Introduction to Dreaming, an old text from Nuvem que Passa
Dreaming
** NOTE **
This is a translation from one of the texts from
Nuvem que Passa
, and old shaman I've the lucky to walk on the path with. I am sorry if the translation isn't perfect, as we all know putting knowledge in words is challenging.
Also note that there is only a small fragment of his texts. The majority of them were destructed once we deleted our old Yahoo Groups, after
Nuvem que Passa
passed away.
We printed other texts and I believed they are safe on paper, but I don't know when of even if they will be available for sharing here.
I will curate more content that I think could be valuable to this group. At least, my intuition says to me that this is the right place and time to start sharing his reflections.
enjoy, or not... it is all good.

Introduction to Dreaming
"... to explain the world that Don Juan has left us as a heritage is the definitive expression of our gratitude and commitment to his search."
The Art of Dreaming, by Carlos Castaneda
The theme of dreaming is of great interest. We could start by defining what it's like to dream. For shamanism, dreamers are those who act consciously with the energy body. We have this physical body that we develop, better saying, that develops to the mature state, then begins to age and "dies", that is, ceases to act with the life force, ceases to exist as an organism and returns to entropy, returns to solve and then coagulates in other forms.
There is another part of us, another "nature" that to be developed requires conscious work, although some people have a "dreamy talent" in a latent state.
We operate in everyday reality with our physical nature, we act with our body and this act is also "more or less", because we act with little awareness of what our body really is, of the immense possibilities we bring. There are disciplines such as Rolfing, the works of Moshe Fedelkreins, Mathias Alexander, Gurdjieff and others that deal with this issue of the limited and robotic use we make of our body, how we strain unnecessary parts, how we misuse our bodies and how we have little awareness of it.
But despite all this, the physical body is what gives us this feeling of continuity, when we wake up every morning, we remember things that have been and we have a solution of continuity, something that generates what we call "I". (sic) {Self}
In common dreams consciousness is erratic, there is no solution of continuity, there is no "life", but several occurrences, in spectra worlds or even fugitive dives in effective realities, but without the energy body having been fully developed we are only experiencing erratic displacements from the assembling point.
Just as the body creates the sense of existence in this reality, the energy body, the "dreaming" body creates the continuity that allows perception to operate with focus and precision in worlds other than this.
When we dream, we are in another condition of reality, we take a quantum leap, even if we walk around here, until the energy body is fully ready and we are able to dream of this world, our forays here are made as energy entities.
One of the key problems of traveling to other realities/realms is that when we exist as a pure energy entity we lose the ability to act on matter of this dimension.
IOB that projects through the worlds go through the same.
Acting in the physical world from the energetic body is made possible only when we "dream awake" , that is, we act in a state of consciousness where the assembly point moves to a position where the dream body and the physical body merge, having one shared the power of the other.
This state is known as "merging both identities" and is achieved after a long path of discipline and work.
So when we watch movies like "The Tiger and the Dragon" it looks puerile and exaggerated the fighting style of the fans of the internal style, when in reality they are only operating with other levels, more than the body only, although this deeply trained is the first door to this state.
When I started working with the dream body I used the idea of looking in places where I didn't look, on top of a wardrobe, on the top face of a chandelier, on top of the door, the drawing of the wood there, on top of the roof, and then going the other day to see if what I saw was there.
Very interesting this idea of moving objects while operating the body of energy. Just the care of not getting absorbed on it seems to me recommended.
When in the dream we are always in another "onion layer", because we are in another condition of reality and perception.
Is affecting this reality from another reality possible?
From what they told me about the history of the ancient peoples who developed sophisticated civilizations, living in these "onion layers", the fact that they act only in these other layers led them to put aside this aspect of reality.
When the invading peoples came, the vast majority were decimated, the thick shell of the perceptual boundaries of these conquerors did not allow the perception of these sorcerers to shift their assembly points to positions where they would experience the power of the sorcerer.
Protected by a mind that limits and vetoes perception attacked with ferocity and entire civilizations were almost decimated.
Later other conquerors would come, even more violent and destructive.
And here we are in the civilization resulting from these waves of conquest.
We know who lost the battles.
Only those endowed with personal power managed to survive, with them the magic worked.
Personal power seems to be the key to the bridge between the energy body and the physical body.
