Don Juan and Genaro helped Carlos to stop the world.
They pushed his assemblage point for 3 days, and then sent him to the mountains.
Carlos was so saturated of magic, that he reached the front of the J Curve path.
Except he was moving in depth, skipping the shift below.
He told us himself, it was the Nagual's Blow path.
So don Juan and Genaro were sure he still needed the "fight with the ally".
They claimed after that encounter, you aren't the same again.
Like Genaro, who started his journey to Ixtlan, but never arrived.
The reason is that in the deep red zone the effects of the ordinary world stops.
The influence of other people, the limits of daily thoughts, routines.
Even if you come back to the ordinary position, your body never forgets that perspective.
And taking each day the assemblage point there, means you fix things with your double!
It makes me think, even in the lineages the apprentices are lost, until they manage to get to the Shift Below.
The Nagual's Blow is proof, but we both need to find an ally ourselves, in order to solidly stay on the path.

We know of at least two or three people other than you who’ve had interactions in the past week or two.
One even on video!
And a few more in the past 2 years or so.
So the allies particular to this lineage are accessible now. Yes, the ones you read about in the books

But there are a lot more out there, and they seem to all have access to the same knowledge.
So far she lets me know when lidotska is around.
She usually sees Fairy too, or she made her Pass.
But who knows if the dreams are also related to other people in here.
Like a group of women making a fire in the woods, could be the mad prophet and Cecilia??
I don’t know about a fire in the woods, but I have a pet theory that Ren and Lily are the same entity.
Lily’s lessons always touch on things I’ve been doing with Ren. Even my partner sometimes dreams about the stories from Lily’s posts.
Ren is “water lily” in Japanese.
So if they aren’t the same, there’s definitely a lot of interconnection going on.
Actually I found myself in dreaming with one of the women from here last night.
I just couldn't figure out who it was.
She was arguing with me about something regarding the allies. Where they're actually located, when you think they're in front of you. She claimed there was a horizontal crack through the air to the left, and the ally was actually through there.
I could see yellow light and haze leaking through. But I couldn't see what was on the other side.
Meanwhile the ally was playing dumb, sitting right in front of me.
Like, "Who, me??? You guys talking about me?"
I turned to the witch and said, "See? She's right there."
But the memory is gone.
It wasn't asleep or in ordinary dreaming. It was awake. I'd been practicing for hours, and while manifesting an object in the air I wasn't satisfied with how real looking it was. Too transparent. I'd been at it so many hours, didn't seem fair to have such a pathetic manifestation. I figured I just needed a "recharge".
So I lay down to rest, but with my eyes open.
Around 10 minutes later I was with someone. Except I had shifted so far horizontally, I wasn't lucid enough to say "What the hell??? And who are you?!"
It just seemed normal to have my darkroom half in a park, in the sunlight.
The witch seems to have wanted to be in the sun.
One thing came out of it. That playing around in the dark room follows the same rules for intending, as we read in the books.
Bold, funny, and a bit malicious. Otherwise the results are poor.
My argument was, "I'm just trying to open a portal here, and I'm succeeding. I don't want to get up and dance for some weird force out there."
I got a response, "But look inside your portal. Does that look strong enough to walk into it? It's barely there at all! You have to INTEND it better than that. Isn't that obvious?"
The person you see in front of you is basically never the ally!
It's just their projections. It's -all- their projections.
Recently they haven't even bothered projecting a person for me, they just project everything else. The environment, the sounds, the lights, the phantoms. If they interact with me as a person for a minute, that person is still just an aspect of the environment.
And yet our conversations throughout the entire dream are entirely coherent and sensical, but they aren't just with words. They'll rattle an object to draw my attention to something, create a painting on the wall that illustrates an answer to my question, play music from a song I know to get a point across, or default to the most expected form and just appear as a person in order to chat.
I think they are doing it on purpose to force me to expand my peripheral awareness. So that I become used to perceiving the entire environment as a coherent whole.
So I don't know if I could say where the ally 'is'. Just as it's hard to say where the double is. Or where the boundaries of the double or the ally end.
They told me awareness can be acute or diffused, broad or focused. Identity is fluid and changeable. Form holds ideas together and a well-constructed form can last a very, very long time. A form like the forged energy body.
That's why we have to build it. It already exists but it isn't forged into something that can hold 'us' together for a sustained period of time yet.
That quote about using awareness as an aspect of the environment to travel, like the allies. They build the environment from that awareness. They can be diffused, they can flow through it.
Are they projecting all this from somewhere else though? Do they have a static source, like some kind of original body that they are centred on? I don't know.
Don Juan tells Carlos that while you can call the allies 'spirits', Carlos has a pretty limited understanding of that word, so it would be better to call them 'inexplicable forces'. They certainly seem more like inexplicable forces when they drop all pretense of being a person.
So I don't know about any crack in space but I dig what this witch is saying. Also very fond of hanging out in sunlit parks.
One of the "masterless allies" claimed we'd reached some kind of "mixing threshold" they could take advantage of.
Swimming between us.
However, I got that while I was surrounded by them. They were correcting my tensegrity.
I suspect they got obsessed over doing that, because of Jadey's video.
It got them interested in tensegrity for a couple of days.
I also believe, over time you don't get to see the same thing, when viewing them.
It pisses me off! I had them wearing miniskirts.
Now I just get a woman's head, and mostly transparent.
However, it might be that over time, you mix more and more of your own energy into them, and they into you, so that they don't just have a "tiny bit" to pull on, to cause you to perceive them.
Meaning, when you first meet t hem, you get just a few emanations stuck inside them, and they can implant a couple in you.
So the "appear" visibly, all they can do is yank on the tiny amount of common energy, and you produce the image.
So if you're a Jewish Campfire story creator, you see the kind of demons, name it "The shining one", and write "the book of Job".
And create 3 bad religions at the same moment.
If you're Milarepa, the famous Tibetan Yogi, you see demons taking you to hell to torture people.
Milarepa wasn't all that hot, so people don't any drool of Tibetan Yogis!

