Before putting this up I'm a complete newbie please don't go hard on me if I put up any wrong terms or please forgive me if I make any mistake.
I don't have a dark room. My rooms are too open and i can't seem to get access to a room that is completely dark.
So what should I start off with? Should I continue to gaze on the not completely dark room? Or should I do something else?
Can I do a dark room gazing without a dark room but with my eyes covered completely with enough space for my eye lids to be open and also light doesn't enter it it's completely dark.
But then again the goal of dark room gazing is to look for light elements in dark right? So how would covering my eyes help in this situation since I'm not seeing my room to begin with how would I find the energy?
Again please don't go hard on me if anything is wrong with this post.

Try to get some available space as dark as you possibly can, then get the rest of the way with one of the recommended masks (Justa Blind Sports or Manta, etc.) that let you open your eyes.
Alternatively, if you can get the room dark enough, some shade 12 or darker welding sunglasses may be more comfortable.

Maybe you've a dark garage where you can gaze while sitting inside your car? Or maybe there's a cave nearby your home? You're welcome being creative.
Gaze during the day time. I make multiple attempts throughout my day to gaze and dream. I’m making slow but tangible progress.
Currently i am in a similar situation. Im waiting until i have the money to rend an apartment for myself. Darkroom will have to wait, im just continuiong my process of lucid dreaming and getting through the 4 gates as much as i can instead
I went with the Manta mask. I love the thing. It works extremely well, it's design has eye cups, you're able to open your eyes and the comfort is top notch.