All I've said is the opinion of a man talking about dreaming.
For women it is completely different, having uterus women dream directly, without all this elucubration that we men enrenal.
But such understanding has its value too, the mind is an effective shield against the attacks of ETERNITY.

Looks like a giant mental masturbation post to me.
I'm not sure what part is you and what is him, but there's nothing in there that isn't a rehash of the books.
Nothing in there to help someone learn. Can you point to a single sentence useful to someone who wants to learn sorcery?
And the ending is kind of weird. Like a mental trip. ETERNITY!!!
And then it's signed as if that ought to impress someone.
It's a sad case of the book deal mind taking on a "romantic" turn. From thinking too much about the "glory" of knowing sorcery.
"My wonderful Journey!", sums it up.
That type of thinking that someone else is going to want to read about your life.
Or it's as if the signer wanted to make a name for himself, instead of help others.
A real sorcerer would almost surely either help others learn for real, or keep to himself. I can't imagine a sorcerer with another option.
Sorcery is about intent, and trace amounts can greatly alter how well you can move your assemblage point.
It's not free to go around causing mischief.
Maybe a powerful sorcerer might tinker with society, as Soledad did in Hollywood. That could be a third option.
At any rate, you're what we call the "Comrade Type" bad player. Did you read in the wiki to learn the types?
Hard earned info it is!
Those Comrade types are the worst if you ask me, because they use self-pity if they are called out, and try to insist it's everyone else's fault they aren't being respected.
"You let them down" is what they try to claim when caught red handed.
I'd rather have shit slung in my face by an angry bad player, than someone trying to make me feel guilty for protecting beginners in this sub from invaders with dubious motivations.
Imagine if there were 10 like you in here?
I'd have to leave, and the place would go away like all of the other castaneda discussion groups have.
I've run into a few of these cases, like yours, where some guy tries to get attention by telling us about the amazing sorcerer he ran into.
One even claimed to have met "the real Carlos Castaneda", implying we had a cheap copy.
So far in all cases, the guy who ran into the "magic man" was drugged and raped by the man or his associates.
The "sorcerer" was a sexual predator.
By the way, mentioning Gurdjieff and those other men is the obvious sign whoever wrote that doesn't understand sorcery at all.
Those are bad men, who will destroy any chances to learn anything real. They have no "insights" to help anyone.
Using them to "justify" or explain your "vast knowledge" is idiocy.
You seem to have no desire to learn, and don't belong in here.
I suppose I could be wrong.
But this happens over, and over, and over, and over again. It's tedious.
And endless in here. Always a new scam.
But in case I'm wrong, show me something your guy did that would actually help someone learn, beyond just reading the books for themselves.
I could suggest things, but I'm afraid you'd add it on when you went somewhere else, and make it even harder to spot the truth of the situation.
We don't want to teach people how to lie better.
The sub's intent is very explicit - practical application of the knowledge the seers passed on to Carlos, Florinda and Taisha, who stopped keeping secrets that weren't even theirs to keep.
With that in mind, you should be self-evaluating posts to ensure that they comport with that intent.
That means focusing on now and your current practice.
If you aren't practicing anything yourself, then you should refrain from posting.
By all means, do some regular dark room, recap, Tensegrity, etc., and when you can aid by speaking from personal experience, then post.
Edit - That's the thing your post is missing - where's the stories about the magic you are currently experiencing due to your current practices?
What can you point to that you currently do that produces magic in your face that others can learn and do?
If you've got nothing to share on those points ... well posting in this sub, where the entire intent is focused on current active practice now, today in as many practitioners as possible ... it doesn't make much sense, does it?
Oh my god, his portuguese web page has a picture of the Buddha!
And it's the classic, "I just farted, but it's 'ok'" pose.
And Bruce Lee!!! But he claims that's tensegrity.
I didn't think to click on that blue heading. It was already bad enough with what was translated.
Come on!!!
Go away with this shit.
What a horrible con man.
Both of you.
Shame on you.
I'm going to go to all the pictures of facebook people who follow him shown, and ask them to get off my facebook page. Except, so far there doesn't seem to be anyone who's also looking at mine.
They look like random naive people.
User has been managed. And the post locked.
A useful example of points made in the "Don't Be Confused" post from yesterday.
