I've been able to see the puffs for a few years now-- i am stuck on building the energy body. I'm not trying to portray an expert, so please keep your bullying to a minimum. I can't even remember my dreams at night.
The last "sorcery" group I participated in called the puffs "parasites" that feed off the energy body. Is this true? I have been very sick after cancer and chemo and have very little vitality. About a week ago I noticed that if I move around, the puffs will dance with me-- then I found this group.
My question is-- How important is the specific choreograph dances and are they the same for everybody? I seem to have better luck just doing it and dancing my dance-- should I be sticking to your comic books? I am trying to get the blue fluffs around the throat area.
Bullying myself to be silent (as claimed by this sub) never worked for me. Along the way I was told (by voices) that the subconscious stream of thought was important, but it needed to be layered on a channel. It is (seemingly) impossible to turn off. Furthermore-- the imagination seems necessary for building out details in visions. It is the small child that dreams her world. If any intent is needed, that is built out of thought, not the absence of thought. Yet the mods here threatened to kick me out yesterday for just mentioning this.

Intent is not built out of thought. It is not something that you think up and then use that thinking as your motivation for doing things. The terminology can get confusing if you are thinking of intent like 'intention' or 'willpower' used in day-to-day speech. It's a little more nuanced than that.
It sounds like you are not familiar with Castaneda, Florinda, and Taisha's books? There is a lot of terminology that we use here that may be confusing if you are not familiar with them. We use this terminology here because it's part of our practices. If we let newcomers arrive and set about redefining things then the integrity of the practice space would fall apart.
The puffs we describe here are part of your energy body, not parasites. Perhaps someone who is more experienced with tensegrity can help you with your primary questions.
In these practices we don't use our imagination to build visions. We don't need to. 'Seeing' is very different to imagining.
Bullying myself to be silent doesn't really work for me either. I prefer a more upbeat mood. But it still requires a butt load of effort. That effort pays off. There are interim stages where you dissociate from the stream of thoughts and can watch them pass but they no longer move you. That helps.
You said you are trying to build the energy body. That is part of our terminology but I'm not sure we are talking about the same things. What do you mean by that?

Sure. I'm not practicing for 3-4 hours each day, but I do practice regularly and have been for the better part of a decade.
The 'butt-load of effort' is two-fold. It takes effort to get silent and maintain it (but then after a while, the silence begins to sustain itself). And it takes effort to practice as often as possible and actually develop from that practice. So even though I might not always be gazing or dreaming, I'm usually trying to practice silence and other techniques during the day.
The effort pays off and it becomes natural. But if I've had a bad week, maintaining silence may take more effort than usual.

Castaneda’s books, specifically The Second Ring of Power if I remember correctly, has a chapter titled “A Horde of Angry Sorcerers” which is about the men and the women who were apprenticed to Don Juan’s group, and the conflicts they got into about the best way to go about things ( gross over-simplification).
If the phrasing forcing off the internal monologue doesn’t resonate with you, then think about it differently as turning around one’s beam of awareness; away (completely) from the validation and upholding of the ego ON DEMAND….which is something that only happens with great amounts of practice and intense effort.

I am practicing everyday and I do have direct questions I've sprinkled in. I'm getting answers and information that has lead to more experiences. Remember, just learning that there are inorganic sources with enough intelligence to communicate with me in a direct and personal way is brand new and overwhelming as I burn through anger probably due to not enough recapitulation.
Anyways, I'm glad you brought this up because my direct intention is to put my tonal awareness inside the violet fluffs... which I believe will happen as I dance around and try to capture the fluffs and rub them on myself with magical passes-- I want to build the dreaming body.
I want to move my assemblage point all the way to the front and see the world... to know what time is, to visit different worlds.

It definitely doesn't! Which is one of the good things about these methods. You get to see the results of what you are doing while you are working on them.
I don't know how your recovering energy levels would affect things, but the added drive is definitely a boon.

I’m just a person with a physical body. I never met Carlos or the Witches. I don’t have reason to believe any of the Witches or Chacmools are currently in this group but I don’t know that for sure. There are regular people here who did attend classes with Carlos and the Witches though and knew them in person.
Florinda and Taisha’s books are great, they are easily some of my favourites. I highly recommend them.

I have no reason to doubt you. Every day I wake up in a world where there are physical people... but I am not sure if they are projections. I am living with my mother and when dan describes his "Cholita" i think it reminds me of my mom. is my mother a projection of my energy body?

This is seemingly just a small point, however there are petty tyrants making demands and I wonder what the best way is to deal with it. My job is run by the inorganic giving me busy work with unreal deadlines. How do I satisfy the inorganic, but also prioritize practicing... ?
Just to clarify, Cholita is an actual person. I've met her and Dan in real life. Sometimes Dan, while practicing, sees Cholita's energy body only. Just like he's seen another witch's energy body, who lives physically far away.
Also, and this may be a matter of terminology, we call 'inorganic beings' to beings that have energy, but no organic/physical body. We can see them and communicate with them. They have their own worlds to which we can travel.