But now when I try to remember it, it was "gaping open mouth intending", "flat fog intending in the pink zone"...

All I can salvage from it perhaps is that don Juan gave Carlos specific intent lessons along the way.
Maybe not planned, but the fact is, intent is everything.
But, that doesn't mean there aren't different forms of it, which seem completely unrelated.
Like a "Dad" can also be "President", "Catholic", "A tax cheater", and so on.
When you study the "types" of intent, you are cleaning your connecting link without knowing it.
Because you're just trying to do something fun. Last night I was looking at a weird creature on my floor. To perceive that required red zone "seeing energy on surfaces".
Only an experienced darkroomer would have noticed, that THING is not normal. It's fully stable, just laying there like a wounded animal, and doesn't go away no matter how long you look at it.
So when you find something like that, you try to "do something" with it. Or to it. Or take something from it.
You want a "practical doing".
In the course of trying to find something useful, you encounter little problems.
Like, if I gaze to the left of it, it turns bluish and seems to be burning away.
But if I don't look left, I can't see if it has a face.
So you try to resolve both not burning it up, and also not seeing it's face.
You find some "weird thing to relax".
And THAT'S cleaning our link to intent.
I began to realize how many different things needed cleaning.
It was like if I took a honest look around my home, now that Cholita has fled.
I'd start to see, "Shit, you really do have to mop sometimes?"
All over.
I got help from one of the IOBs who claims to be owned by all of us.
She said, "It can be done by the group, so that no one individual has to clean it all."
Meaning, what one cleans, the others can skip for a while.
But that's all orange zone level. If you don't see the whitish light, you need to move further.
The whitish light will even follow you into an ordinary dream!
Mine can't survive sunlight. But a sunlight dream, it can survive.

