to hear that IOB are bad, thats how they keep telling in eastern block.
New people:
Translation of IOBs are bad:
We can't do any magic at all, we're just pretending to be impeccable warriors so we can annoy people on social media, and feel a little bit better about ourselves.
It's just classic bad player behavior.
But might not be on my list of bad player types, since those are bad players who don't hang around in here. Their audience is outside our domain.
They're after cash mostly. But sometimes the cash is so little, you can't figure out why that motivates them.
I suppose some of them would cry themselves to sleep at night, if they couldn't lie to themselves about being sorcerers.
In the USA, they just get a prescription for that.
Could just be the heaviness of the imposed mind itself that you felt, not necessarily an extant/external being.
But we can't be entirely certain...
It could be everything that your mind can tell you now.. post facto...That night ive felt 100% this being exactly as it has been described by Carlos, that is why i was scared to death and could not fall asleep rest of the night.. i told my self that from now on i will practice twice more to get rid of it, i told myself i should warn everybody that Carlos didn't lie and it was true. But with the time passed now it seems to be a dream already and other fliers keep telling from other people's minds that they don't exist))
He did say that's how it goes. Deviousness on top of deviousness. Which we ourselves then copy via the imposed mind (patterning).
This actually hints at a possible explanation for the "Men of Knowledge" being pests in some descriptions, and actual seers in another.
Maybe there were 2 crops of Men of knowledge, that don Juan was talking about.
The old Olmec men of knowledge, and the Toltec ones.
Could explain some contradictions Techno has seen by investigating further.
