Read the book a separate reality for the first time a couple days ago and thought it was pretty cool so I began to research the author. It amazes me how people can’t just appreciate this type of work without falling in some type of cult/following group type of thing. Whoever is a true seeker of knowledge will see it for what it is, a story. Take the good leave the bad. But honestly if you’re tying to find meaning of your life based on his books or works alone you’re in for trap.

I agree. I found the books entertains but seeing how deranged some people here post I can totally see how cults begin. Fanatics the lot of them.

The only way to experience what’s detailed in the books for ourselves is take them seriously and apply those principles and maneuvers in our own lives.

If you ever decide to take that leap yourself, you can return. But right now you’re disruptive to our stated purpose.

The stated purpose of this subreddit is to aid in restoring the reputation of Carlos Castaneda and the knowledge he imparted, by pragmatically applying that knowledge IN PRACTICE. This means that we are sticking to what really works, as proven by direct experience by long-practicing members.
No low effort posting, pretending, or wasting people's time.

Especially problematic posts, ex. questions that could be answered by either practicing or by reading more posts or from the books, will be removed and users who make similar repeated posts will be banned for a minimum of 3 months. Pretend sorcery which does not emphasize silence, and is based only on thinking and mood, will not be tolerated.
Self-centered promotion, jockeying for a "top-dog" position, & grandstanding are bannable behaviors.

Persons promoting behavior over effort to get silent and the necessity to move the assemblage point, and who won't give up that activity, are likely to be banned for a minimum of ONE YEAR.
Those being overly disruptive will be temporarily or permanently banned, at the mods discretion.

This is a blanket rule, meant to give mods a more broadly applicable option for a ban or content removal. Banned users still have access to the subreddit, wiki, and all its resources (except the group chat).