I'd hate to say that. It could be, you learn to clench your teeth, to allow both. Or you take a deep breath and think happy thoughts.
That sort of thing is too personal to share. Otherwise, I suppose teaching sorcery would only need a series of "lessons" in how to "be".
Naturally, that's what the fake magical systems do, and what beginners want most. More inventory items. For instance, just "be impeccable" if you want to sustain both.
To be absurd, in that specific case I could have remembered the time my inorganic being plunged me into hell and I felt trapped forever.
That would have worked too.

BUT, we're really wacky to the IOBs. They really "don't get us".
If they answer one question, there's no way to know it wasn't another they thought you meant. Something far more advanced.
If you ever taught children, you realize, all you need to do for them is make them think they did well.
You're all ready to teach them how cool geometry is, with specific "coincidences" you've noticed, between the formulas that guide it and the world around us.
You turn to see if they're following any of it, and the kid says, "That one is a triangle, right?"
All you can do is say, "Yes, you're doing very well!"
But yea. I think she was saying, if you learn to do something amazing, it's far easier for everyone else to do that too.
It's the nature of "energetic mass".

If you do one of their "hat tricks", that intent is now glowing with more awareness, and the intent is easier to skim out of infinity.
Meanwhile, we're still on the level of "It's a triangle?"

I've gone off into Silent Knowledge to find help.
That means, any of you who summon the whitish light, and keep watching it all the way to Silent Knowledge, will be able to follow my current path more easily than if I hadn't been there yet.
Silent Knowledge can be like telescope, or a microscope, for tracing intent.

In one, Miyamoto (as I recall), goes to study with the priest in the temple, trying to learn to overcome his anger.
And the priest asks him to meditate all night.
He's a bit taken a back, and sits uncomfortably for a few scenes, next to the priest who looks perfectly at home meditating on the rice cushion.
In the morning, Miyamoto realizes the priest has simply learned to sleep in sitting position.
The guy just dozed off all night.
And instead, Miyamoto turns to farming as the path to peace.

What is that?
The energy body is our energetic component. It is what we access dreaming with, for example. If it is strengthened and 'forged' into a suitable form, it can hold our awareness after death.
That kind of things are perfectly reasonable while dreaming, and then sounds crazy.
I was wondering: Are we ever going to know if we share inorganic beings?
But, it is pointless.
We'd dismiss it anyway, up in the blue line.
Another theory is that we might have different scouts, but access to the same Inorganic Being Realm.
Or to specific layers of that Realm.
It definitely feels pointless in the moment when you actually have a chance to ask.
Whatever they’re showing me is always way cooler. I’m so awed and humbled by my experiences with them now that asking something like that feels so insignificant. I don’t want to interrupt whatever they are doing.
I’m not convinced I’d get more than a sly smile either.
Maybe someone will actually get an answer one of these days and can tell us if we’re right or not.

The true ends up being, if we are worrying about that type of question, our assemblage point didn't shift far enough yet.
Silence ends up solving it.
And you find yourself laughing because the answers are floating in the air!
Like a knowledge high, except you usually can't formulate it exactly.
By the way, I think witches like Cecilia are wonderful.
If you have been moving through the J Curve, they could help you to hold the vertical shifts all day long.
Silence is needed to get the full interaction, or you get lost in secondary things.
Like feeling attacked for not so rational things.
But after the red zone, you realize there is a lot more going on, than just rationality.
Witches probably feel that sensations strongly.
And the interaction has magical interference.
It gets easier to see the inorganic beings!
Of course, Dan knows a lot about it!

My guess is, those interactions take place mostly using the double's senses.
So even when it feels like it's just you, doing fun stuff in your darkroom, in fact it's mostly him.
The Castaneda community as a whole got obsessed with "The DOUBLE!!!!".
We book dealed it, because it's an easy to pretend bad ass topic.
So we don't have a clear understanding of what happens in HA. Who's doing what.
That might actually be in the books, if we could stop overlooking things.