The important question is-- what is the difference between inorganic being and spirit? Does each organic have it's own piece of spirit that cares for it's evolution, or is spirit just the pure information coming through the crown of the head?
One of the best things about this practice/path is that you get to prove things with your own direct experience, instead of just endlessly debating concepts and terminology (though we can never get away from that entirely).

I don't know about getting information though the head. Sorcerers say everything we perceive we do via the emanations selected by our assemblage point. The assemblage point can move anywhere in our luminous egg, even to where normally would be outside of the egg by stretching it.

The assemblage point can move anywhere in egg. The J curve is just a path that it can take. But it is one we want it to take because it is perhaps the fastest way to get it to be in front, at the point of silent knowledge. When the assemblage point (AP) moves, your perception changes. The colors and stations were described by Dan only so that we would have terminology to talk about what happens at those zones the AP travels through. So for example, when it moves down, you are at the green zone (color not really important). There you are able to see the puffs or see an inorganic being, depending how much down it goes.
We don't usually see our double as an outside entity. What you saw could have been an inorganic being or something else.
Other people's doubles could potentially appear as anything. However, for whatever reason, they are usually perceived as looking like the physical person. So Dan can recognize Cholita because her double looks just like her, maybe at a different age, and she may be glowing. In the books, Castaneda sometimes interacts with Genaro's and Don Juan's doubles, but he doesn't even realize it because they look just like them. But then Taisha's female teacher appears to her as a totally different person looking like a male, because the teacher could choose what to look like in her double.

Thank you. This makes sense. There was one time that the purple energy popped out and it looked like me. I was suffering through this time where I would get rashes all over my face. I figured out that if I put coconut oil there, the rashes would just slide off and my face would look younger and more beautiful.
This turned into an ordeal where I would shed "bad" energy and one early morning after an all nighter, a giant purple scorpion appeared as a cloud and flew out of the left part of my body. it bounced out the west window and even though it was a light being, it made a giant crack in the street.... and then it turned into something that looked like me. I was instructed to pray for an angel to come, and i did... a yellow light being the shape of a human appeared-- the crosswalk sign just morphed into this.
My purple double just hung in the street. It had mini horns and was kind of devilish. I cared about this being so much.... I told the yellow being to take care of it. This whole ritual ensued after that... was that my double?
This was at a time that i was very sick and shadow beings kept torturing me. I really thought i needed an exorcism. I thought i needed to clear my energy centers... and some esoteric stuff supported this. Does any of this make sense to anyone? Do the fluffs just constantly play tricky games?

I am having some trouble with the books. I first read "A Separate Reality" because I liked the cover art around age 22. I loved it and believed it. The next book I found was "The Art of Dreaming" which was too much for me back then. I thought" No way could this be possible..." And an older colleague laughed at me for believing so I shoved it all aside.
At age 46, I am trying to read the other books in order but they seem ridiculous and far too long winded given my direct experiences. Carlos seems like such an idiot having no imagination to grasp the simplest things. Don Juan just seems like a cruel trickster... though I wish I was his student instead of ridiculous Carlos merely trying to write a book.

Overall body pain is a severe barrier at first.
It pushes the assemblage point to the right, regardless of what level you are at on the J curve.
But on the blue that just makes you doubt it, and think it's not worth doing, and you should go back to some relaxing activity like watching movies or eating ice cream.
A horizontal shift at the blue line is sort of "invisible" for figuring out what's going on.
Feels like just more normal fussiness.
At the green line, it just produces fright.
Down at the red?
Hell itself might break through a huge visible crack in your darkroom wall, with plaster falling to the floor all around you.

Don Juan really meant it when he said sorcerers need to keep in "tip-top shape".
And even then, finding a "favorable position for the assemblage point" is rare.
Rare that the sorcery, even out near the purple zone, feels incredibly good.
It's usually a bit "tainted" with the slight aches and pains of normal living.
Chemo must be a huge obstacle.
I have stage 4 ovarian cancer which I cleared a few months ago after major surgery and chemo. I might not "die" but in many ways i am already dead and just clearing the wreckage out so that i can move on. My world is cluttered with family and work making ridiculous demands to keep me here. I certainly know that i don't have 50 years of time to zen out in so-called silence to satisfy whatever barrier... i'm gone already. dead already.
This is what Carlos termed "Dead Dreaming" or accepting that you're already dead, and using that feeling to alter our long-standing habitual reactions...to constructive effect.
Intent is everything. If you dedicated every waking and sleeping moment as being part of your path of practice, in an unbending way, then you could very well accelerate things.
Part of that would be taking the excessive demands from family and work as petty tyrant practice
One of the benefits of this "system" is that is really can be a 24/7 thing, and thus the compound affects can be felt much, much sooner.
At the core of it is the fight against the ego, our incessant/continual attending to the demands of the self. All of the "formal" maneuvers (practices) support that fight.
