I won't lie, I am a little terrified since reading that part in the "The Art of Dreaming" (around page 128) where CC encountered the "blue scout" and almost died. Here a short summary; after intense dreaming practice, CC would visit the "tunnels of shadows" on a regular basis. That one time, he saw a young female child with blue eyes who asked him to "rescue" her. He tried, and as a result, he almost lost his life. CC clearly said that Carol Tiggs rescued him from that encounter and even the whole group of sorcerers (including DJM) helped CC to recover from that situation. Now here is the thing, most of us do not have a Carol Tiggs by our side to rescue us and DJM explained that the whole event was even a planned setup by the IOBs to trick CC into staying in the tunnel of shadows forever / to take all his energy away. Obviously, that sounds quite dark.
Personally, I always experienced IOBs as "warm", eager to give knowledge, having a lot of goodwill etc. Even the "nasty looking ones" just seem to try to test our fear level etc. However, since reading about that blue scout, I have less trust and I even took a break on it all.
Can someone help and clarify? Dan999?

Not to be flippant, but we live in a predator/prey universe. It's literally the nature of things.

And very little, if any, worry for those who have an organic womb (just the wetware facts non-binary folks!).
As to the IOB's intentions, that would depend on the IOB in question. Fairy vs. Fancy being the example those in here are most familiar with through Dan's writing.
Same can be said about people, can't it? Are we ever crystal clear on someone's intentions, without a long association first? Does that mean we should completely avoid all people because we can never be certain what their agendas are?
The calculation is basically your standard risk/benefit scenario. With our mortality and incredibly stacked-against-us odds being the prime hinge-point.
And if you believe some of the alien abduction lore, and ultra mysterious missing persons cases, we may not even have to have an actual direct association with an IOB to be at a risk of abduction.
At least if you're a sorcerer who can move their assembly point and has direct access to their double's resources, you can leave...whenever.
A "regular" person has no such card up their sleeve.
As far as we should be concerned, it's yet another reason to practice sorcery 💪. Just like it's not a good idea to weigh 300 lbs. (140 kilos.), with the flexibility of a centenarian and the muscle tone of a toddler...if you want to be able to avoid or fight off a rampaging 🐻 or something.

A double being has the double amount of energy. Why can this be? There are just theories. A double being is called Nagual when there's a sorcery lineage behind.

The books are also correcting this a bit. That everything's on loan. It's this eagle stuff. Even the consciousness. So, there are no exceptions. Can something really be stolen if it was just borrowed anyway? The concept to possess things is just an illusion of the inner dialogue which makes you depressed in the end, if you can't get rid of this false narrative. The universe is more an exchanging and recycling thing. It's too big to control anything. An insight which removes all worries and makes life carefree. From this point of view, it's even a grace to live in a predatory universe!

We REALLY do this stuff, nightly. I went on a 3 day binge because of the holidays, doing 12 hours a day.
I can't imagine fussing and fuming with your troublesome family, and listening with pity for their plight, to what body parts have been removed lately.

How can they trap you in that, right? Those nasty IOBs want to trap you, but your family loves you.
The blue scout seems to have simply been an issue of him exploring too far, by his own choice.
Instead of reading your passage as a threat, I saw it as good news. I got to thinking maybe only women could go into their world that far. Looks like Carlos did it too.
So if you worry, don't do that! Don't go in there!
Or, get a good IOB and come up with some reason she's inclined to protect you.
Or design a way to remote view their world.
Like we do with darkroom! You can stick your arm into their world anywhere, and still be inside your own room. In that situation, your double is highly tethered to your organic body. I'd be surprised if they could snatch that.
I seem to have inorganic being protectors myself!
I wanted to travel to Pleiades a few days ago, and it was my Ally Lily who warned me not to do that, finally blocking my path by doing amusing faces and poses.
I showed interest in doing that again last night, tracking that star cluster through my walls.
I was looking to see if I could find a trail of fliers leading that direction. Easy technique: Move to the deep orange zone so whitish light is on the ceiling, lay down and gaze at the whitish light, trying to look through it into space. Find sparkles.
Lily stopped me again. But this time she decided to compensate me. Or give me something else to think about.