When don Juan struck Carlos on the back and pushed him into HA, that doesn't mean his tonal wasn't still trying to prepare that useless smoking mixture with him, wandering all over the desert looking for plants.
Maybe the strike just forces the double to come where the person doing the striking is located. And then the best thing you could do with the Tonal part, is keep it occupied doing detailed, "important" things. Like crushing seeds or stuffing shrooms in a little clay pot.
If it's true, it sets up a sort of "book irony".
It's like there's a second set of books with the stuff we missed. That stuff covers this topic of whether Carlos was in 2 places at once, during his teaching in heightened awareness.
Or whether he simply "forgot it all", and had to recall it decades later.
People criticized him for that, but maybe if you read all the books, you participate in that amnesia a little yourself.
We like reality to be digital, but it's closer to analog?

Then he tried to force reason to come back, as fast as possible.

I'm convinced, if you can get past thinking of it as a future book deal, it is in fact a way to "make a new reality" from your experiences.
And reddit is just a journal.
I'll dare a spooky thought. Don't tell anyone.
The Olmecs just made this all up. We think they "discovered it", but that's a mistaken view of how reality works.
Nothing is "out there" until you organize "some" of it, into a thing.
Never all of it. That's not possible.
Inorganic beings were just "playing with them". With the Olmecs.
They didn't really have a plan to teach them a new sorcery system.
Those IOB guys are very flexible about what's "real" and what's not.
So the Olmecs merely got some IOB games from the IOBs.
Maybe just ping pong!
The Olmecs were primitive, there was no money, no video games. Nothing to do.
So they were just messing around in the woods, and mostly pretending.
But over time, they learned that the pretending gets real when more than one does it.
And over thousands of years, they had created a phantom reality.
And realized, all realities are phantom.
What they made, is both "modifiable" by us (without harming the intent), and is made stronger if we compare notes (without any bad players mixed in there).
Here's a practical example.
The moth dust that allows you to "see" people you know as mushroom forms?
It might have just been that way for Carlos, and only that one time.
Don Juan just went along with it, as if that were an actual technique that needed emphasizing.
It was just a "new thing" for the most part, but telling Carlos that, wouldn't have helped him clean his link to intent.
There is 'journal mind' which is like a lesser form of book deal mind. I've noticed it when practicing. It becomes 'how am I going to write about this in my journal?'. But because it doesn't have anything to do with getting renown or attention from anyone except yourself, it is easier to arrest before it becomes a problem.
Besides, once you get used to things and know you can remember them well enough, it stops raising its head.
I write everything in my journals, but that means by the time I get to reddit I've already done a lot of writing. Making a post takes extra energy and time, but it's probably a good thing to share what's going on.
I think you're right. Sometimes things manifest a particular way just one time. Other things are consistent no matter how many times you do it.
And the key point:
A sorcery teacher is within his rights, to pretend "Yea, that's the way it always happens! Good job, you succeeded."
In fact, infinity is vast, and sorcery is endless.
And we already have been warned by don Juan, that the old seers went nuts creating a huge variety of techniques, which they kept secret.

