The intention was to harden these inexperienced young troops for the rigours of military life. On the night of April 24, 1977, they were camped on a windswept plateau at Pampa Lluscuma, at a height of 12,000 feet.
In charge of the raw recruits was Corporal Armando Valdes. At 3.50am the recruit on guard duty, Pedro Rosales, saw something very odd. He called out to Valdes, who came immediately. What appeared to be two fuzzy violet lights were descending from the mountains and heading their way. The ground below was filled with an eerie glow.
Unsure if these were flares being used in a mock attack, Valdes sprang quickly into action. 'You do not know who we are or where we come from,' he said in a monotone, although later he never recalled uttering those words.
He reached the campsite, looking barely able to stand, and collapsed on the ground apparently unconscious. Having cared for him as best they could, the men waited for dawn. It was then that they noticed several very strange things about their stricken leader. Although they had seen him shave only hours earlier, he was now sporting several days' growth of beard. His watch had stopped at about 4.30am, the approximate time of his return to the camp, but the date display - which had to be wound on manually through 24 hours at a time to alter it - read April 30.
It was as if Valdes had lived through five days in under 15 minutes. Army commanders have confirmed the incident took place but say it is inexplicable. Yo soy Argentino, pais que limita con Chile, y en ese momento, en ambos paises habían dictaduras sangrientas en ellos y un conflicto limitrofe que casi llega a una guerra, por esa razón fue tan difícil el acceso para los investigadores , en este caso.

no idea I stop bother with staff I have no answer to them. we look explanations all the time and make theories but theories are just theories to keep you occupied. like God etc. is like reading about string theory it's a theory you just read it is not experience qnd if you let experience being organised by existing theory you missing a lot .maybe I'm wrong though .
