I Have No Idea What I'm Doing.. But I love It

This sub was brought to my attention a few days ago.. Either by "happenstance" or "intent"... I'm thinking intent though, because right before I discovered this sub I posted on my IG about believing in magic.

Admittedly I've been scared of the dark my whole life, so I waffled a few days on Dark Room - would I be able to follow through without freaking out?

Today I took my dog into the closet with me (the only pure dark room I have) and made it a solid 30 minutes. I know the goal is 3 hours of practice, but I'm pretty proud of 30 minutes for a first timer.

I saw a flash of a blue light, about a pin head in size, off to my side, once. Other than that, I enjoyed gazing around the small room, mouth agape, as varying depths of darkness swirled like morphing camouflage.. Or a lava lamp.

Thank you for this place and sharing this journey. I'm really excited to keep going and "see" what happens.

be careful of the "Bad players". they've been trolling like crazy here. saying derogatory things against native American Indians. and trying to gaslight people. the trolls are trying to make us appear crazy by going on long incoherent rants. there is a very bad man in here and he wants everyone to bow to him! watch out for u/stoopidengine and the others too. they are crazy.

There have been a lot of things he's said that seemed to not really be relevant contextually in the moment, but strangely have become relevant and necessary at some strange opportune time.

You never know what you need to hear or when you need to hear it. What about your own maybe less than benevolent intent?

As a followup: No one wants to 'fanboi' but also don't fuck with things because you can't really understand them

manifesting physical objects

What did you do with them?

That's a good one. It's been a long time since I laughed like that.

All in all, that doesn't sound like practitioner's answers. Maybe another subreddit would be better for you.

manifesting physical objects!

That is significantly further down the line, past the point where it's actualized that there are no physical objects.

Only a scale of signal strength, placed on the dark sea's (Eagle's) emanations.

The world we're in now having the maximum signal strength because of the billions of people that reside in it, upholding it collectively.

So, here's how it goes from here, in general:

Beginner: super excited to see the "blue dot".

Editorial comment: Damn blue dots!!! No one has figured out a use for them.

But eventually you'll be able to "cause" them. Not generate them. But you'll learn what to do, to get more of them in a specific location in the darkness.

Having seen the blue dot, you're then using your gazing powers to find more "fun".

And you've noticed some texture! Just remember, texture is not "ME", so if you keep watching it in silence, it's very good for your awareness. It makes silence easier, if you keep away from ME thoughts.

But you won't feel like you "arrived" until you have a horrible demon in front of you, your hands stuffed pull of brilliant purple light balls, and instead of being afraid you tell him he can have the energy, if he changes into something more friendly.

You'll have magic!

But, it won't change as fast from that point on. You already did the "downhill" part of the J curve. Now you're on the bottom, and you have to go uphill to get to the front.

There comes a period of fretting. You'll not only see more blue dots, but some red and white ones. And you'll curse them.

"Damn useless blue dots!!! Why do you plague me?!"

But don't worry. You'll make the uphill climb. We've all gotten greedy, and a year of time seems like forever.

Even though Carlos spent 10 years and still didn't get where many of you are.

We just expect things fast.

On the other side, almost at the top of the J curve hill, you'll begin to appreciate subtle things.

Because you'll come to realize, the flashy stuff is wonderful.

But even a tiny spec of "texture" floating in the air, is like a string attacked to something amazing.

You just have to learn to reach out with your fingers, and pull on the "textures".

You'll be back where you were right now!

I'm afraid that happens over and over, until you'll be walking along outside and something totally normal will open up an entire world of magic for you.

You'll realize, you were surrounded all along and simply choose to ignore it all!

And a strange thought will occur to you:

Darkroom is unnecessary...

After some contemplation, and if darkroom is unnecessary.. Then I do believe this is a practice I have unknowingly been working on.

Spacing out and searching the "in between" for the weird things.

The bright white whizzing energy in the sky, the nucleus-looking floater/orbs that appear out of nowhere and rain from the sky, the white and gray mists that move across the room with purpose, and the orbs that zoom past in my peripheral.

Certainly.

Children do it too.

It's common to think you have no talent, then put a bunch of work into sorcery, and start to remember what you did as a child. And suddenly you realize, you have OODLES of talent.

Monster under the bed, colors floating in the air, conscious dreams you can repeat, sleep walking.

Children are often amazingly talented. But those are considered, "broken", with "something wrong with them". They're isolated and sent for help.

Reminds me of the tendancy of children in Russia, to roll their tongue too many times with R sounds.

It's considered something you need to correct, so they get sent to a tongue therapist.

Who "cures" them of excessive trilling sounds.

Likewise, we get brainwashed out of using our natural sorcery talents.

Bottom line: Just about anything can move the assemblage point. If you notice the effect, but don't know what the assemblage point is (like Buddhists, Hindus, Daoists, and cabalists), you'll think something else is responsible.

Maybe even make up a delusional "system" based on your not understanding what happened. Since the "system" contains 1% magic, people will become obsessive about it, and you'll end up with a bunch of angry monks, thousands of years later.

Clueless angry monks, I might add.

And certainly create a bunch of unnecessary rituals, trying to reproduce magical effects you don't understand.

Best of course would be "naturally" discovering magic.

But the Olmecs went VERY far with their magic. It took them thousands of years to learn what they did.

And they even created "corridors" of magic, sucking you along the same way they went.

Our job isn't to "learn". It's to find a corridor, and get sucked along by their power.

So, can't really go that far on your own. But you can "intuit" it.