Is there a reason for why there is very few recent posts of other more experienced people besides Juann and you? maybe the stuff is too advanced, and kept in the advanced subreddit?
Not to butt in, but as far as my own posting activity... I haven't gotten to the point where writing about my experiences doesn't negatively affect things.
That's why I focus more on putting up resources for others, or the occasional comic relief.
My internal monologue gets magnified when I seem to be boasting about cool "magical" stuff that happened, and it echoes for while...making it difficult to get more of that, which is what I actually want anyway.
I assume that will change in time, but I'm still far too neurotic.
But I would still post something really grand, simply because it would take more energy to sit on that rather than post it.
I have a strong sense of responsibility.
Also, most of the time at the stages I'm in it's composed of highly personal recap work, and repetition, and any "revelations" don't help or assist anyone but me.
In other words rinse and repeat stuff. Rote persistence.
Cool stuff often happens right at the beginning without that much effort on this intent path, then the universe has set things up to transition to "now prove you actually have the will to pursue this, without the unearned freebies."
thank you Techno for your response.. I also have felt how posting or commenting can sometimes be detrimental to the practices. When I began, I commented my experiencies a few times, because I felt quite euphoric about them. But now I feel that I have to just work hard, and don’t think about posting or commenting at all. When I think about it, I’m fixed at the blue line. But I guess that at some point that isn’t an issue anymore (maybe?).
And yes, at the beginning it was much easier to see cool stuff. Now I have to put a lot more effort into it..
I just hope that people like this are the minority:
Beginners who really do have cool experiences that fall in line with the "intent container" this subreddit has become make a mistake not to at least try to post it in an inspiring fashion.
Better if you can make a picture too.
I can tell you with authority, I screwed up big time in private classes because I didn't report what I was experiencing loudly enough.
Everyone was afraid of Carlos so we only reported when he asked, and didn't do a good job of describing it.
I suppose that's being repeated in here.
But not to fear! We have streaming media now. That'll change things a lot.
Each of the characters in potential cartoons is like someone in here, reporting magic to help others be motivated to work harder.
And better if people know, those characters look like real people who are practicing.
So if we can make the characters in the animations "real" (ish), that'll be a reasonable substitute for living beings.
They need individual personalities and flaws. But also talents.
For now, it's important to "report" progress to others. Because we're trying to escape the pull of the river of shit. It's actively trying to suck you back in.
PEOPLE are actively trying to do that!
So other people need to be encouraging people to do the opposite. Climb out of the river of shit!
Women especially can benefit from seeing a flow of people who are climbing out for real.
Women like Cholita will find a really bad spot to climb out on their own, and succeed anyway.
But no one else will be able to follow that path. That's perhaps what's wrong with the witchcraft subreddits.
No understandable goals. So they only climb out halfway, then go back into the "cozy" river, slightly happier than before.
Cholita did that. But she gets all the way onto dry land, before she goes back again.
In our situation, fortunately most women will look to see if people are succeeding, and some will even be aggressive once they believe that spot on the banks of the shore of the river of shit is sturdy enough to get you out.
Women do that. They spy on "prosperity" all around them to see if they can get some for themselves.
The reason to report experiences is completely outside attention seeking with humans.
It's greed. But not greed for human rewards.
You just have to make sure there's no trace of seeking human attention in your motives. Because any of that, pulls you back into the river of shit.
So that if you post trying to encourage others to work hard, you get "noticed" by the spirit.
The spirit really does exist! But not as a Santa Claus, bestowing gifts on those who obey his arbitrary rules.
Cholita can attest to the fact that the Spirit will help you to do harm also. It doesn't judge the actions, just the personal goal.
So from a practical point of view, if Person A and person B are both beginners, but Person A posts something inspirational to person B, which causes B to work harder, the spirit is pleased by that.
And person A gets credit for person B's increased practice time.
For how long, I don't know.
But "intent gifts" are given out as rewards for effort, so if you can have your own effort, but get credit for someone else's also, that's a very good thing!
"Intent gifts" from the spirit are very real. We were taught about those from the very start, because they're so important.
In the early books they were frolicing around playing with the wind, which came alive for them. Chased them all over some bushes, in a manner that was clearly sentient.
Later a rag blowing in the wind turned into a wounded animal for Carlos.
The fact that both the wind and a rag came to life, was an "intent gift".
And there are more in the early books. People try to pretend to be seeking those, not realizing they're given out based on hard effort.
Bad players just want to pretend to get the gifts, but not do any actual work to deserve them.
So they get none, and make up phony results.
Then later in the books we're given a better understanding of "intent gifts".
Because the new seers realized that was going on, and created (found in silent knowledge), a story to explain them.
We find out about "the Rule".
And the rule is all about how to get more gifts from the Eagle, and how not to be blind to them.
So if the Eagle wants to help you out (because it likes to watch, and wants to explore as far as possible into the sea of emanations), it will give you credit for motivating someone else.
And if that other person needs an "answer" to something, but can't sustain a shifted position of the assemblage point long enough to receive that answer from "the spirit", then it might use you as the next best thing.
You become a "container" for the other person's intent to fill.
I'm actually afraid these days not to pass such things on, in case if I keep it to myself I get less.
Some of that advanced stuff would sound delusional in this subreddit, and cause beginners to go astray. So I post it in the advanced.
But I do indeed fear not posting it.
Carlos called the spread of "reciprocal intent gifts" "Energetic mass", making it sound like something else.
Which it is.
But thinking it's only that "other thing" is a big mistake.
It's the mistake we make when we believe we can ignore ordinary things that drain our energy, as if those aren't even more damaging to learning sorcery.