Why didn’t she want you to go? Going to the Pleiades or the Sirius star system would be so fascinating for me, I’d love to do that.
I read books about channelings from the Pleiadians and other entities, those books were so fascinating and interesting. I even met people who did channelings and what happened to them seems so unrealistic.
I don’t know if you know about channelings, from alien entities or even the subconscious itself, and what’s your thoughts about them, I’d be interested to know.
Those channelings are all made up for attention.
I understand relying on words can be hard, but I met people who did channelings themselves, and they talked to me about what happened during the hypnosis session, they didn’t seek for people’s attention.
I think you’re wrong about that. Everyone who does those channelings is looking for attention in my experience.
I knew a guy who went and took ayahuasca and then claimed to be able to channel all sort of aliens. He won’t stop going on about 5d earth and all sorts of nonsense that isn’t corroborated by any legit sorcery.
Low and behold now he’s a “shaman” and is out charging people.
Regardless it has no advantage to us practicing sorcery and at worst it could damage your link to intent putting stock into it.
Ah yes, I see a lot of people like that, I think those people just have a gap in their life and they’re trying to fill it up because they’re a bit lost. Basically like people in religion. They spread their beliefs like the ultimate truth.
Those type of things don't happen in a vacuum.
If you could channel, you could also so some of the stuff we do, and then you'd pursue that and pretty soon you'd be a lot more than a channeler.
If that's all you can do, it's pretend.
Also, if someone can do that they should be able to teach it to others, and you should be able to read actual progress, instead of a mess of attention seeking pretenders, like you find in the magical subreddits.
There's no place like that, where a channeler is teaching others successfully.
Which means, they can't do that.
Be careful. If you believe there's magic all over the place, when you try to do darkroom and realize how difficult it is, you'll switch to something "easier".
And never learn anything.
This is REALLY difficult.
I think you misunderstood, basically a hypnotherapist practitioner puts them into the trance, and when the person is in a deep state that’s when they call in the subconscious, or aliens.

I personally never met anyone who managed to channel entities on their own, and if they did manage to do that, I’d ask them to show me how they do that, otherwise I wouldn’t believe it. Too many fake people out there.
The people I met are qualified practitioners, and they talked about the sessions where they practiced the channelings on their clients.
I remember she told me that one of her clients during the trance was talking about quantum physics, when she came out the trance, she said she had no knowledge in that field, and was surprised of actually saying stuff like that.
So far, Hypnosis and sorcery and the 2 only things I found that actually show some result. (I’m not saying it’s the same before somebody gets confused by what I just said)
The only problem with hypnosis is that you must get passed your own beliefs, and break the paradigms for it to work.
But I guess it’s the same for sorcery.
But I do agree a lot of people just search for attention, these people I met didn’t even care about attention, we just had a chat about it and they just told me what happened.
After yeah, I don’t expect many people to believe this kind of stuff, but I guess there’s a lot of things in this universe that can’t be explained right now. I just see the universe as a place where anything is possible, so that’s why I’m interested in it. I try to be as opened minded as possible.
It is a fact that there's some kind of magical database out there, residing in the emanations themselves. Probably in residual glow of awareness.
It's as if you can go into "skimming" mode for just that kind of factual info. So that intent skims a little dreaming window for you, with what you wanted to know. Instead of an entire phantom or "real" reality.
Which reminds me, there are other types of "specialty skimming". I've been running into them lately.
But when I get out of the orange zone, I can't recall them.
Carlos was famous for knowing stuff he couldn't have known. I saw him do it myself, using his palm. And looking up at the south/south east horizon.
What you describe happens in continuous seeing mode, although how you get a choice on what you see is beyond my knowledge.
I'd be surprised if hypnosis could move your assemblage point to the deep orange zone.
Maybe there's a way to "cheat" and tap into that database?
I find it annoying myself. It's not free to see. It burns off dreaming energy.
The abstract on the other hand, does not.
But I guess that "abstract" database has no use, since it can't be translated into words.

I think he exaggerated how dangerous most things are in his books. For example Dun Juan said you can have your teeth kicked out on your first meeting with an IOB or that you can go to a world and only return 10-100 years later. But I don't think anything dangerous will happen to a beginner.
I should comment, both Cholita and I knew the blue scout.
Accoding to Cholita, the real blue scout was more "terrifying" than the account in that book.