I find it very difficult to believe that all this is made up (for new people), especially looking at old posts, and that is great! Maybe the people that really are interested will be hooked immediately by the contents here.
The women like to post experiences in the private sub instead, for multiple reasons specific to them.
I have more in there as well, so your assumption is partially accurate.

Neither other forums. I doubt that there is another place quite like this, with the illustrations, the variety of different people experiencing similar things and all the many techniques. And the possibility to get useful advice too.
They're all messing around on the green line in that J curve diagram.
I suppose it's natural. It's the first glimpse of real magic and it comes with "bliss" and visions. And spirits become visible and can interact with you.
And will fool you for sure! Tell you what you want to hear.
So anyone who makes it there gets a huge ego, and decides they ought to be sitting on a little throne.

The "Throne system" (primarily Buddhism) is used to motivate people with very dubious motives.
Motives other than real magic.
We lost our only double male to that evil.
I've had run-ins with "enlightened" people.
They always turn out to be sad angry men, just like everyone else.
Because at the green line, all you did was break free of a tiny bit of our normal reality.
You didn't go far enough to alter your personality or gain true insight into what reality really is. Didn't go far enough to realize how absurd the idea of a "sacred scroll" or a "bible" really is.
So you retain all of your religious delusions, despite having seen that real magic exists.
You give the religious pretending credit for the meager magic results, which you could have just as easily gotten with shamanic drumming, or something less confusing involving repetition and rituals.
Witches are a bit different.
They have built in talent, and can do everything we do in here.
By accident.
But then they forget anything past the deep red zone.
Which is only halfway along the J curve.
And since they're probably members of a delusional group with religious obsessions, they don't see "the path".
They just believe they're doing well so no reason to work harder.

Beginners with cool experiences do exist. I'm one of them and intent gifts are indeed real! In fact, Fairy visited me for the first time yesterday and she appeared exactly the way Dan described in one of his posts. Currently trying to stabilize red zone perception and the sights are incredible; many things I have a hard time describing. Intent gifts are selfishly why I'm replying to you right now - hopefully you will be inspired to get your feet wet and maybe I'll get a nice little intent gift! At a minimum, all you need to do is be committed to practicing every day for hours (ideally) and work on silencing the internal dialogue (arguably the hardest thing there is to do on this path, at least in the beginning). Throw in some tensegrity moves, sunlight glitter hoarding and book reading for much better results.
I'd suggest keeping track of the mods and various "power-users" here and then periodically checking in on their posts. Dan really does go into old posts to make comments months/years later. The chat group is also excellent for asking small questions and reporting your results. I want to hear them!

Minx doesn't seem to be around lately, although Cholita never sleeps in the house. Not sure where she's sleeping. But the absence of Minx seems obvious.
He's probably Devil's Weed. Carlos introduced us to both of them at once.
He likes weird reptile forms, squirrels, and an Irish boy with blazing red hair.
Although Cholita's double can get him to take on human forms.
